Chapter 114: The Sickly and Unruly Man Disdained by the Educated Youth 27 (1/2)

"who!"

A large patch of fluffy white reeds swayed gently, making rustling sounds, as if someone was hiding in it. Yuan Jiang's brows were furrowed in vigilance, and her fox eyes showed coldness.

She only felt a cold and disgusting gaze in the dark sticking to her like a poisonous snake.

Who is it?

Chen Zhijie? He's lame, so he probably can't keep up.

Zhu Chunhe? Her face is disfigured, and she's probably busy getting treatment now.

Then who else?

Wang Chunhua? Or Pei Jinbao?

Yuan Jiang's heart was beating fast as she stared at the dense reed marsh. A chill ran down her slender back. She clenched her palms, slowly stood up barefoot, and walked towards the reeds in front of her.

"I see you, come out." She threatened coldly.

The reed flowers were blown by the breeze and swayed slowly.

Yuan Jiang's hair stood on end as he looked at the tightly packed patch of reeds. He quietly picked up a sharp stone, his breathing stagnant for a moment, his eyes fixed on it, and pushed aside the reeds.

Nothing.

Yuan Jiang frowned even tighter, her eyes dimmed. Her premonition was right. The gaze that was glued to her had not disappeared. Who was it and what did he want to do?

Suddenly, the sound of water splashing was heard behind me.

Yuan Jiang turned around suddenly and saw Pei Zhuo emerging from the water. His clothes were wet and clung to his strong and muscular chest, revealing his sexy muscle lines. He shook his head vigorously to shake off the water from his hair, and in his left hand was holding a fish weighing ten kilograms.

The icy cold water splashed onto Yuan Jiang's fair feet. She pursed her lips, lowered her eyes to look at the wet hem of her skirt, and angrily frowned: "Pei Zhuo, you wet my skirt!"

"Ah?" Pei Zhuo opened his eyes, his bright, blank pupils moving, his gaze falling on the wet hem of his wife's skirt. He scratched his head awkwardly, then apologized with a smile: "I'm sorry, wife. I'll go home and wash it for you."

"I caught a fish. Tonight I'll learn from mom how to make soup for you. Don't be angry, okay?" Pei Zhuo shook the fish in his hand.

Yuan Jiang pursed her delicate lips and hummed, then stretched out her white and tender feet: "Big idiot, come up and help me put on my shoes."

"I don't like it here. Let's go home."

This dense reed marsh made her feel uneasy. She always felt that she was being targeted by some dirty creature. It was such a large and dense reed marsh. If she was not careful, something unpredictable might happen.

"Wife, what's wrong with you?" Pei Zhuo didn't care about catching the fish when he heard that. He punched the fish on the head and knocked it unconscious. He hurried to the shore, squatted in front of Yuan Jiang's white socks and small leather shoes and asked.

"It feels like someone is staring at me." Yuan Jiang pursed her lips, a hint of sadness covering her beautiful brows.

Pei Zhuo was anxious: "What?!"

He hurriedly put on Yuan Jiang's socks and shoes, then stood up angrily and pushed aside reeds one by one: "Which bastard dares to stare at my wife? I'll beat him to death!!!"

He pumped his fist.

"Come on, let's go home first." Yuan Jiang shook his head helplessly, and looked around vigilantly, but didn't find anything unusual.

Pei Zhuo seemed to have taken it to heart and didn't dare to go too far away from Yuan Jiang. He just scanned the area nearby and didn't see any suspicious figures. He pursed his lips tightly and had a stern face, with a fierce look in his eyes as if he was protecting a child.
