Chapter 35 Chi Yuze, you'd better let go of my Xiao Zhier...
Xiao Zhier's voice was indifferent, and he smiled casually as if he was not paying attention: "You are a little strange."
Chi Yuze still had a gentle smile on his face. He seemed not to have heard the test in Xiao Zhier's words. He took two steps forward calmly: "Why did Brother Xiao say that?"
Xiao Zhier followed his footsteps and walked towards the infusion room: "I didn't know you knew Xu Ze before."
His words came out lightly, but Chi Yuze's pace was disrupted, and the smile on his face froze slightly: "Xu Ze?"
Xiao Zhier raised his eyes and looked at Chi Yuze. He smiled and said, "I noticed that your expression was not right when you saw Xu Ze just now. I thought you and Xu Ze were old acquaintances."
Chi Yuze's smile relaxed a little. He lowered his eyes and looked at Xiao Zhier and said softly, "How is that possible? I changed departments not long after I arrived at the medical school. I don't even know the students who came in after that."
Xiao Zhier's eyes flickered slightly, he raised his hand and stretched out a finger to point at Chi Yuze's shoulder: "Is that so? That's really a coincidence."
Chi Yuze took two steps back under the force of Xiao Zhier's fingers, and Xiao Zhier moved sideways and squeezed into the infusion room through the gap he made.
Chi Yuze stood there for a few seconds. He frowned and looked in the direction of the emergency room. But when he was about to enter, he froze.
Did Xiao Zhier tell him before...that Xu Ze was his junior?
Chi Yuze was feeling frustrated alone over there, but Xiao Zhier had already reached out to knock Chi Chan's head with a smile.
Chi Chan had a messy head of orange semi-long hair hanging behind his head. He looked up at Xiao Zhier with a hazy look in his eyes, and there was a hint of tears in his eye sockets.
Xiao Zhier laughed: "I heard that you were not feeling well..."
He dragged out his words. Xiao Zhier looked Chi Chan up and down. His eyes paused for a moment on the infusion needle on the back of his hand before he continued, "But you look quite normal to me. Are you asleep?"
Chi Yan's phone was confiscated by his brother on the grounds that he was sick and needed to rest. He was so bored that he wanted to grow mushrooms, and Xiao Zhier came to him on his own initiative.
He shook his orange hair casually and said, "It's just a small problem, not worth mentioning! Brother Xiao, why are you here? Are you feeling unwell?"
Xiao Zhier was relieved to see Chi Tong's lively appearance. He couldn't help but raise his hand to pull Chi Tong's hair: "I'm not feeling unwell, I'm here to accompany my students. Your hair... don't you fix it before you go out?"
Chi Yan waved his hands with an indescribable expression: "Is it me who doesn't want to? As soon as I said I felt uncomfortable, my mother got anxious and immediately dug Chi Yuze out of the bed and asked him to take me to the hospital. I was lucky enough to be able to change into normal clothes like this."
Chi Chen rubbed his hair casually and managed to gather it into a bunch. He took the rubber band handed to him by Xiao Zhier and tied a small bun for himself. Then he looked up at Xiao Zhier and smiled.
Xiao Zhier couldn't help laughing when he saw his silly look. He patted Chi Ling's head as if he was teasing a pet: "You are still sick, what are you laughing about?"
Chi Yan blinked, then touched his head belatedly, looking at Xiao Zhier with a silly smile on his face: "Yeah, but I want to laugh when I look into your eyes."
Xiao Zhier was silent for two seconds, then looked down at him silently: "To be honest, I am the same."
The two looked at each other for a few seconds and both laughed out loud.
"You're still laughing. Do you dare to tell Brother Xiao why you're feeling uncomfortable?"
While the two were laughing and joking, Chi Yuze sat down next to Xiao Zhier. He leaned lazily on the back of the chair, with his long arms relaxedly resting on the backrest behind Xiao Zhier, and raised his eyebrows at Chi Chen.
Xiao Zhier straightened his back and distanced himself from Chi Yuze without leaving any trace. Upon hearing this, he immediately curled his lips towards Chi Chan and said, "It seems that our Second Young Master Chi is not feeling well. Do you have any explanation?"
Chi Yan's face darkened, he glared at Chi Yuze fiercely, and almost squeezed out a sentence from between his teeth: "Chi Yuze, if you don't speak, no one will think you are dumb!"
Chi Yuze always enjoyed provoking Chi Yan to make her angry. He had no intention of being frightened by Chi Yan. Instead, he curled his lips with interest and said, "No, that won't do. I don't want to lie to Brother Xiao because of you."
Chi Yan sneered: "Have you not told enough lies?"
Oh, there's a surprise.
The smile on Xiao Zhier's face faded for a moment. He slightly turned sideways and looked at Chi Yuze with just the right amount of doubt. In just this moment, Chi Yuze felt as if all the blood in his body had run cold.
Xiao Zhier hated being deceived the most. Chi Yuze had been chasing after Xiao Zhier for many years, and he knew this better than anyone else.
Chi Yuze took a breath, trying to suppress the anger in his heart. He looked at Xiao Zhier with a hint of anxiety in his eyes: "Don't listen to this kid's nonsense. He just wants to bring the topic to me because he's afraid that you will laugh at him."
Chi Yan also reacted. He was afraid that what he blurted out would make Chi Yuze remember him more.
The young man's face was full of embarrassment. He raised his hand and grabbed Xiao Zhier's wrist, but Xiao Zhier took a low breath.
Chi Yan was so scared that he immediately let go of her hand. Xiao Zhier raised his hand to protect his arm and smiled at Chi Yan: "It's okay, don't worry."
Xiao Zhier stood up calmly, stretched out his hand and patted Chi Yan on the head twice: "My students are still over there, so I won't accompany you for long. Let's get together next time when we are free."
Chi Chan responded obediently. He subconsciously glanced at his brother and met Chi Yuze's gloomy gaze.
Xiao Zhi'er was keenly aware of Chi Yan's stiffness. He didn't even need to ask, and turned to look at Chi Yuze. Chi Yuze was so sensitive that he immediately looked up at Xiao Zhi'er and smiled faintly: "Brother Xiao?"
In fact, Xiao Zhier was not very willing to spend a long time with Chi Yu Ze. After all, the little bit of closeness they had in the beginning had long been worn away by Chi Yu Ze's irresponsible departure. The chaotic rumors made it difficult for Xiao Zhier to have a good face towards Chi Yu Ze.
but……
He sighed softly, and Chi Yuze obviously didn't feel sorry.
Xiao Zhier stared at Chi Yuze for a few seconds, with a smile on his lips as always, but his eyes were calm: "Chi Chan still needs to have a good rest, why don't you come out and talk with me?"
Chi Yuze was stunned. He didn't expect Xiao Zhier to take the initiative to invite him out for a talk. When he came to his senses, he immediately stood up and said, "I'll listen to Brother Xiao."
"Brother Xiao, you..."
Chi Chan looked at Chi Yuze with a bit of worry. He grabbed Xiao Zhier's clothes and spoke softly.
Xiao Zhier patted the back of Chi Can's hand soothingly and made a "please" gesture to Chi Yuze.
Chi Yuze didn't bother to be polite with him. The tall man nodded slightly and walked away first.
Although Shaocheng Hospital is still noisy with patients coming and going late at night, there is always a quiet place compared to the daytime.
For example, the ginkgo forest behind the inpatient building.
The street lights outside the woods cast a hazy warm light, and from a distance, the scattered light can vaguely illuminate the young man on the bench.
Xiao Zhier felt uncomfortable in his stomach again. He raised his hand and pressed his stomach gently, then turned his body a little to avoid showing any strange expression.
He looked at Chi Yuze and frowned: "Boss Chi, I thought I had made it very clear that I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore."
A sharp light quickly flowed through Chi Yuze's eyes, but he concealed it very well. The way he looked at Xiao Zhier was still the same as that of the frank and enthusiastic young man back then.
Chi Yuze half-knelt down in front of Xiao Zhier. He lowered his position, looked up at Xiao Zhier, and his voice was deliberately adjusted to be soft and harmless: "Did I do something wrong? I didn't mean to disturb Brother Xiao today, but you were alone there, and I couldn't bear to see you so lonely."
He has always been the one who would show weakness. Since his student days, Chi Yuze has already mastered this skill to perfection, and now after a few years, he has become even more proficient.
But the problem is that Xiao Zhier doesn't want to fall for it anymore.
Xiao Zhier only felt a dull pain in his stomach. He couldn't help feeling a little irritated, and he no longer had the patience to deal with Chi Yuze.
Xiao Zhier said in a cold voice: "You know clearly that I am not talking about just today's incident. I will not beat around the bush with you. Mr. Chi, you must remember one thing. It is impossible for me to accept you again."
The smile on Chi Yuze's face froze slightly. He could hardly maintain his expression. The man raised his hand and pressed it on Xiao Zhier's knee. His voice couldn't help but get a little louder: "Why? Just because of Xu Ze?"
Xiao Zhier's face turned cold: "This is a matter between you and me, don't drag other people into it."
Chi Yuze's eyes were cold. He stood up and looked down at Xiao Zhier condescendingly: "I heard about you and him. Just because of that kid from the Xu family, you want to distance yourself from me, and now you want to protect him!"
"I don't want to quarrel with you, Chi Yuze." Xiao Zhi'er also stood up. He was not affected by Chi Yuze's emotions at all. He still looked calm. "Since you went abroad, there will be no more intersections between the two of us."
Seeing Chi Yuze's stunned expression, Xiao Zhier said calmly, "Rumors are everywhere in school, saying all kinds of things. Although I don't care about these people's opinions, I will get annoyed if there are too many mosquitoes."
Chi Yuze frowned: "I have never instructed anyone to spread rumors."
Xiao Zhier sneered: "I no longer care whether someone did something behind the scenes or it was just an accident. But no matter what, my troubles are because of you, so please stay away from me in the future, I am really fed up with it."
He didn't want to waste any more time, and thought he had made it clear enough. Xiao Zhier suppressed his emotions, looked at Chi Yuze and shook his head: "Forget it, don't bother me, it's good for everyone."
"I don't agree."
Chi Yuze's voice was low, as if he was trying hard to suppress some emotion. He grabbed Xiao Zhier's wrist and pulled him towards him, his eyes slightly red: "I don't agree!"
Xiao Zhier was pulled by Chi Yuze, his feet swayed, and he lost his balance and fell into Chi Yuze's arms. Chi Yuze tightened his arms and his hot breath fell on Xiao Zhier's ears.
He was like a wild beast that had lost its mind. He pushed Xiao Zhier to the bench beside him and held Xiao Zhier's arm tightly with his hand: "You can't do this to me..."
Xiao Zhier frowned. His arm had just grown back, and when Chi Yuze grabbed it so tightly, he suddenly felt a pain: "Chi Yuze, I warn you, you'd better let me go."
