Chapter 19 Invasion

Chapter 19 Invasion

Yin Jiu contacted a lawyer on the way to the police station.

The other party came over soon after. After understanding the situation, the lawyer asked Yin Jiu what he needed to do. Yin Jiu made two requests: "Handle according to the law, no reconciliation."

Since we have solid evidence, the next step is easy to handle.

Suspected of theft, false accusation of minors for theft, extortion, damage to other people's property... With so many illegal acts added together, the skinny man is as arrogant as he is now.

He and his accomplices begged for mercy in various ways, but Yin Jiu remained unmoved.

This is clearly a setup, targeting Ning Changyue, the silly kid who doesn't look very smart.

If Yin Jiu hadn't come, given my aunt's attitude of settling things peacefully, I might have just had to pay the money to settle the matter.

This might not even be the first time something like this has happened.

Thinking of this possibility, Yin Jiu felt uncomfortable.

Children are sometimes very naive and always think that people who believe in me will believe in me unconditionally even if I don’t explain.

Then reality will cruelly tell him that even if you open your mouth to explain, no one will believe you.

Thinking of some past events, Yin Jiu sat in the driver's seat and was absent-minded for a while.

He has been away from the police station for a while. The case has been sorted out and the illegal duo has been detained. There is nothing he can do next, and the prosecution and accountability have been taken over by lawyers.

Perhaps feeling embarrassed, Ning Changyue's aunt sneaked away halfway through after seeing that the matter was resolved.

She should have loved Ning Changyue, but after all, she was not her biological child, and her years of devotion gradually turned into resentment.

Ning Changyue...is not a likable child either.

Not all parents love their children unconditionally, let alone relatives who are separated by a layer of distance.

With a "click" sound, the flame ignited, and Yin Jiu lowered his head to light the cigarette in his mouth.

Slowly letting out a breath of anger, Yin Jiu opened the car window and said to Ning Changyue, who was standing not far away kicking stones, "What are you standing there for? Get in the car."

She followed me here but didn't get in the car. Was she waiting for him to invite her?

Could this really be the case?

Ning Changyue came over immediately after Yin Jiu's invitation. He sat in the passenger seat and fastened his seat belt awkwardly.

If you don't know him, you would think he is a very polite and well-behaved child.

Yin Jiu didn't move for a while because he hadn't finished smoking.

A faint minty smell filled the car. Halfway through a cigarette, Yin Jiu leaned out of the car, holding the cigarette between two fingers, and said half-teachingly and half-jokingly: "Next time you pick up something, you must return it to the original owner, okay? Otherwise, if something like this happens again, there won't be another me to save the situation."

Ning Changyue lowered his head and said nothing.

From the time we met until now, he has been very depressed.

"This time you've learned a lesson. You'll have to be more careful next time, okay?" It was rare for Yin Jiu to be so patient with someone.

Unfortunately, the child didn't appreciate it and kept pointing his head at him.

If it were someone else, Yin Jiu would probably just ignore him. As for Ning Changyue...

Forget it, why bother with a mentally handicapped child.

He pinched off the burning cigarette and threw the butt into the trash can on the side of the road, then started the car.

The air conditioner was on in the car, but the windows were wide open, and the warm wind blew in. Yin Jiu was distracted for a moment.

Then I slowed down unconsciously.

The person leaning against the window enjoying the breeze fell asleep at some point.

"System."

"I am here."

Yin Jiu said in a casual tone: "I feel like you are particularly quiet whenever Ning Changyue is around."

The system said, “Is there?”

Yin Jiu asked back, "No?"

"You haven't said a word since you left the house. This is not like you at all."

After all, most of the time, the system is the perfect interpretation of the word noisy.

Of course, it would make people think too much if someone who chatters all day suddenly becomes silent.

"Probably because he is just an unimportant supporting character and there is not much to say about him." The system explained.

Is it just because of this?

I always feel that it is a little inconsistent.

Perhaps realizing that his attitude was wrong, the system changed the subject and took the opportunity to come up with a brilliant idea: "Host, do you want to call Li Xinzhu and ask him to pick up his brother? I think this is a good opportunity. Of course, we should leave our names behind when we do good things. We can use this opportunity to advance the plot!"

Yin Jiu agreed: "Well, what you said makes sense."

And then there is nothing else.

The car drove smoothly all the way back home. When we arrived at the underground garage and parked in the parking space, Ning Changyue woke up.

Yin Jiu thought it was a little funny. If you say he was too alert, he would sleep soundly in a stranger's car. If you say he was not too alert, he would wake up as soon as the car stopped.

All I can say is that everyone is a contradictory individual.

"Come on, get off the bus. I guess you don't have anywhere to eat, so let's just stay together today."

Yin Jiu felt quite fortunate at this moment, fortunately he had prepared a lot of dishes today.

Ning Changyue was still a little dazed after just waking up. His slightly long hair was blown into a mess, looking shaggy like a bunch of weeds.

My hair color is slightly yellowish, I don’t know if it’s natural or due to malnutrition.

He followed all the way until Yin Jiu unlocked the password door, then he seemed to suddenly wake up, his eyes wide open, flashing with disbelief.

Yin Jiu didn't look behind him, so he didn't notice his expression change. Yin Jiu bent down to open the shoe cabinet to get new slippers, but the person behind him had already quickly entered the house, stepped off his little white shoes, put on Yin Jiu's slippers and ran into the house.

"Hey, wait a minute..."

Yin Jiu stood there in a daze holding the new slippers. Seeing that he had already entered the house, he finally gave up and put on the new slippers silently.

When I entered the house, I saw Ning Changyue standing in front of the fish tank, looking a little disappointed.

The fish tank in the living room is quite large, taking up half of the wall. There are many colorful lamps and marine decorations, but it’s a pity that there are no fish inside.

I raised them at first, but later I neglected them because I was busy. Gradually, they either starved to death or died of illness, and the house has been empty ever since.

"You sit down and watch TV for a while. I'll go to the kitchen first." After giving these instructions, Yin Jiu went into the kitchen.

After leaving for a few hours, although the air conditioner was still running, some ingredients were no longer usable. Fortunately, the crabs were still alive and kicking.

After throwing away some stale ingredients, Yin Jiu washed a plate of fruit and prepared to give it to Ning Changyue to fill her stomach.

However, when he came out of the kitchen, he did not see Ning Changyue in the living room, so Yin Jiu started searching the house with a fruit plate.

Although his house has three bedrooms and two living rooms, only one of them is used as a bedroom. The other two rooms have been converted into a study and a gym.

To put it in a positive way, Yin Jiu is a very territorial person. To put it in a negative way, Yin Jiu is a very domineering person.

He is unwilling to share anything that belongs to him, so he has never considered letting anyone stay overnight, and he will never invite friends to his home just for fun.

I didn't expect that the first time I made an exception in so many years, I would meet someone so unruly.

To be honest, it is extremely impolite to walk around in someone else's house without the owner's permission. For a moment, Yin Jiu regretted it.

Like an animal whose territory has been invaded, he was plagued by an inexplicable irritability.

It was not until he was outside the study that he saw Ning Changyue lying on the rocking chair in the corner, rocking leisurely.

He closed his eyes with a smile on his lips, like a lazy big cat sinking into a beautiful dream, extremely satisfied.

This seemed to be the first time Yin Jiu saw him smile.

Maybe only ten seconds had passed, or maybe several minutes had passed. Yin Jiu came back to his senses, knocked on the door with his fingers bent, and spoke in an incredibly soft voice: "Stop playing, come out and eat some fruit first."
