As Ye Ling stepped into the room, a chill instantly enveloped her whole body.
Sindra's eyes, as sharp as blades, were fixed on her, as if she could see through her.
The air was filled with a suffocating atmosphere.
"Tsk, this old woman, her eyes are like knives, who is she trying to scare?" Ye Ling complained silently in her heart, but her body tensed up uncontrollably.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm her anxiety.
Thinking back on how she had overcome all the obstacles along the way, from being a good-for-nothing who was laughed at by others, she couldn't fall down here!
She clenched her fists so tightly that her nails almost dug into her flesh.
"Hmph, just a little trick!" Ye Ling raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a disdainful smile.
A sneer appeared on Sindra's lips. With a flip of her wrist, a huge light screen was projected in the air. It was covered with densely packed spider-web-like lines, and each node was flashing with a faint light. It was the development map of interstellar civilization!
Anyone with trypophobia would die on the spot after seeing this thing.
"I'll give you ten minutes to find three key nodes and explain their impact on the development of interstellar civilization." Sindra's voice was icy cold, as if it came from an extremely cold place.
Ye Ling was stunned when she saw the vein diagram that looked like a heavenly book.
this……
This is not something that humans can understand at all, right?
Her brows were tightly furrowed, beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and anxiety grew in her heart like vines.
This isn't an exam at all, it's hellish difficulty!
Sindra crossed her arms and looked at Ye Ling coldly, with a mocking expression that said, "You can't do it!" on her face, as if to say, "That's it? That's it? I thought you were so amazing!"
The atmosphere in the room seemed to be frozen, so tense that it was hard to breathe.
Ye Ling quickly scanned the complex light screen in front of her, her brain working rapidly, trying to find a possibility of breaking the deadlock.
As time passed, her heart became more and more anxious.
"No! Don't panic!" She gritted her teeth, trying to calm herself down and forcing herself to observe every detail carefully.
However, as time passed, Ye Ling still had no idea.
Time passed by minute by minute, as if the slow motion button was pressed.
Ye Ling felt like she was trapped in a huge maze made up of countless lines. Every node was flashing with mocking light, as if silently laughing at her incompetence.
It was eerily quiet around me. The only sound I could hear was the "thump, thump, thump" of my own heartbeat, each beat getting faster and louder than the last, like a death knell.
This silence, like an invisible pressure, made her breathless.
Fine beads of sweat began to seep out of her palms, feeling sticky. The panic in her heart was like a wild horse that had broken free from its reins, running wild and growing uncontrollably.
"Damn! Does this old witch want to kill me?" Ye Ling cursed in her heart, feeling like a little white rabbit thrown into a wolf's den, helpless and desperate.
She quickly scanned the complex light screen in front of her. The dense lines were like countless ants crawling in front of her eyes, making her dizzy.
She felt like a drowning person, desperately trying to grab a life-saving straw, but found nothing around her.
Suddenly, a light bulb went off in her mind, like a flash of lightning in the darkness, illuminating the way forward.
She recalled a description of the development model of interstellar civilization that she had read in an ancient book. The pattern recorded in the book was surprisingly similar to the vein diagram in front of her!
She quickly cleared her mind of distractions, concentrated her attention, and began to quickly mark the details on the vein diagram according to her memory.
Sindra originally wanted to watch the show and watched Ye Ling's embarrassment with cold eyes, but she didn't expect that she could get into the state so quickly.
She saw Ye Ling's fingertips sliding across the light curtain, and each node was marked accurately, and a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes.
She narrowed her eyes slightly, put away her previous sarcastic expression, and became serious.
Ye Ling sensed the change in Sindra's eyes and was secretly delighted.
She knew that she had found the right direction.
The tension in my heart gradually dissipated, replaced by full confidence.
She felt like a gaming expert who had found the hidden secrets to a level and was about to turn the tide.
The atmosphere in the room also became tense and exciting, like the calm before the storm, ready to break out.
She took a deep breath, and her fingertips jumped rapidly on the light curtain, like a nimble elf, shuttling between the intricate lines. Under her markings, those originally chaotic nodes seemed to be given new life and began to emit dazzling light.
"Sure enough, there is something here..." Sindra muttered to herself as she watched Ye Ling's operation, with a hint of imperceptible appreciation in her tone, but more of it was curiosity about the subsequent developments.
Ye Ling did not notice the change in Sindra's expression. She was completely immersed in her own world. Her fingers moved faster and faster, as if she was fighting a silent battle. She could feel her heart beating violently, her blood boiling, and every cell clamoring with excitement.
At this moment, Ye Ling's fingertips stopped. She had successfully marked three key nodes.
She raised her head and looked at Sindra, her eyes full of determination and confidence.
"I..." She was about to speak, but Sindra raised her hand to stop her.
Sindra had a playful smile on her face and looked at her meaningfully, then slowly turned around and walked towards the door.
