Chapter 6 Six Milk Balls

Bo Yan's action was too sudden, and the tingling feeling on the tip of his nose was too strange.

Ruan Mian was so frozen in place that he didn't realize what was going on until nearly ten seconds later, when Bo Yan had already walked forward. He then got angry and shouted at Bo Yan fiercely, "Are you sick?"

But his voice is so babyish that when he gets angry he sounds like a cat acting coquettishly.

Bo Yan turned around and said calmly, "Sorry, I was mistaken. I thought there was catkins on the tip of your nose."

Ruan Mian: “…………”

After taking two more steps, Ruan Mian suddenly realized something and turned his head to sneer at Bo Yan: "Are you kidding me? It's September now, where did the catkins come from!"

"Hmm?" Bo Yan turned his head and raised the corner of his lips slightly, "So I was wrong and didn't mean to tease you."

Ruan Mian was completely speechless.

He finally discovered that this thin inkstone always made him choke and speechless!

When I walked to the school gate, there were two boys standing there.

One is Wen Tang, and the other is the one Ruan Mian had seen last time, the one with peach blossom eyes.

The two men were not standing close to each other, and it was obvious that they were waiting for their own people. But when they saw the people they were waiting for come out together, both of them showed surprise on their faces.

"What's going on?" Wen Tang asked Ruan Mian in a low voice, "Don't you dislike him?"

Ruan Mian felt a little embarrassed when talking about this. He subconsciously raised his hand to touch his nose, but suddenly remembered the touch just now. His hand froze in mid-air for a moment, and then quickly put it down. "No problem... just, he said that there is a shop with delicious clam noodles..."

There was no need to explain further, Wen Tang already understood.

Wen Tang couldn't help laughing, and tapped Ruan Mian's forehead helplessly, "Ruan Ruan, you really are a little foodie."

In order to eat, people are willing to sit at the same table with people they dislike.

"I'm not!" Ruan Mian immediately retorted, "We cool guys just don't care about such trivial matters!"

"Okay, okay," Wen Tang agreed with him, "You're always right if you're cool."

The two of them talked to themselves for a long time before turning their attention to Bo Yan and the handsome guy with peach blossom eyes.

The peach blossom eyes man was indeed handsome, as tall as Bo Yan, and with a slender figure, but now his hair was a mess like a chicken coop, and he was wearing a vest and shorts that looked like an old man taking a walk, and he was wearing flip-flops without paying attention to his appearance...

"You..." Ruan Mian hesitated, "just got up from the bed?"

"That's right," Peach Blossom Eyes said this with a hint of resentment in her tone, "I've already lain down, and Bo Yan..."

"Cough..." Bo Yan, who was standing aside, suddenly coughed.

Her peach blossom eyes paused, then she smiled and said, "I was lying down, and suddenly I felt very hungry, so I called Bo Yan out for a midnight snack."

Bo Yan's expression became more interesting.

The four of them walked to the clam noodle shop together. Peach Blossom Eyes introduced herself in a very familiar way: "I wanted to say hello to you last time. My name is Han Yi, Han as in Han Xin, Yi as in Yi Zhi, and I'm from the Y Academy of Fine Arts."

"School of Fine Arts?" Ruan Mian leaned over to look at him, "Then you and Tangtang are in the same department."

"Tangtang?" Han Yi reacted, glanced at Wen Tang, and said with a smile, "We are from the next class and have taken big classes together. He usually looks too aloof, so I don't dare to go up to say hello. I didn't expect that Nickname is so cute."

"I am also very cool now. Also," Wen Tang raised his chin, "Tangtang is not my nickname. You are not allowed to call me that."

"If you don't want to call me, then don't call me," Han Yi responded straightforwardly. He looked at Wen Tang, and for a moment his eyes seemed very focused. "But, next time we meet in school, can I say hello to you?"

Wen Tang still had that indifferent look, "It's up to you."

Ruan Mian looked at him in surprise, but didn't dare to ask more questions because there were other people around.

Perhaps in the eyes of others, Wen Tang's attitude towards Han Yi is definitely not warm, and can even be described as cold, but only Ruan Mian knows that this is not the case.

Because of past experiences, Wen Tang actually behaves very cold except in front of Ruan Mian.

Ruan Mian knew about Wen Tang's sexual orientation since junior high school, but in all these years, she had never seen him be nice to any boy.

Han Yi can be said to be an exception.

The Hua Clam Noodle Shop is not big, with only two tables in total.

A young couple was sitting at one of the tables.

Probably because four handsome guys with different styles came in at once, the girl's eyes were fixed on them. Her boyfriend scooped a large spoonful of clams from his bowl, put it in the girl's bowl, and whispered, "Stop looking at them, eat quickly."

The girl then hastily looked away.

After we sat down, the proprietress came over with a menu and greeted us warmly, "Handsome boys, take a look at what you want to eat?"

"I want the signature clam vermicelli," Han Yi glanced at it, then raised his head and asked lazily, "What about you?"

It was Ruan Mian and the others’ first time to eat at this restaurant, so they all ordered the same thing as him.

"Then four of our signature clam noodles," Han Yi wrote an elegant 4 in the box with a pen, and then wrote a few small words next to it before asking, "What would you like to drink?"

"Do you have soy milk in glass bottles?" Wen Tang looked around the store, "Ruan Ruan likes to drink it..."

But before he could even utter the last “h” in the word “喝”, Ruan Mian interrupted him hastily, “I don’t want it!”

"Ah," Wen Tang blinked, "Don't you drink this every time?"

"I..." Ruan Mian said with a stern face, trying to save face, "How could I, a cool guy, like to drink soy milk? It's always you who insists on ordering it for me!"

Wen Tang was stunned, and before he could say anything else, Ruan Mian reached his hand under the table and secretly poked Wen Tang in the waist in what he thought was a covert move.

Wen Tang shut up instantly. Ruan Mian was satisfied. He pretended to cough, then looked up and said to Han Yi, "Give me an orange soda, thank you."

A hint of smile flashed across Bo Yan's eyes, but soon disappeared under the incandescent light. He said calmly, "I want orange soda, too, like Ruan Mian."

This was the first time that Ruan Mian heard Bo Yan say his name. It was not an intimate nickname, but his full name. However, before these two words passed between Bo Yan's lips and teeth, he could clearly feel that his tone was different from usual.

It's as if... as if it was tainted with a hint of tenderness.

The moment this thought came into his mind, Ruan Mian trembled all over and suspected that both his ears and brain were broken.

"I want beer," Wen Tang's voice brought him back to his senses, "Si Ting."

"Wow!" Han Yi exclaimed in surprise, "You can drink so much? That's great, finally someone can drink with me. Bo Yan is a dog who doesn't drink at all."

This surprised Ruan Mian.

He originally thought that someone like Bo Yan would be able to drink at first glance.

Perhaps noticing his surprised look, Bo Yan moved his thin lips and said lightly: "I don't like the taste of alcohol."

Ruan Mian looked at his cold expression when he said this, and suddenly overturned her long-held belief. It turned out that alcohol was not the only thing that went well with cool guys.

The four people are actually not familiar with each other, especially with the existence of Bo Yan, a natural refrigerator, but with Han Yi around, there will be no dull moment.

Han Yi is good at finding topics to talk about, and he can make the conversation relaxing without making people feel offensive.

He looked at Ruan Mian and Wen Tang and asked casually, "Are you high school classmates?"

"No," Ruan Mian shook his head, a little pride showing between his eyebrows, "We were in the same class in junior high school."

"That's still not as long as me and Bo Gou have known each other," Han Yi raised his eyebrows proudly, "We grew up together wearing open-crotch pants."

"You wore it," Bo Yan glanced at him coldly, "but I didn't."

Ruan Mian was amused and half-jokingly said, "Then you two can be considered childhood sweethearts!"

"Puff!" Han Yi made an exaggerated gesture of spitting out food, with a weird expression, "Don't say that. I don't dare to be his childhood sweetheart."

After saying this, he changed the subject and asked, "So you are all from Haicheng too?"

Ruan Mian nodded, "Yes."

"Which high school did you go to?" The beer came first. Han Yi opened a can and pushed it to Wen Tang first. He opened another can and took a sip before continuing, "I went to No. 8 Middle School."

"A school for the rich second generation," Ruan Mian supported his chin and replied, "Tangtang and I both went to No. 1 Middle School."

"Wow, what a coincidence?" Han Yi tilted his head to look at Bo Yan and nagged him with his elbow. "You two are so close, maybe you have met each other in high school."

Ruan Mian quickly understood what Han Yi meant and was surprised again. He looked at Bo Yan and asked, "Are you from the Second Military School?"

The relationship between their No. 1 Middle School and Bing No. 2 Middle School is basically like the relationship between S University and Y University today. They are very close, and when I was in high school, they were always compared to each other by teachers.

"Well," Bo Yan pushed Han Yi's arm away. Just then, orange soda came up. He poked a straw into one of the bottles and handed it to Ruan Mian. He continued what Han Yi had said before, "Maybe we have really met before."

Who would have thought that after hearing this, Ruan Mian said without hesitation: "Impossible!"

"Oh?" Bo Yan looked at him with interest and raised his eyebrows. "Are you so sure?"

Ruan Mian thought to himself that of course he was sure. For someone as recognizable as Bo Yan, he would definitely remember him after meeting him once.

But it sounded like he was praising Bo Yan, and Ruan Mian was not happy about it, so he snorted and said, "It's rare to see someone as... annoying as you. If I had seen you once, I would definitely remember it for years!"

Wen Tang and Han Yi both laughed when they heard this.

Bo Yan looked at Ruan Mian, and his eyes seemed to become very gloomy at a certain moment, but it was only for a moment, and before Ruan Mian noticed, they had returned to normal.

He opened his mouth and repeated softly, "Can you really remember it for so many years?"

The tone in which Bo Yan asked this question was actually quite different from usual, as if he was suppressing something in a very restrained manner.

But Ruan Mian was indeed as slow as a straight man in some aspects. He didn't hear it at all and nodded naturally, "Absolutely."

Bo Yan lowered his eyes and looked at him again, his thin lips moving slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he said nothing, just smiled lightly.

The clam noodles finally arrived. Three of them were bright red, but the remaining one was watery and had no chili oil at all.

Seeing Bo Yan taking the non-spicy rice noodle, Wen Tang was stunned, "You don't eat spicy food? Non-spicy clam noodles are completely soulless."

"Yes, yes, yes," Han Yi also echoed, "I think so too, it's soulless!"

Bo Yan curled his lips, suddenly took the chili sauce on the table, scooped two large spoonfuls without hesitation, and poured it all into Han Yi's bowl.

Han Yi hurriedly stretched out his hands to cover the bowl, and scolded him with a smile: "You are such a dog, how can you be so mean?"

Bo Yan still looked calm, as if he was not the one being called a dog, and said lightly, "I see you lack soul, so I'll give you a little more."

Han Yi said "Fuck!" and looked at Ruan Mian again, "Aren't you surprised? Aren't you wondering if someone would eat clam noodles without adding any spice?"

Ruan Mian swallowed a mouthful of vermicelli, rolled his eyes, and said expressionlessly: "After I saw his boiled eggs with white porridge, I had expected this day to come."

Bo Yan's taste is really too cold.

Who would have thought that after hearing Ruan Mian's words, Han Yi suddenly laughed meaningfully, "Wow, so you guys actually had supper and breakfast together?"

"Yeah," Ruan Mian didn't understand the deep meaning behind this and said casually, "He wants to eat with me."

"That's great," Han Yi smiled even more happily, "We can eat something else together later."

Bo Yan coughed again, turned his head slightly, and gave Han Yi a warning look, "Why, it's not delicious or not spicy enough?"

Han Yi stopped smiling immediately, "It's delicious and spicy enough!"

Bo Yan asked again in a cold voice, "Why are you still talking so much?"

Han Yi quickly raised his hand, made a zipper-like gesture at his lips, and said, "Brother, I'll shut up, please calm down."

Bo Yan retracted his gaze, lowered his head, and continued to eat his tasteless-looking clam noodles. His movements were still unhurried and elegant.

Only Ruan Mian was still at a loss. He blinked his big round eyes blankly and asked, "Would you like to eat something else?"

After asking this question, Bo Yan's hand holding the chopsticks paused slightly.

Wen Tang called him softly, "Eat quickly, the noodles are all softened."

Ruan Mian's attention was immediately diverted. He made two "oh" sounds and started eating.

Wen Tang looked at Bo Yan thoughtfully. Bo Yan raised his head and met his gaze. He did not flinch or avoid it. He looked innocent and slightly curled the corners of his lips.

All the clam noodles were eaten up, and Wen Tang and Han Yi drank ten cans of beer together before the midnight snack came to an end.

When they reached the school gate, Ruan Mian was ready to send Wen Tang back to the dormitory as usual, but was stopped by Han Yi, "Isn't there a living person like me? We live in the same dormitory building. You two go, and we go together. It's perfect."

Ruan Mian did not agree directly, but looked at Wen Tang again.

Seeing Wen Tang nodded, Ruan Mian agreed. They said goodbye to each other and returned to the dormitory together.

I don’t know why, but after that night, Ruan Mian’s attitude towards Bo Yan seemed to have suddenly changed a little bit.

Perhaps he felt that Bo Yan tonight was like he had shed a layer of his outer shell compared to when other people were around. Although he was still cold and taciturn, he seemed a little more lively and real.

Therefore, this time, Ruan Mian did not find an excuse to let Bo Yan go upstairs first, but quickly bought two boxes of instant noodles from the vending machine, and then the two walked to the dormitory door together.

"You go in first," Bo Yan lit another cigarette by the window, "Good night."

It was dark outside the window. The moment the fire lit up, Bo Yan's eyes narrowed slightly, and at a certain moment, he inexplicably showed a sense of loneliness.

It makes people subconsciously want to stay with him.

The words that came to his lips, "How about I wait until you finish smoking this cigarette", were barely swallowed by Ruan Mian. He patted his forehead in annoyance, feeling that his brain was going crazy tonight. In the end, he just said "Oh" and said, "Then I'll go in."

After saying these five words, Ruan Mian turned around and left without waiting for Bo Yan to speak.

But after taking two steps, he couldn't help but stop.

After standing there for two seconds, Ruan Mian turned around and glanced at Bo Yan hastily. His tone was very impatient, but the words he said were very soft, "Well, good night!"
