Li Lili was waiting for Xi Xinxin early in the morning.
He stylishly tucked his school uniform into his belt, revealing only a thin short-sleeved shirt underneath. He first noticed Yu Shuwen already in her seat and was about to go over to say something when he heard a reprimand.
"Get dressed properly! What kind of appearance do you look like!"
Just as Li Lili was about to angrily retort, "I already told you not to call me..." before he could even utter a human name, he recognized the person as the head of student affairs: "Don't call me by my clothes."
He hurriedly unbuttoned and put his clothes back on: "Good morning, Director!"
The head of the teaching department nodded in satisfaction and left.
Yu Shuwen, who had witnessed the entire event clearly, looked at Li Lili with a very strange expression: "Oh~"
Li Lili blushed and explained, "People should respect the elderly and care for the young. The stronger someone like me is, the more I should give way to the other person."
Seeing that Yu Shuwen was ignoring him, he didn't know what to say and could only stand anxiously at the door waiting for Xi Xinxin to arrive. But he always felt that Yu Shuwen's eyes were full of mockery when she looked at him. He comforted himself, thinking that it was reasonable for her to be a high school student with a limited perspective and not understand someone as strong as him.
After waiting for a long time, he finally saw Xi Xinxin's figure. He strode forward and said, "Foolish commoner, tell this prince, what exactly does the organization you are working for want to do?"
Xu Chacha, who was standing next to her, also heard about this and thoughtfully translated: "It seems like they're asking why you opened the shop."
Xi Xinxin seemed a little hesitant, as if she had made up her mind: "I'll tell you for twenty yuan."
"How dare you!" Li Lili blocked the doorway. "I advise you to confess honestly."
"Twenty yuan, or there's no room for negotiation."
"Well, that works too. After all, powerful people have to pay a price for knowing information."
Twenty-five yuan
"How could you take this opportunity to raise the price!"
Twenty-five yuan
"Wait. Here you go."
Thirty yuan
"Sister! You're my sister!" Li Lili's imposing manner vanished: "My mother asked me to ask, she wants to know what you do with your shop."
Xi Xinxin was puzzled: "System, why can't he even come up with thirty yuan?"
(Host, you actually want this?!)
Xi Xinxin didn't think it was necessary to hide what she was going to do. Mainly, she wanted to get into the classroom and didn't want to linger at the door, so she told Li Lili some of the specifics of what she needed to do. He was sensible and went back as soon as he heard the message.
She wasn't worried about what her mother-in-law was going to do; in fact, she might be able to help her a lot.
Sure enough, when Li's mother learned that there would be a small music station, she came to discuss it with Xi Xinxin again.
It turns out that she loved listening to all kinds of music when she was young, and later got to know many bands of different styles. Music styles change so quickly these days. She hasn't heard music that satisfies her in a long time.
Once, while shopping with her friends, she saw a group of young people performing on the street. Their music style instantly caught her eye; it had been a long time since she'd heard such an upbeat style. Initially, she wanted to hire them to play a few pieces at her home, but the young people all declined.
They were missing a lead singer, and since they couldn't guarantee they could play well, they declined the offer. They were also performing on a dedicated stage.
However, after much pleading and cajoling, these young men decided to play a few pieces for her. The music was light and lively, and their style was somewhat immature.
And they also asked themselves to find a stage.
"Auntie knows several orchestras now, although I don't know if you need those kinds of resources. But Auntie can provide you with them. I believe it will be much easier than you going to job fairs on your own."
Xi Xinxin couldn't deny it, and indeed she couldn't possibly recruit only one style of band: "Mrs. Li, I think we can collaborate on this. But I'd like to know what styles we'll be looking for."
Soon, the two agreed on a time to enjoy the orchestra.
There are three groups in total. One group says they haven't found a suitable lead singer yet. But that's not a problem.
Xi Xinxin was satisfied with the final result. All three groups, regardless of their style, were very suitable for performing next to a bar, and might even be a beautiful sight to behold.
"What I mean is, these three groups can start advertising now. Then when you officially open the store, some of your old customers will come directly. What do you think?"
"But where will they advertise?" Xi Xinxin asked.
Li's mother grasped this point: "That's why I want to collaborate with you on this. I'll be in charge of the publicity."
Xi Xinxin smiled and said, "Does Madam Li really believe I can do this well? It's just a small shop. Your investment might not even cover the cost of getting it back."
"No, I believe in you. I think you have the ability. Even if things don't go well, do you think my family will lack money? If you mess it up, I can take the opportunity to buy the store."
"Haha, Madam Li has a good plan, but it's been a pleasure doing business with you."
"Pleasant to cooperate"
Speaking of lead singers, Xi Xinxin suddenly remembered Guan Jing's electric guitar, but she hadn't seen him in a long time. Perhaps he'd moved away from the neighborhood. It was a bit of a pity. Maybe she could still give it a try.
She stopped thinking about things she wasn't sure about. The construction team had contacted her. If all went well, she would indeed be able to hand over the entire shop to her after the college entrance exam.
