As night falls, the starship slowly enters the orbit of a planet shrouded in shadow.
Outside the porthole, a huge planet looked like a dormant giant beast, emitting a heart-pounding dark aura.
Ye Ling stood on the bridge, gazing at the mysterious planet through the huge observation window.
A gloomy atmosphere was overwhelming, and the air was filled with a smell of decay and unknown, which made people feel creepy.
"This place feels eerie, like a scene from a horror movie." Ye Ling couldn't help but mutter under her breath, her body instinctively tensing up like a fully drawn bowstring.
The starship slowly landed on a rugged, rocky area.
The hatch opened and members of the exploration team filed out.
The air was filled with a strong smell of sulfur, mixed with an unknown odor of decay, making people feel suffocated.
Ye Ling took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, but her heartbeat accelerated unconsciously, as deafening as a drum.
"Is there some 'dirty stuff' in this damn place?" Team member Xiao Liu couldn't help but complain, his voice trembling.
Duan Yu stood beside Ye Ling and felt her slight nervousness. He reached out and patted her shoulder gently, signaling her to relax with his eyes.
Ye Ling looked at him gratefully, and a warm feeling surged in her heart.
With him by my side, it was as if all my fears were banished.
The exploration team advanced cautiously. The ground was bumpy and rocky. From time to time, they could hear some strange low humming sounds, like whispers from the depths of hell, which made people shudder.
The sky above was covered by thick clouds, without a trace of light, as if the whole world was swallowed by darkness.
"This terrain is simply 'hell difficulty'!" Kassa complained while carefully avoiding the potholes on the ground.
The exploration equipment also malfunctioned frequently, with garbled characters flashing on the screen and emitting harsh noises.
The team members anxiously tried to repair it, but to no avail.
Time passed by minute by minute, a depressing atmosphere enveloped the entire team, and everyone's face was filled with anxiety.
"What a crappy device! It breaks down at the critical moment!" A team member pounded the instrument in his hand hard and roared in anger.
Ye Ling looked at the maze-like terrain in front of her, and the feeling of uneasiness in her heart became stronger and stronger.
"This planet is definitely not that simple." She thought to herself, tightening her grip on the energy gun.
Suddenly, she seemed to feel something under her feet, and there was a strange vibration from the ground...
Ye Ling looked down and saw Kassa also staring at the ground with her mouth wide open, as if she wanted to say something.
"Ye Ling..." Kasa just said these two words and immediately closed her mouth, her face full of horror.
Ye Ling's gaze moved down along Kassa's terrified eyes, and saw that the originally flat ground suddenly cracked into a crack, like the gaping mouth of a monster, which was chilling.
Before she could react, a powerful force gushed out from the ground, and the unsuspecting team member Xiao Liu was instantly knocked away. Like a kite with a broken string, he crashed heavily into a rock not far away, making a dull loud noise.
"Xiao Liu!" Ye Ling exclaimed, her heart skipped a beat. She rushed towards Xiao Liu, but saw him spitting blood, his face as pale as paper, and he was already unconscious.
The air was filled with a strong smell of blood, which mixed with the surrounding odor of decay, making it even more disgusting.
"What the hell is this place? It even has traps!" Ye Ling exclaimed inwardly, "Holy shit!" A strong sense of crisis instantly surged into his heart.
She quickly checked Xiao Liu's injuries and found that he was still breathing, but needed immediate medical treatment.
However, before Ye Ling could recover from the shock, the ground around him began to shake violently, making a rumbling sound, like the roar of an ancient beast.
Immediately afterwards, countless dark shadows crawled out from the cracks in the ground, emitting sharp roars, piercing the silence of the planet.
These mysterious creatures look like lizards, but are extremely large in size. They are covered with hard black scales, and their sharp teeth and claws flash a chilling cold light in the dim environment. It is obvious that they are not to be trifled with.
"Damn, what the hell is this?" Kassadin exclaimed, aiming the energy gun in his hand at the monsters.
"Prepare for battle!" Duan Yu's voice was low and calm. He immediately stood in front of Ye Ling, a faint energy glow emanated from his body, and he entered combat state.
"You've come just in time. Today I'll let you know why the flowers are so red!" Ye Ling instantly summoned her mecha. The silver-white mecha emitted a cold luster in the gloomy environment, like a sharp sword in the darkness.
She quickly entered the cockpit and flexibly controlled the mecha, with the energy gun in her hand already ready to fire.
"Bang!" The energy beam cut through the sky and accurately hit a monster's head, but the monster just shook its head, and a trace of black appeared on its scales, but it did not suffer fatal damage.
"Oh my god, this defense is too abnormal!" Ye Ling complained inwardly. The defense capabilities of these monsters obviously exceeded her expectations.
The battle broke out instantly, and the energy beams and the roars of the monsters intertwined, deafening.
Ye Ling controlled the mecha to shuttle through the group of monsters. Every attack was accompanied by sparks and explosions, but these monsters were like chickens with their blood pumped up, and their attacks became more and more fierce.
