Footsteps sounded outside the door. Gou Dan, who had just run back to the bedroom, blinked his emerald green cat eyes and stared intently at the doorway. He was tense and uneasy, and a strange glint flashed in his eyes.
"Thump, thump, thump..." The footsteps grew closer and closer.
Immediately afterwards, the door was slowly opened, and against the light, a pretty and charming girl appeared in Gou Dan's field of vision. She raised her hand and pressed the light switch, and the room was suddenly illuminated by the dazzling incandescent light. Dog Egg raised its paw and began licking its paw pads faster, looking very busy, but ignoring Yuan Jiang.
Yuan Jiang chuckled, stroked Gou Dan's cat ears, leaned closer, pressed her forehead against Gou Dan's, and teased him with a mix of genuine and feigned flirtation in her eyes: "Gou Dan, do you like me calling you baby?"
Dog Egg blushed and his heart pounded as he croaked, "Meow~~" He liked it.
In human terms, "baby" means "treasure" or "precious person," someone cherished by their owner!
"Then..." Yuan Jiang moved a little closer, her lips almost touching his: "Where's my husband?"
".......!"
Dog Egg pressed its two pink paws against the cat's ears, meowed excitedly and shyly, suppressed the heat on its face, and gently brushed Yuan Jiang's cheek with its tail.
