Gu Pingsheng reached out to take the sugar block from the master's hand, but the sugar maker quickly took the sugar block back and put it back on the cutting board.
Gu Pingsheng let out a soft "Eh," thinking that the sugar figurine maker was about to back out again.
But the sugar figurine maker snorted coldly, "You young man, so impatient!"
He reached out and touched Gu Pingsheng's palm. This action was quite abrupt, and although they were both men, Gu Pingsheng was so frightened that he shrank back.
The sugar sculptor chuckled, then scoffed, "Young man, you're so hot-tempered. Your hands are so hot, won't the sugar melt if you hold it like that? Let it cool off in the cold air first."
Gu Pingsheng then realized what was happening, scratched his head, and the sugar figurine master frowned again, pointing to a bucket of water next to him and saying, "Wash your hands before you start making one."
He turned to look at Gu Yaoniang: "Young lady, would you like to make a sugar figurine?"
Gu Yaoniang had only come to check on Gu Pingsheng and was already waiting, but upon hearing this, she became interested and asked, "Boss, could you make a little rabbit?"
The master held out his palm: "Ten coins."
Gu Yaoniang chuckled and gestured to Bitao behind her to give her some silver.
The sugar figurine maker seemed to regret his decision when he saw that she hadn't bargained. Gu Yaoniang could easily see through this and couldn't help but find it somewhat amusing.
The sugar sculptor taught her how to blow air slowly and evenly into the sugar block, and then quickly sculpted a small rabbit and handed it to Gu Yaoniang.
He muttered to himself, "Using a sledgehammer to crack a nut."
He muttered in a low voice, which Gu Yaoniang naturally didn't hear. Bizhu and Bishuang, who practiced martial arts, had better hearing and couldn't help but glance at their master a few more times.
Over there, Gu Pingsheng's hands, already slightly red from the cool breeze, shone brightly. He held his hands up to the sugar figurine maker, asking expectantly, "Is it ready?"
