Chapter 260 Equipment Crisis: Twists and Turns of the Mecha Show

"Who did it?" Graves' voice trembled with a hint of incredible despair.

Ye Ling's heart sank, and a chill ran from the soles of her feet to the top of her head.

She walked quickly to the equipment and carefully examined the damaged sound equipment.

The wires were maliciously cut, the interfaces were violently destroyed, and even the control panel was smashed to pieces, as if it had been ravaged by an angry beast. The air was filled with a burnt smell.

"Tsk tsk tsk, this is really 'wonderful'." A sarcastic voice came, and Ye Ling knew it was Fiona without turning around.

She folded her arms across her chest, leaning against the doorway with a gloating smile on her face. "It seems some people are destined to become the biggest joke of the year." Ye Ling clenched her fists, her nails digging deeply into her palms, trying hard to restrain the urge to beat someone up.

"You did it?" Ye Ling's voice was cold, as if it was squeezed out from between her teeth.

Fiona scoffed and rolled her eyes in disdain. "Where's the evidence? Do you have any evidence? You can eat whatever you want, but you can't say whatever you want. Be careful or I'll sue you for defamation."

Ye Ling took a deep breath and told herself to stay calm.

Now is not the time to argue with her, the most urgent thing is to repair the equipment.

She turned to look at Graves, her tone anxious: "Mr. Graves, can you fix it?"

Graves sighed helplessly, rubbed his greasy hands, his eyes flickering, "Ms. Ye Ling, it's not that I don't want to help you, but..." He lowered his voice and leaned close to Ye Ling's ear, "I've been warned that if I help you repair the equipment, I will lose this job."

"Who is threatening you?" Ye Ling felt a surge of anger in her heart. It was obvious that someone was deliberately trying to ruin her performance.

Graves shook his head, not daring to say anything more, but just kept repeating "I can't say, I can't say".

Ye Ling's heart sank, and a feeling of despair spread.

Is she really going to give up this performance?

No, she will never give up!

"Mr. Graves," Ye Ling's voice was firm and powerful. "I know you are an excellent engineer." She paused, staring at Graves with burning eyes. "Just tell me what materials you need, and I'll find a way."

Graves looked at Ye Ling's determined eyes and was deeply touched.

He hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded, took out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket, and handed it to Ye Ling. "These are the necessary materials, but..." He shook his head. "Time is too short, it's simply too late."

Ye Ling took the note, glanced at it quickly, and a confident smile appeared on her lips. "There's still time." She turned and left the equipment room, leaving behind only a determined back and a meaningful words: "Wait for me." Ye Ling left the equipment room. As soon as she walked out, she heard Fiona's signature sarcastic laughter coming from the corridor, like a noisy crow repeating over and over again: "Oh my, some people, they're already scared before the performance even starts. They want to be turtles just because the equipment is broken?"

The people around were whispering, pointing, and looking at Ye Ling as if she were a monkey show.

Those harsh comments were like needles piercing Ye Ling's heart, making her feel extremely wronged.

"Huh, I thought she was some genius girl, but it turns out she's just a paper tiger."

"That's right, you can't even get the equipment fixed, and you still want to perform? Dream on!"

Ye Ling gritted her teeth so tightly that her nails almost dug into her flesh.

She took a deep breath, trying to suppress the anger, grievance and despair that were surging in her heart. The emotions were like a tide, and the pressure around her seemed to swallow her up.

However, a voice rang out in her heart: "Can't give up! Never admit defeat!"

Ye Ling closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and the pattern of the ancient mecha core emerged in her mind.

The core slowly rotated within her body, emitting a warm glow, and traces of special energy fluctuations flowed through her limbs and bones.

Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind and a bold idea came to her mind.

Ye Ling ignored the mocking voices around her. She hurried back to the equipment room, startling Graves.

"Ms. Ye Ling, why...why are you back again? Where are the materials?" Graves looked at Ye Ling's empty hands, his face full of confusion.

"Let's put the materials aside for now." Ye Ling raised a mysterious smile. She walked to the damaged sound equipment, stretched out her hand, and faced the broken wires with her palm.

A strange light flashed in her eyes, and a faint trace of energy was released from her hands.

These energies were like elves, carefully touching the broken wires and emitting a faint buzzing sound, as if repairing the damaged nerves.

Graves stared at all this in amazement, his mouth open so wide that an egg could almost fit in it.

He rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating.

this……

It's simply incredible!

"What...what is this? Is it magic?" He couldn't help but exclaim.

Ye Ling did not answer. She concentrated on guiding the energy in her body, making it fluctuate at a certain frequency. She could vaguely feel that these fluctuations were somewhat similar to the core energy waves she had felt during the mecha training before.

"It worked!" Ye Ling was delighted. She picked up a makeshift microphone and tried to make a simple note.

"Ding--" A crisp note came out from the microphone. Although there was some noise, it was extremely clear and echoed in the empty equipment room.
