Chapter 9 Important Day

Chapter 9 Important Day

At nine o'clock in the morning, after Xu Ren'er and Mo Youli had breakfast together, they came to the bamboo forest where they practiced martial arts.

We watched the meteor shower together last night and went to bed late, so today we both tacitly agreed not to open the book to read and use it to catch up on sleep.

Before they stepped into the bamboo forest, they heard the rustling sound of sword practice. Different from Tang Beiju's sword practice sound, this sound was sharp and fierce, carrying the vitality and sharpness of youth.

The sound of sword practice is like the sound of a spring, which makes people feel relaxed and comfortable, as if they are listening to a beautiful piece of music.

As you get closer, you can see a young man in blue casual clothes in front of you, with a smile on his face and gentle eyes.

His swordsmanship is light and graceful, flowing like clouds and water, and pleasing to the eye.

This swordsman was none other than their master, Yu Hui.

Xu Ren'er and Mo Youli felt embarrassed to disturb him, so they found a place at random and started doing their own things.

Today, Mo Youli no longer simply does horse stance. Yu Hui has also taught him many moves, which he now needs to practice repeatedly to achieve physical memory.

After all, Xu Ren'er came late. Although he tried his best to catch up with the progress under Yu Hui's supervision, learning martial arts should not be underestimated and should not be rushed, so he is still in the stage of laying the foundation.

The two were immersed in practicing martial arts, and time passed by unknowingly until Yu Hui stopped his movements, retracted his posture, then strode to the bamboo chair and lay down.

Today there is a small bamboo table next to the bamboo rattan chair. On the bamboo table is a light brown tray. On the tray you can see a teapot of the same light brown color, and the color almost blends in with the tray.

In front of the teapot are several white porcelain teacups visible to the naked eye, with the bottoms of the cups facing up. A plate of dishes is placed on the large empty space on the tray, and on the plates are freshly washed green fruits.

Yu Hui picked up one of the white porcelain teacups, turned it upside down with the bottom of the cup facing down, and held the teapot handle with his other hand. Drops of light green water fell into the teacup, making a loud sound of water.

Yu Hui savored the fragrance of green tea. When he had finished drinking the green tea, Tang Qiuyue and Tang Beiju finally arrived.

"Did you discover the secret martial arts manual passed down by a peerless master in your dream last night? Why are you here so late?"

Yu Hui placed the teacup on the tray with a "pa" sound and asked in a gentle tone with a smile.

The four disciples shuddered collectively in an instant. Xu Ren'er glanced at the Tang siblings and couldn't help but feel worried for them.

Tang Qiuyue reacted quickly. She quickly bent down and bowed. Seeing Tang Beiju standing still beside her, she raised her right arm, exerted force with her right hand, and pulled Tang Beiju to indicate that he should follow her movements.

"Disciple knows his mistake! Master, please punish us!!"

Damn it! I had so much fun last night that I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I ended up oversleeping.

Tang Qiuyue cursed inwardly.

She trusted Tang Beiju too much. Tang Beiju had always been very hardworking in martial arts training and would get up before dawn every morning to practice swordplay. Over a long period of time, she would go to bed as usual, assuming that Tang Beiju would wake her up the next morning.

Unexpectedly, today was a complete disaster. She had never expected that one day, she would wake up earlier than Tang Beiju. This morning, she was the one who woke Tang Beiju up!

"How could you have done something wrong? Why should I punish you?" Yu Hui asked with a confused look on his face, tilting his head.

His question silenced both of them.

They are not fools and can still hear the sarcasm. If they respond, it will only add fuel to the fire.

Seeing this, Yu Hui's eyes flashed with a gleam. He glanced at the fruit next to him, picked up the plate and placed it in front of the two of them, and said softly:

"It must have been tiring coming here so early in the morning. You probably haven't had breakfast yet. I cherish my disciples the most in my life. How could I bear to see you hurt yourself?

Come, eat some fruit, and then go practice!"

After he finished speaking, he moved the plate forward and waved it in front of the two of them.

"Qiuyue doesn't dare!"

"It's okay, just eat it. It will be fine after you eat it."

It seems to be persuasion, but it is actually forceful.

Seeing Yu Hui insisting on letting them eat it, Tang Qiuyue had no choice but to pick up a fruit and hand it to Tang Beiju, then took her own portion, gritted her teeth and chewed it.

So sour!!!!

Tang Qiuyue's face twisted instantly, but she still insisted on finishing the fruit, her entire mouth almost numb from the soreness.

Compared to Tang Qiuyue, Tang Beiju was much calmer. Except for the first bite, when his eyes twitched subconsciously twice, he finished the rest of the meal with an expressionless face.

Yu Hui stared at the two of them intently until he saw them chew the fruit until only the core was left. Only then was he satisfied and decided to let them go. He said softly, "Go practice!"

"yes!"

After getting permission, Tang Qiuyue quickly stood up, pulled Tang Beiju up and disappeared from Yu Hui's sight.

Xu Ren'er had been watching them from the side, and when he saw Tang Qiuyue bending down and bowing without hesitation despite Yu Hui's scolding, he couldn't help but feel deeply moved.

She was almost getting used to this kind of life, but there were always some unexpected actions that reminded her that she didn't belong here.

At least, in her world, being late for class would at most result in being punished by standing outside the classroom, and sometimes the teacher would even turn a blind eye.

But it is basically impossible to see her bending down and bowing immediately, as this style is obviously incompatible with her modern life.

"Ren'er, what's wrong with you?"

Yesterday, Yu Hui saw that Mo Youli was learning very quickly, so he taught him another set of fighting moves. Mo Youli practiced more today and finally finished learning it, but he always felt that something was not right, as if some parts were a little lacking in interest.

Unable to figure it out, he simply put aside his doubts and turned to look down at Xu Ren'er's progress. He found that Xu Ren'er's expression was not right, as if he had suffered a great shock.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about how to better keep up with your martial arts training progress, and my mind was distracted for a moment."

Xu Ren'er shook his head and lied to him.

"It's okay. You came later than us, so it's normal that your progress is not as good as ours. If you work harder, you will definitely catch up with us."

Hearing this, Mo Youli immediately comforted her.

He glanced at Tang Beiju and Tang Qiuyue not far away, raised his brows, and said curiously, "Qiuyue is fine, but this is the first time I've seen Beiju break Master's rules! It's really rare!"

Xu Ren'er was a little surprised when he heard this.

"Really? That's impossible! I've been here for so long, and Beiju has always been nice to us, but he's always been cold to Master.

I thought Beiju particularly hated Master, so how could he possibly obey Master's rules so well?!"

Mo Youli shrugged, showing a helpless expression, and continued:

"Don't even mention you. Qiuyue and I were also shocked when we discovered the truth. Honestly, even though Beiju seems to hate Master, he's the one who follows Master's words the most strictly among all of us disciples! Even I occasionally slack off and test Master's tolerance, but Beiju never does that."

After finishing his words, Mo Youli felt that what he said was not rigorous enough, so he continued to add:

"I can't say it's never happened, but it's never happened since I came into contact with them."

It seems that when looking at people, you can't just judge them by their appearance. She didn't expect Tang Beiju to be so law-abiding. She thought Tang Beiju was the most rebellious among them.

Xu Ren'er sighed from the bottom of his heart.

"Then can you tell me why Beiju is so cold to Master? Every time he sees Master, he acts as if Master is the murderer of his husband, even though he's quite normal when he's playing with us."

Xu Ren'er raised a question that had been puzzling her for some time.

In response to this, Mo Youli shook his head helplessly.

"I don't know either. In fact, I was very curious and asked Qiuyue, but she didn't know either.

As for asking Beiju directly, you can probably tell he has a very awkward personality. If he doesn't want to say something, even if you pry his mouth open and force him to say it, he won't utter a single word. There's nothing you can do about it."

The man and the dog were communicating non-stop. Suddenly, they felt a chill on their backs. They looked towards the source and saw Yu Hui holding a fruit in his hand, looking at them with a smile.

When he noticed that they noticed him, he kindly waved and greeted them, looking particularly friendly.

But Xu Ren'er and the others noticed that the fruit, which had just been intact in Yu Hui's hand, was suddenly crushed by him, and the juice even flowed out through the gaps between his fingers.

“…”

“…”

The two turned their heads silently and looked at each other. The next second, they tacitly moved away from each other and began to concentrate on practicing their tasks for the day.

Time is slowly disappearing bit by bit, and before you know it, a year has passed.

Mo Youli and Tang Qiuyue learned more and more moves, and the content became more and more complicated. The number of times they slacked off also gradually decreased with the weight of learning, and finally slowly became non-existent.

As for Tang Beiju, he no longer practiced alone, and Yu Hui became his special target for training.

In the bamboo forest, a young man had a determined gaze and attacked with each move more forceful than the last. The sweat from his forehead splashed in the air and his back was completely wet.

The person he was fighting just kept smiling, and the wooden sword in his hand was like a toy, which he fiddled with at will. If you pay close attention, you will find that not even a strand of his hair is messy.

Xu Ren'er watched the four people's activities quietly. Now she was the only one left, silently doing horse stance.

It's a bit lonely when there is no one to share the hardships with.

She also wanted to learn the moves quickly instead of just laying the basics monotonously here.

"thump!"

As expected, Xu Ren'er once again saw the wooden sword that Tang Beiju was holding being knocked away by Yu Hui's casual movement and fell to the ground.

“Come again!”

Tang Beiju said viciously.

He has lost count of how many times he has failed, but he still perseveres and keeps fighting.

"No! Today is an important day for Qiuyue and Ali~" Yu Hui refused.

As soon as the words fell, everyone was stunned.

Tang Beiju reacted quickly. He nodded silently, walked over to pick up his knocked-down wooden sword, randomly found an open space, sat down to meditate, and thought about new moves that could be used to deal with Yu Hui.

"Master, what important day is this? How come I don't know about it?"

Tang Qiuyue finished practicing the last move and asked.

Yu Hui curled the corners of his lips and gestured, indicating that the two should come to him.

The two of them walked up to him, Yu Hui turned around and walked silently in a certain direction. Tang Qiuyue and Mo Youli looked at each other and followed him.

On the way, Yu Hui happened to see Xu Ren'er when he passed by, and he stopped.

Seeing this, the two people following behind also stopped.

Yu Hui stared at Xu Ren'er quietly for a long time, staring at him so hard that Xu Ren'er felt goosebumps all over his body and felt uneasy inside.

"Master, what's the matter?"

Xu Ren'er looked up at him and asked cautiously with a tentative tone.

However, Yu Hui just remained silent.

He was thinking whether to include Xu Ren'er in the share.

After a long time, he finally spoke.

After all, it is a relationship between a master and a disciple. Xu Ren'er's situation is special, so there may be other opportunities. What's more, no one knows what accidents may happen in the future. It may not be a bad idea to take her with him to try it out in advance.

"Ren'er, you should go with the other two and follow me."
