Ye Ling, Duan Yu and Rekton stepped into the mysterious passage cautiously.
The light in the passage was dim, and you couldn't see your hand in front of you. Only the faint light coming in from the entrance could barely illuminate the few steps ahead.
The passage was silent, and only the light breathing and footsteps of the three people could be heard. This eerie silence added a sense of tension.
There was a strange energy fluctuation in the air, which became stronger and stronger, as if warning them: There is danger ahead!
Ye Ling clenched her fists, her palms sweating slightly.
This uneasy feeling reminded her of a popular internet phrase: "I feel a chill on my back." She took a deep breath and tried to keep herself calm.
Duan Yuze walked silently beside her, always alert to the movements around him, ready to protect her at any time.
Renekton was the last one to leave, his huge body like a small mountain, giving people a sense of security.
The passage is not smooth sailing.
Various mechanisms and traps are hidden in the darkness and can be triggered if you are not careful.
Some of the seemingly ordinary stone slabs on the ground are actually pressure-sensitive plates, which will trigger hidden weapons once stepped on; some of the seemingly flat stones on the walls are actually disguised laser launchers, which will emit deadly energy beams once you get close.
"Everyone, be careful. There are traps everywhere in this place." Ye Ling reminded in a low voice.
As soon as he finished speaking, he heard a light "click".
Renekton accidentally stepped on a mechanism, and a dazzling beam of energy shot out from the wall and headed straight for him.
"Be careful!" Ye Ling was quick-eyed and quick-handed, pulling Renekton aside.
The energy beam brushed past Renekton's shoulder and left a charred mark on the ground.
"That was a close call!" Renekton was still in shock and had cold sweat on his back.
"This mechanism is too insidious!" He couldn't help but complain, "It's simply impossible to guard against it!"
Ye Ling didn't say anything, but just looked around more vigilantly.
The atmosphere in the passage became even more oppressive, as if an invisible hand had strangled their throats, making it difficult for them to breathe.
Suddenly, Duan Yu stopped and looked ahead with a serious look.
"There seems to be something in front..." he whispered.
Ye Ling and the other two continued to walk deeper into the passage. Strange lights flickered on the walls on both sides of the passage, as if countless pairs of eyes were spying on them.
After walking about a hundred meters, the road ahead suddenly opened up, but they saw a huge energy gate across the middle of the passage, blocking their way.
This energy gate exudes a faint blue light throughout, with complex energy patterns flowing on its surface. It looks like a sleeping giant beast, emitting a suffocating sense of oppression.
Ye Ling reached out and touched the energy gate, and felt a tingling sensation at her fingertips, like an electric shock.
"How do I open this thing?" Ye Ling frowned, the anxiety in her heart growing like weeds.
"Let me take a look." Duan Yu also stepped forward to check. His slender fingers gently brushed across the energy gate, but there was no response.
Renekton went straight to the point and tried to shake the energy gate with brute force, but of course it didn't move at all. Instead, he was shaken back a few steps and touched his nose in embarrassment.
"This thing is pretty hard."
Time passed minute by minute, but the three of them made no progress, and the atmosphere was as tense as a fully drawn bowstring.
Ye Ling was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. She kept recalling the teachings of mentor Jax in her mind, trying to find clues to open the energy gate.
"Wait!" Ye Ling suddenly had a flash of inspiration and remembered an ancient rune that Jax had mentioned, which seemed to be somewhat similar to the energy gate in front of her.
"Let me try this!"
Ye Ling took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and tried hard to recall the shape and stroke order of the runes described by Mentor Jax.
She stretched out her trembling fingers, mobilized the energy in her body, and slowly carved on the energy gate.
As the last rune was completed, the energy gate suddenly emitted a low roar, and the dark blue light suddenly became brighter. Complex energy patterns began to rotate and flow, and finally slowly opened to both sides, revealing a pitch-black hole.
"Holy crap, that's awesome!" Renekton exclaimed, looking at Ye Ling with admiration, "She's worthy of being my goddess!"
Duan Yu's mouth corners also rose slightly, his eyes full of pampering and pride.
Ye Ling raised her chin proudly, "Basic exercises, no 6."
Just as the three were about to enter the cave, a cold wind blew in from the depths of the cave, bringing with it a creepy breath.
"Wait..." Ye Ling suddenly felt a palpitation, and an ominous premonition came to her mind.
"There seems to be something inside..."
A cold wind carrying a fishy smell whistled out from the depths of the cave, making the robes of the three people rustle.
Immediately afterwards, a low roar was heard, as if the evil spirits from hell were roaring.
"What the hell is this?" Renekton couldn't help but swear, with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
I saw a group of dark creatures pouring out of the cave. They were huge, more than three meters tall, covered with black scales, with sharp horns on their heads, bloodthirsty light flashing in their eyes, and waving huge sickles in their hands, like the god of death.
"What the hell am I afraid of!" Ye Ling growled and rushed forward first, his figure as fast as an arrow.
"Just do it!"
She quickly activated the mecha, which instantly covered her entire body, emitting a dazzling golden light.
The energy cannons on the mecha's arms roared, and beams of energy accurately bombarded the dark creatures, blowing them into pieces.
