Chapter 116 The Wang Family

Madam Wang recalled her past painful failures and felt somewhat troubled.

Gu Yaoniang spoke up at the right moment: "Why don't we have Bitao go with us? She knows how long to steam it."

Madam Wang nodded happily.

Gu Yaoniang instructed Bitao, "When you're in the kitchen, remember to make the ginger vinegar as well, and bring it over with you."

Bitao obediently agreed and turned to follow the Wang family's little maid to the back kitchen.

"Why ginger and vinegar? I don't think it's in the recipe."

Madam Wang couldn't help but be suspicious. Although she wasn't a skilled cook, she remembered the ingredients in the recipes perfectly.

Madam Wang thought it made sense, but for some reason, she felt that Yao Niang emphasized "we women" in her words.

Seeing that Madam Wang seemed to have noticed, Gu Yaoniang couldn't be too direct and stopped there, so she chatted with Madam Wang and her daughter about everyday matters.

"Mother, you've forgotten all about your daughter now that Yaoniang has arrived!"

Wang Zhilan, who was standing to the side, chimed in, coquettishly pleading with Madam Wang.

Looking at the close mother and daughter, Gu Yaoniang couldn't help but feel a little envious.
