Ye Ling rushed to the judges' office, pushed the door open, and said in a hurried tone, "Judge Karma, I want to know why you changed the judging criteria at the last minute? This is very unfair to the other contestants!"
Karma, a tall, gorgeously dressed woman, was leisurely sipping the champagne in her hand. When she heard Ye Ling's voice, she slowly put down her glass, a playful smile on her lips: "Fairness? Little girl, there is no such thing as absolute fairness in this world. As a judge, I have the right to adjust the judging criteria according to the actual situation." She deliberately prolonged the ending tone, with a hint of contempt in her eyes.
"But this is too..." Ye Ling wanted to argue, but was interrupted by a sharp voice.
"Hey, isn't this our big loser Ye Ling? How dare you question the judges' decision? Who do you think you are?" The speaker was Sarah, with her arms folded in front of her chest, looking at Ye Ling with a mocking expression.
"Sarah, you have no right to speak here!" Ye Ling suppressed the anger in her heart and glared at Sarah coldly.
"What's wrong? Are you pissed off because I hit you right on the head?" Sarah continued to challenge him. "With that lousy mech of yours, you still want to perform at the Interstellar Music Competition? That's hilarious! Don't you even consider your own limitations?"
Ye Ling took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. She knew that Sarah was deliberately looking for trouble, and if she continued to argue with her, it would only be a waste of time.
"Sarah, if you have nothing to do, go practice with your mecha and don't waste my time here!"
Ye Ling no longer paid attention to Sarah and turned to look at Karma again. "Judge Karma, I hope you can give me a reasonable explanation."
Karma put down his glass, stood up, and walked over to Ye Ling. He looked down at her with a cold tone, "Explanation? What explanation do you want? I changed the judging criteria temporarily, and I have my reasons. As a contestant, what qualifications do you have to question me?"
Ye Ling felt like she had punched cotton, feeling powerless and aggrieved.
The atmosphere in the judges' office was tense and oppressive, as if the air had frozen.
Sarah's laughter and Karma's contemptuous look were like sharp thorns, piercing Ye Ling's heart.
She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging deep into her palms, trying hard to control her emotions that were about to explode.
After coming out of the judges' office, Ye Ling walked straight to the competition venue.
She needs to vent and needs a stage to prove herself!
Sarah's voice rang out again, piercingly. "Everyone, come and see! This is Ye Ling, the overconfident woman who dreamed of competing in the Interstellar Music Competition in a shabby mecha!" She pointed at Ye Ling and sneered, "With her level, she's not even worthy of carrying my shoes!"
Ye Ling turned around abruptly, staring at Sarah with a sharp gaze, "Sarah, what on earth do you want to do?"
Sarah sneered, "What do I want to do? I just want everyone to see how ridiculous you are! The Interstellar Music Competition is not a place for losers like you!"
"Who are you calling a waste?!" Ye Ling couldn't bear it anymore and roared.
The people around stopped and watched the sudden quarrel curiously.
Sarah crossed her arms, a look of disdain on her face. "Whoever answers gets to be the winner!"
Ye Ling sneered, "Sarah, you'd better pray that my performance will not disappoint you, otherwise..."
"What else?" Sarah looked at Ye Ling provocatively.
Ye Ling did not answer, but just smiled coldly and turned to walk to the center of the stage.
The lights focused on her, dazzling her.
She took a deep breath, looked forward with a determined gaze, and slowly raised the microphone in her hand. "Next, please enjoy my performance - 'Star Wars Song'!"
Ye Ling felt as if a huge rock was pressing on her chest. The request that Karma made at the last minute was simply "hell mode"!
What about "the perfect fusion of mecha and music must reflect the sense of chaos during the Big Bang" and "the movements of mecha must show the unpredictability of quantum entanglement"? Isn't this obviously making things difficult for people?
All the performance plans she had prepared before were scrapped. She felt as if the system had forced the cache to be cleared, leaving only a blank.
The feeling of loss surged like a tide, and the air around seemed to be stagnant.
Even the usually chattering crowd quieted down, looking at Ye Ling with "you know what I mean" eyes, with a hint of "as expected" in their sympathy.
Even Duan Yu frowned slightly. Although he believed in Ye Ling's strength, Karma's actions were too confusing. It was a textbook-level "face-changing".
Ye Ling took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.
Instead of being depressed, it is better to think about how to break the situation.
She began to frantically search through Karma's past judgment records, trying to find a clue.
You won’t know until you see it, and you’ll be shocked when you see it. It turns out that Kalma is a “hidden literary youth”!
Behind those seemingly harsh comments is actually the ultimate pursuit of emotional expression.
What she wants is not showmanship, but soul resonance!
"I got it!" A light bulb went off in Ye Ling's head, and he immediately had an idea.
She decisively abandoned the original complex movement design and instead focused on the integration of music and emotion.
She wants to make mechas no longer cold machines, but dancers full of emotions!
When Ye Ling stepped onto the stage again, the whole audience held their breath.
The music started, and the melodious melody carried a hint of sadness, like the sigh of the newborn universe.
Ye Ling's mecha danced slowly to the music, and every movement was full of strength and tenderness, as if telling an ancient story.
