Chapter 95 Marry Me.
Li Mushi went upstairs wearing slippers.
Ah Hu stayed by Jing Ge's side.
Upon seeing him arrive, Ah Hu nodded and left.
Jingge, who had held back her tears for several minutes, finally broke down the moment she saw him, sobbing and throwing herself into his arms.
Li Mushi caught her, tightened his arms around her, and whispered, "It's okay. Even if Ah Long and Ah Hu aren't here, I'll be alert if you don't contact me within ten minutes of going upstairs."
Ever since this girl started openly clinging to him, he's been sending her as many messages as he talks.
Li Mushi knew her little habit: she would always send him a message within ten minutes of going upstairs, even if it was just to tell him that she was going to take a shower and would video call him after she finished, so that he could be ready to answer the video call.
Jingge sobbed uncontrollably, "How could he be so disgusting? I'm his daughter, how could he do this to me..." He wanted her to suffer a fate worse than death.
Even Li Mushi's usually cold and hard heart was clenched by her crying.
Jingge shed tears as she wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him.
"He'll definitely still try to get his hands on me, Li Mushi..."
“Hmm,” Li Mushi bent down slightly, matching her movement, and supported her waist with his arms to make it easier for her to hang. “Go on.”
Jing Ge answered, "Will you marry me?"
The man's body froze without him even realizing it.
Jing Ge's eyes and nose were red, and she didn't notice the man's suddenly heavy breathing. She said to herself, "Marry me, marry me. I don't want to take it slow. I'm afraid he'll come up with other ways to deal with me. I don't want to do this anymore."
"..." Li Mushi's eyes were restrained, but some things become more uncontrollable the more they are restrained. "Is there another solution you want?"
Jing Ge's voice was very nasal: "Hmm?"
Li Mushi caught her expression: "What else do you want?"
Jing Ge: "You, I want you."
The air stopped moving silently.
Li Mushi said slowly, "What do you want from me? Do you want me to help you solve your current predicament, to deal with your father, or do you want me to teach you something?"
Just as she had answered before, as she had when she lived in the official residence.
She wanted him to help her break off the engagement.
She wanted him to teach her how to cook.
Something like this.
Jingge's tears fell, and she choked out, "I don't want any of that. I want you, I want you as a person."
"..." As if he had received a satisfactory answer, Li Mushi's pupils darkened. "Why me?"
It's because he can help her.
It was because he saved her again.
Or perhaps it's because he's the only person she can trust.
When he asked these questions, Li Mushi's back was taut, like a bowstring stretched to its limit, ready to snap at the slightest breeze.
But the girl didn't notice his state of mind. Having just gone through a catastrophe, she cried pitifully, "I like you."
Something stopped in mid-air.
It is Li Mushi's heart.
He held his breath and asked, word by word, "You like me?"
Jing Ge nodded: "I like you."
Li Mushi's voice dropped even lower: "What kind of liking?"
She liked him when he was her uncle.
He was too nervous, even though he was usually shrewd and deep.
But on this issue, he was just an ordinary man, as ordinary as could be.
He was afraid that the young girl would be attracted to something new, afraid that she would be fickle, and afraid that she would confuse concepts.
Li Mushi's heart, which had stopped beating, was about to explode, yet he insisted on waiting for her to give him a definite response.
Jing Ge stood on tiptoe, and after the man bent down a little more, he kissed his thin lips.
“This kind of liking,” she sniffed, “is the kind of liking a woman has for a man.”
The long wait in her heart and lungs suddenly exploded violently after receiving a reply. Li Mushi grabbed her chin tightly, making her look directly into his sharp eyes.
Say it again, think it through before you speak.
Once you've said it, you can't go back on your word.
He wouldn't let her get away with liking someone today and not liking them tomorrow.
This was the last chance he was giving her to hesitate.
Jingge pouted her lower lip in a wronged arc: "It hurts so much."
Li Mushi loosened his grip slightly.
Jing Ge: "Come closer."
The man pressed his forehead against hers, bringing the distance between them almost to zero.
Jingge could feel his rapid breathing.
She lifted her chin and captured his lips in her mouth: "It's this kind of liking, the liking of wanting to make love with you."
As the last note faded, Li Mushi gripped the back of her neck tightly and kissed her fiercely.
Every cell in my body is screaming and boiling.
Jing Ge teased him, but under his forceful kiss, he became disheveled, his whole body was pressed against the wall, his head was forced to be raised, cooperating with his fierce and deep kiss.
Jingge's forehead was damp, and her lips were wet. She didn't know how long he had been kissing her, so long that she was in a daze, her thoughts drifting to a very distant place.
It's like in the scorching heat of midsummer, under the dappled sunlight of lush trees, the plants exuding a natural freshness, embracing each other, kissing each other.
Jingge had never felt so at peace. Her wandering heart finally found a stable place to rest. She loved stability, certainty, and everything that Li Mushi had given her.
Because she was loved by him, she felt so full of energy that she even wanted to embrace the world.
The man loosened his grip slightly, but still didn't let go. His lips kissed her fluttering eyelashes, the tip of her nose, her blushing cheeks, and finally returned to her lips.
"All you do is flirt," he said hoarsely, "but will you take responsibility?"
He was incredibly bold in his words and actions, but after just two kisses, he became so weak he couldn't stand up.
Jingge was supported by his strong arms, his unfocused eyes focusing on his eyebrows and eyes, from the few strands of hair that covered his eyebrows to his deep pupils and his rosy lips.
Jingge thought to herself, "Her man is so handsome."
She raised her arms, wrapped them around his shoulders, and kissed him recklessly—his chin, his stubble, his handsome nose, and his thick eyebrows.
Li Mushi lowered his head and kissed her.
"Li Mushi," she murmured, "hold me, hold me."
Li Mushi bent down and let her sit on his arm, while his other arm supported her back and waist as he carried her towards the bedroom.
He placed Jing Ge on his bed, and Li Mushi took off her coat, lay down on top of her, and wrapped the two of them in the blanket.
Jing Ge: "Didn't wash..."
“It’s not dirty,” Li Mushi kissed her sweaty forehead. “It smells good.”
He then promised her, "I'll wash your sheets tomorrow."
The single bed was narrow, and it was crowded when two people slept in it. Jingge was like a rag doll, snuggled tightly into his arms.
Li Mushi kissed her, but did nothing else.
Jingge's ear rested on his heart: "Don't you want it?"
Li Mushi: "What do you want?"
Jing Ge: "..."
“You’re still so young,” he realized, “not at the age to have children.”
"..."
How did we end up talking about children?
oh.
There are no contraceptive devices.
Jingge kissed his chin: "I want to get our marriage certificate first."
She felt insecure.
She had to make herself his.
She wants to be registered in his household register.
She wanted to tie her name to his name.
