Chapter 38 is the 38th chapter, which means tomorrow will be the 39th chapter.

The man struggled desperately to get up, but the child, with an unknown amount of strength, held him firmly in place, unable to move. The commotion had already attracted several onlookers, who, unaware of what was happening, simply watched from a distance.

"Hello, sister, could you please call the police? Thank you." Xi Xinxin greeted a woman and nodded slightly.

The woman chuckled, amused. "Little girl, you're quite the talker. I'll call the police for you, you know..." She then looked at the person on the ground, whose expression was contorted and who was being pinned down by Xi Xinxin, and shook her head regretfully. "Shameless."

The man was furious. Why couldn't these people see the situation? He was the one being suppressed! He was the weaker party! But he wasn't alone. He shouted. Several people emerged from all directions: "Get me up! Run! The police are coming!"

Looking down at the struggling man, Xi Xinxin smiled and smoothly pulled out a retractable baton from her pocket: "Brothers and sisters watching the show, stay away."

The crowd obediently backed down considerably, and no one knew where this young girl got such strong willpower.

However, none of the men believed it. They thought that if word got out that they, a group of men, had been threatened by a little girl, how could they face others?

Xi Xinxin hit their legs repeatedly, forcing several of them to kneel down. Even as she brandished the wooden stick, they dared not approach her: "I'm not saying this to be mean, but we're not performing any show. Just apologize to me and stop bothering this shop, that'll be enough."

"What era are we living in, why are you forming gangs?" Xi Xinxin seized the opportunity to grab one of the men's heads and entangle his hands. "You guys decide what to do, or I'll smash this man's face into the ground." With that, she pretended to slam him down.

"Ah no no no, we give up, no, my face, my face is no good, what's wrong with you guys, quickly raise your hands and call me sister."

When Xi Xinxin returned to the store, the men were already obediently following behind her. She chuckled, "Oh, you still need some work-up. Being questioned by the police really makes a difference."

The man who had initially started the fight was now crestfallen. His name was Xiao Teng, and this was the only time he'd ever been to a police station since he was a thug. He'd almost ended up in jail. He couldn't even beat a little girl; the sight of a whole group of them standing in a row apologizing to her had truly broken him.

Xiao Teng rubbed his hands together and smiled apologetically: "Little sister, it's all a misunderstanding. I didn't know you were such a good fighter."

"Huh? You mean you threaten someone you can't fight, right?"

"No, no, no," Xiao Teng waved his hands repeatedly: "We have already learned from our education that we should be honest."

"Hmm? You mean you won't behave unless you've been educated?"

Xiao Teng now wished he could slap himself to show his determination: "No, no, no, I wouldn't dare. My brothers and I plan to find jobs honestly."

Xi Xinxin ignored him; she had wasted too much time with these people. She entered, greeted the masters briefly, and glanced at the situation. She then stated her requirements and left.

I didn't expect those burly men to still be there.

Xiao Teng grinned, his face crinkling with wrinkles: "So, little sister, do you think your shop needs bodyguards?"

Do I look like I need bodyguards?

"Hey, little sister, that's not right. Look, you've got me on your side, and you don't have to lift a finger. Hurry up! Call me Big Sister!"

"Greetings, Boss!!" A deafening voice

Xi Xinxin was speechless for a moment: "I don't run a gang, and I can't afford to support so many of you, so I just open a small shop."

"Hey little sister, no, big sister, how about we exchange contact information? If you need anything, just call us brothers." Xiao Teng never wanted to go to the police station for questioning again. He didn't even want to see the police. He had deeply understood the principle that one shouldn't be so arrogant.

Annoyed by the constant pestering, Xi Xinxin gave a perfunctory reply.

The opening ceremony of the sports meet is fast approaching, and everyone holding up the placards is wearing the same uniform. Today is a rehearsal of the process.

The men wore suits, while the women wore long, gorgeous dresses with trains. As soon as Xi Xinxin got her clothes, several girls urged her to try them on.
