Chapter 31 Incarnation "Sorry, sorry, but you bit me before too..."

When she spoke, she realized that her voice was so hoarse that she could hardly recognize herself.
She lifted Xiao Hai's hand and noticed a deep cut on his wrist, which looked like it had been slashed by a sharp object.
"How could this happen?" Xiao Jiang muttered to himself.
"They're just minor injuries, nothing serious."
The phrase suddenly flashed through Xiao Jiang's mind. She was startled for a moment before realizing that it was Xiao Hai's telepathic message, a unique way of communicating between the two of them.
The merman's words were not meant to comfort her, but rather because these external injuries were nothing to him now that his spiritual power had mostly recovered. It was the strange reactions in his body that left him bewildered.
The unexplained, persistent fever, the instability of her mermaid form, and the uncontrollable trembling of her body the moment she touched his fishtail...
He had a vague suspicion in his mind, but there was no one like him to help him confirm it.
Xiao Jiang said worriedly, "How can it be a minor injury? It's a bloody mess. If it's not treated properly, the scar will stay for life."
