Chapter 7: Siblings with Hidden agendas
broken.
Jin Suiqing dared not move.
What to do, what to do, what to do!
Jin Suiqing dared not look away and forced herself to meet Jin Shiyu's gaze.
Jin Shiyu smiled broadly, his honey-colored eyes shining, and he reached out his hand to Jin Suiqing: "Did you hurt yourself, little sister?"
Jin Suiqing held her breath, propped herself up with her hands on the ground, pretended not to see him, walked past Jin Shiyu, and strode straight into the room.
Jin Shiyu reached out and grabbed Jin Suiqing's forearm: "Where are we going?"
Jin Suiqing opened her eyes wide and stared straight ahead, being pulled along by him as she continued to walk in place.
I'm sleepwalking, I'm sleepwalking. Jin Suiqing hypnotizes himself, "Don't let my dead leg cramp up, step on it!"
All the complaints and shouts in her heart turned into the strength of Jin Suiqing's legs, and she stomped harder and harder. Even though her arms were pulled at an odd angle, she continued to stomp.
You must not break your composure, you must not break your composure.
Jin Shiyu squatted on the ground, her eyelashes fluttering slightly. She gave a cold laugh, released Jin Suiqing, and watched her push open the door and rush inside.
As she returned to her room and closed the door, Kim Si-ok smiled and waved to her: "Goodnight, little sister."
A creak broke the silence of the night, finally waking Huihong, who was sleeping on the outer side. She got up and saw the little princess, as if possessed, walk to the bed and lie flat on the covers.
Huihong was startled and hurriedly went to check on him. She saw that Jin Suiqing's eyes were closed, his breathing was steady, and his mouth was slightly open, emitting a soft snoring sound.
Despite her doubts, Huihong tucked Jin Suiqing in, put on her clothes, and opened the door to investigate. She saw Jin Shiyu standing with his back to her in the courtyard.
Huihong asked with even more suspicion: "Young Master Shiyu?"
Jin Shiyu had his back to her and was looking down at something.
Seeing that Jin Shiyu did not reply, Huihong thought of his cold and gloomy little courtyard again, and felt a wave of fear. She was too timid to move.
After standing there for a long time, Huihong saw Jin Shiyu's toes rub against the sand twice before she turned her head. Jin Shiyu had light-colored eyes and fair skin. Under the moonlight, he was so white that he seemed to glow, making him look even more like a ghost. Huihong was so frightened that she took a step back and almost fell to the ground.
"Young Master Shi... Shi Yu!"
“You were sleeping so soundly that you didn’t even notice the little princess moving around,” Jin Shiyu said calmly. “The little princess has sleepwalking problems, so please be more careful around her.”
Huihong asked hesitantly, "Then...should we tell the master?"
Do you think it would be helpful to tell him?
Huihong was so frightened that she didn't dare to breathe, her head lowered and her hands clenched tightly: "I...I understand."
Kim Shi-ok turned and left.
After watching the person leave, Huihong immediately fled back to her room. She glanced at Jin Suiqing, then burrowed into the covers as if her life depended on it, shivering uncontrollably. After a while, her icy hands and feet finally warmed up a bit.
I didn't sleep a wink all night.

When Chai Zixin returned to the palace to report on his duties, he grabbed his master and accused Jin Suiqing of his crimes for almost an hour, until Huangfu Ying sent someone to summon him, which forced him to stop.
Before leaving, the master patted Chai Zixin on the shoulder and reminded him, "When speaking in front of the Emperor, you must think twice before you speak, especially when it involves the young princess."
Chai Zixin seemed to be deep in thought. When he saw Huangfu Ying, she was reviewing memorials at her desk. Huangfu Li popped out from behind Huangfu Ying and hopped over to her side.
Huangfu Li asked eagerly, "Mr. Chai, does my sister like the gift I gave her?"
Chai Zixin paused, carefully tilted his head to peek at Huangfu Ying, and said cautiously, "Your Highness, the little princess doesn't particularly like legal weapons."
"What do you mean you don't like it?" Huangfu Li asked. "Was it something I gave you that wasn't appropriate? Could it be that you don't like ducks, but prefer something else? Last time I saw you holding a cicada..."
Huangfu Ying cleared her throat: "Xiao Li, what about the manners your teacher taught you?"
Huangfu Li retreated to Huangfu Ying's side, feeling wronged, but her eyes never left Chai Zixin.
Huangfu Ying: "Why doesn't the princess like it?"
Chai Zixin: "Your Majesty, after teaching the young princess for over a month, I have discovered that she seems to have an innate aversion to mechanics. No matter the teaching method, she finds it extremely annoying."
Huangfu Ying: "Annoyed?"
Talking with his master, Chai Zixin was able to calmly bring up Jin Suiqing. He said, "The young princess... seems to be..."
"Please feel free to speak."
“The young princess is indeed not very bright, and it is extremely difficult for her to develop intelligence, especially in terms of ingenuity and magic,” Chai Zixin said loudly. “Not only that, the young princess is also unruly and shrewish, and lacks manners.”
Huangfu Ying understood: "Thank you for your hard work."
After asking a couple more questions, Huangfu Ying continued to focus on her official duties. Beside her, Huangfu Li feigned interest and innocently said, "Is my sister really that stupid? What if she's just pretending?"
Chai Zixin suddenly became alert.
Huangfu Ying also lifted her eyelids and glanced at him.
Beneath his wide robes and sleeves, Chai Zixin clenched his fists to suppress his trembling and replied, "The young princess is still young, and her likes and dislikes are particularly evident. Especially in front of those close to her, she remains foolish and willful, which doesn't seem like an act."
Huangfu Li: "Jin Shiyu?"
Chai Zixin nodded: "Exactly. The young princess can't live without Jin Shiyu. She even asked Jin Guizhong to take him away, keeping him from going to school and taking care of his daily life. It's really..."
He concealed the fact that he had taught Kim Si-ok.
Some things are better said, while others are better left unsaid.
Huangfu Ying glanced at Chai Zixin with a stern expression and asked, "What is the relationship between the two siblings?"
“Unlike ordinary siblings,” Chai Zixin said frankly, recalling the relationship between Jin Shiyu and Jin Suiqing. “Their relationship is so distant that it is likely that the young princess has a one-sided preference for Jin Shiyu. However, in my opinion, the young princess lacks discipline. Although she cares about Jin Shiyu, she has not learned how to respect him.”
The implication is that the young princess treated Jin Shiyu as a close servant, otherwise she wouldn't have detained him and prevented him from going to school.
Huangfu Ying nodded in satisfaction, pressed down Huangfu Li who wanted to ask something more, and told Chai Zixin to leave. Even after he stepped out of the Meridian Gate, his knees were still sore and weak. Under the scorching midday sun, his vision blurred, he tripped and fell, and fainted.
When Chai Zixin woke up, he found that he had been carried back to the Jin residence.
Chai Zixin lay on the bed, desperately counting on his fingers.
Three years, he still had to endure three more years until Jin Suiqing, his little darling, turned six and was able to attend the National Academy. Only then could he end this life of fear and trembling.
Chai Zixin rolled over, buried his face in the blanket, and tried to suffocate.
On the other side, Jin Suiqing was sitting at the dining table with Jin Shiyu.
Jin Shiyu said he wanted to stay for dinner. He took the chopsticks from Huihong's hand and put them into Jin Suiqing's hand: "Sister can eat by herself, so don't trouble Huihong anymore."
Huihong was taken aback.
etc.
What does the young master call the young princess?
Having stayed by Jin Suiqing's side for so long, I have never heard Young Master Shiyu call the little princess "sister".
Huihong was too scared to speak and waited silently for Jin Suiqing to refuse. Unexpectedly, the little princess, who was usually too lazy to eat by herself, obediently picked up her chopsticks and ate some food.
Huihong was completely dumbfounded.
Jin Suiqing pouted. Last night, Jin Shiyu almost caught her braid, and she felt extremely guilty, fearing that he would bring up the matter of sleepwalking.
Seeing that she was eating absentmindedly, Jin Shiyu bent her finger and gently tapped Jin Suiqing's forehead: "Don't get distracted, eat properly."
Jin Suiqing pouted her little mouth almost to the sky.
Huihong thought that the little princess would finally lose her temper, but unexpectedly, Jin Suiqing held back for a long time and finally managed to say "oh", and actually lowered her head and ate her food obediently.
Jin Shiyu placed a piece of water bamboo shoot into her bowl with his chopsticks: "Sister, eat more vegetables."
Crisp water bamboo shoots filled her small bowl, while the golden-brown water bamboo shoots were painstakingly scraped to the rim of the bowl. The tender meat that was about to be put into her mouth was pressed to the bottom of the bowl.
Jin Suiqing was displeased and gave him a protesting look. Jin Shiyu glanced at her and chuckled softly, "Does little sister want to eat meat?"
"Yes." Jin Suiqing nodded solemnly.
"Help yourself," Jin Shiyu said, placing another piece of celery on Jin Suiqing's plate. Then, she changed the subject, "Besides, eating too much meat can make you dream a lot at night. Have you been having a lot of dreams these past few days, little sister?"
Jin Shiyu looked at her with a half-smile.
Jin Suiqing gasped, her heart pounding in her throat. She blinked, bewildered, and asked, "Brother, brother?"
"Hmm?" Jin Shiyu stared at Jin Suiqing, chewing slowly.
He ate very elegantly, slowly, without opening his mouth to show his teeth, and chewing very quietly, so much so that it was almost inaudible unless you listened very carefully.
This made Jin Suiqing look as if Jin Shiyu was putting her into his mouth and chewing her up.
Damn it, he kept staring at her.
horrible.
"The Wind Blows Over the World" is told from the female protagonist's perspective, depicting Jin Shiyu as a playboy who rarely appears in the story. The only time he appears is when Huangfu Feng's daughter returns, and Jin Shiyu takes the opportunity to kill Jin Suiqing, who has been humiliating him.
Jin Suiqing had always treated Jin Shiyu as a two-dimensional character in the book since she transmigrated into it. Only now did she gain a more concrete understanding of this adopted brother.
Kim Si-ok wasn't just a silent, sullen person; the night he was drawing, he was deliberately waiting for her.
He had keen intuition and could sense that Jin Suiqing's actions were not motivated by ulterior motives, and he would test her.
Even though Jin Suiqing is only a three-year-old child.
Everyone in this book is incredibly shrewd!
Jin Suiqing bit her chopsticks in frustration, thinking that rather than underestimating her opponent, it was because Jin Shiyu was hiding her true intentions so well that she couldn't see any flaws.
What should we do next?
Jin Suiqing pondered for a moment, then looked up and met Jin Shiyu's eyes without flinching, saying foolishly, "Brother, I want to eat meat."
She decided to continue playing dumb; at this point, Jin Suiqing had no better choice than to pretend to be stupid.
Jin Shiyu smiled faintly and continued to serve Jin Suiqing vegetables. When the vegetable leaves in her bowl had piled up into a small mountain, he said, "You can only eat meat after you finish your vegetables."
"Brother keeps putting food on my plate, I can't finish it all!" she screamed, throwing down her chopsticks. "I'm not eating anymore, I'm not eating anymore!"
Before she could jump off the table, Jin Shiyu grabbed her arm: "Where are you going?"
"Brother... I don't care."
Jin Shiyu didn't even look up. He grabbed her with his right hand and put food into his own bowl with his left: "Eat your meal before you leave."
Jin Suiqing twisted her wrists forcefully, trying to break free from Jin Shiyu's restraints: "I hate my brother, I don't want my brother!"
“Too late,” Jin Shiyu sneered. “I told you, I’ll keep you company from now on, so don’t find me annoying, little sister.”
Jin Suiqing's eyes widened.
It takes two to tango, and Kim Si-ok is also a vengeful person.
Jin Suiqing grabbed Jin Shiyu's forearm, brought it to her mouth, avoiding the gauze on the back of his hand, and bit down on his wrist.
Although she bit, she only held it in her mouth; her purpose was to act foolish and throw a tantrum, not to actually make anyone angry.
The smell of medicine powder mixed with the stench of blood made Jin Suiqing slightly puzzled. He had scratched him that day, and the wound should have scabbed over by now. Why was there such a strong smell of blood?
Jin Shiyu felt a sense of relief and let her bite him, then lifted her into his arms. He was left-handed, so holding Jin Suiqing didn't interfere with his eating at all.
When she finally opened her mouth, Jin Shiyu used his gold-flecked chopsticks to pick up a piece of tender meat and stuff it into her mouth: "Eat the meat, don't eat your brother."
Jin Suiqing chewed fiercely, and she could even sense that Jin Shiyu, who was holding her, seemed quite pleased.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and Jin Suiqing, eager to gain favor, seized every opportunity to pick up her chopsticks, stick a meatball in the center of her chopsticks, and hold it to Jin Shiyu's lips: "Brother, you should eat too."
Jin Shiyu's expression changed drastically, and he slapped Jin Suiqing's chopsticks away.
Jin Suiqing was stunned: "Brother?"
What's wrong with him again? He's happy one minute and unhappy the next. Why is Kim Shi-ok so hard to read?
My brother is sick.
He has a serious illness.
Jin Shiyu's face was gloomy, and his cold eyes swept over the chopsticks on the ground. He said to Huihong, "Go and get the little princess a new pair of chopsticks."
Huihong hurriedly left after cleaning up the mess on the ground, while Jin Shiyu held Jin Suiqing and fed her with his own chopsticks.
During the meal, Jin Shiyu only fed her, but never touched his chopsticks again.
