Li Yanxi then stepped into the room, his dark eyes scanning the room inch by inch. When he saw the bed, his gaze paused, and the curve of his lips widened.
Yuan Jiang closed the door, sat opposite Li Yanxi, and poured him a cup of tea: "Young Master Li, is there something you need?"
"Hmm." Li Yanxi picked up her teacup, took a sip, and after a moment's thought, said softly, "Miss Yuan Jiang, I have already found the best doctor around here for you. However, abortion is harmful to a woman's health. Are you really sure?"
Yuan Jiang's thick, long black eyelashes slowly drooped, casting a shadow on her eyelids. She touched her flat stomach, and a wave of nausea rose in her stomach. She raised her face and said firmly, "I've made up my mind."
"Young Master Li, please take me to find that doctor."
“Since Miss Yuan Jiang has made up her mind, I will not try to persuade her any further.” Li Yanxi sighed softly, “I will take you there at midnight tonight.”
"Why midnight?" Yuan Jiang asked, puzzled.
"This is a folk belief. Abortion means the loss of a baby's life. Some doctors are averse to this, so they will deliberately choose a time to perform an abortion. After the abortion, they will perform a ritual to help the deceased baby pass on to the afterlife, so that the baby can be reincarnated." Li Yanxi said slowly. He was happy that Yuan Jiang didn't want the child. He was sure that he would have other children with Yuan Jiang after he married her!
Yuan Jiang pursed her lips and gave a listless "Oh".
Li Yanxi hesitated for a moment, then carefully raised his hand and placed it on the back of Yuan Jiang's hand, his eyes revealing deep affection: "Miss Yuan Jiang, don't worry, I won't look down on you. After you finish this pregnancy, I will propose to you and marry you."
"In the future, you will have a second and a third child."
Yuan Jiang's face hardened, and almost instinctively she pulled her hand away. She felt a nauseous disgust at the touch of Li Yanxi on her hand, but she didn't show it. She turned her head away from his gaze and said, "Young Master Li, you..."
Li Yanxi paused, then stood up to interrupt Yuan Jiang before she could speak: "I know you don't have the mind to think about these things right now, but I'm willing to take care of you. Alright, Miss Yuan Jiang, get some rest. See you at midnight tonight."
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Yanxi turned and left, afraid that if he lingered even a second longer, he would hear Yuan Jiang reject him.
Watching Li Yanxi leave in a hurry, Yuan Jiang helplessly tugged at the corners of her lips, planning that after the child was born, she would go home with the ginseng demon and steal some of the ginseng demon's dead subjects to give to Li Yanxi as a thank-you gift.

Midnight (11 PM - 1 AM).
Li Yanxi led Yuan Jiang into a secluded clinic. The doctor was an elderly man over fifty years old. He stroked his white beard, looked at Yuan Jiang, and said in a low voice, "You go in first. I'll bring you some medicine later. It might hurt a little, just bear with it."
He pointed to the dark inner room next to him, which was lit only by a red candle.
Yuan Jiang responded and then lifted the hem of her skirt to go inside.
"Young Master Li, you'll have to wait outside. It might take two or three hours to resolve this," the doctor said, shaking his head and sighing.
Li Yanxi's gaze darkened, and she instructed, "Doctor, please make sure she gets rid of it completely."
"Hmm." The doctor's expression was solemn. There hadn't been many miscarriages in the past year, and with each miscarriage, his sense of guilt grew stronger.
After receiving a positive answer from the doctor, Li Yanxi glanced back at the inner room before leaving and waiting outside.
After an incense stick had burned for a while, the doctor entered the inner room carrying a bowl of dark Chinese medicine: "Drink it."
Yuan Jiang took two deep breaths, looking at the thick, dark Chinese medicine. The bitter smell lingered in her nose. She swallowed with difficulty, took the bowl of medicine, glanced at the doctor, who sighed again and turned to leave.
The interior was dimly lit, making people appear blurry.
When the moment finally came, Yuan Jiang hesitated again. She stared at the Chinese medicine quietly for a while before gritting her teeth, picking up the medicine, and lowering her head to drink it.
Bang!
The door was suddenly kicked open, and the only candle that provided light went out!
The room was plunged into complete darkness. Yuan Jiang paused in her action of drinking the medicine, and then a cold hand viciously gripped her vulnerable neck.
His cold lips pressed against her earlobe, and a sinister, hoarse voice, filled with madness and stubbornness, rang out:
"Jiang Jiang, I've caught you."
