The lights in the training room were like a disco scene, flickering and dazzling Ye Ling.
She looked up at the giant steel beast in front of her, feeling both excited and nervous. This was her first time to undergo mecha telepathy training!
This thing looks like a Transformer. If it could communicate with others telepathically, wouldn't it be able to take off on the spot and reach the peak of its life?
Taking a deep breath, Ye Ling closed her eyes and tried to calm her mind.
The air around her seemed to freeze, making it hard for her to breathe.
She tried to connect her consciousness to the mecha, but her mind was like a barrage of thoughts, with all kinds of random thoughts flying around: What should I eat for lunch today?
Why hasn’t Duan Yu come yet?
Also, where is the interstellar pirate lair that Ike mentioned?
This is more stressful than the college entrance examination!
"Ah——!" Ye Ling roared in her heart, feeling like she was playing an extremely difficult jigsaw puzzle game, with each piece running faster than a rabbit.
The more she tried to concentrate, the more her mind became a mess.
The voices that once mocked her as a waste echoed in her ears like a devil's voice.
She felt sweat starting to form on her forehead, and her body felt like it was wrapped in plastic wrap, making her feel stuffy.
All the equipment in the training room seemed to have turned into huge shackles, making it hard for her to breathe.
She knew that lack of mental strength was her biggest weakness at the moment and she had to overcome it!
But this feeling is just like constipation, I can't exert any strength.
She began to tell herself frantically: I can do it!
I am the woman who will become the mecha queen!
Who isn’t a little fairy?
She kept trying to concentrate, but found that the harder she tried, the more anxious she became, as if she was stuck in a vicious circle.
"This feeling... is even more uncomfortable than squatting on the toilet without toilet paper!" She couldn't help but complain, but the next second, she suddenly opened her eyes.
"Hey, isn't this our Miss Ye? Are you playing house with your 'little cutie' again?" Jie's annoying voice was like an icicle, piercing Ye Ling's eardrum.
He leaned against the door of the training room, his arms folded across his chest, a playful smile on his face, his eyes looking as if he was looking at a clown jumping up and down.
He was followed by a few lackeys, who would sneer maliciously from time to time, like a group of noisy flies, buzzing around and making people feel annoyed.
Ye Ling felt her cheeks turn red instantly, as if she had been stripped naked in public.
The air around her seemed to freeze, and an invisible pressure made it hard for her to breathe.
She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging deep into her flesh, but she felt no pain at all.
She looked up at Jie. The mocking expression on his face was like a thorn, piercing the most vulnerable part of her self-esteem.
She felt like she was thrown into an ice cellar, cold from head to toe.
"I say, Miss Ye, this mecha isn't a toy from your backyard. You can't just tinker with it and expect it to communicate with you," Jie continued sarcastically. "I think you should give up on it before it's too late, lest you waste resources and embarrass yourself. Tsk tsk, what a waste of affection!"
Ye Ling felt as if a ball of anger was burning in her chest. She clenched her teeth and tried hard not to let her tears flow.
She knew Zed was deliberately trying to provoke her and make her give up.
But she just wouldn't let him have his wish!
At this moment, a slightly crisp voice broke the tense atmosphere.
"Jie, could you please not be so harsh in your words? Ye Ling is just training!" Akali hurriedly squeezed out of the crowd, holding an ancient book that looked quite old in her hand.
She walked quickly to Ye Ling's side, a hint of worry on her face, but more of encouragement. "Ye Ling, ignore him. He's just jealous that you're prettier than him! I have a manual on spiritual cultivation passed down by my grandfather. It might be helpful to you."
Akali stuffed the secret book into Ye Ling's hand. It was an ancient-looking book with yellowed paper and some ancient characters written in a flamboyant style on the cover.
Ye Ling looked at the secret book, and suddenly a hope surged in her heart.
She looked up at Akali, who was smiling softly at her.
This sincere concern, like a ray of sunshine, dispelled the haze in her heart.
Zed clearly hadn't expected Akali to act like this. He was stunned for a moment, then sneered, "Tsk, what a piece of junk! I bet you picked it up from some street stall? You're desperate and trying anything you can think of." He glanced at the manual and said disdainfully, "But since someone is so kind, I'll wait and see you make a fool of yourself. I want to see how much progress you can make by relying on a crappy book!"
After saying this, Jie snorted coldly and walked away with his lackeys.
The atmosphere in the training room seemed to relax a little with Akali's arrival.
Ye Ling looked down at the secret book in her hand. The ancient words on the cover seemed to emit a faint light in her eyes.
She took a deep breath and turned to the first page...
Ye Ling carefully opened the ancient book given to her by Akali, and a faint scent of sandalwood wafted to her face, like the whisper of ancient wisdom.
The pages of the book were yellowed and covered with strange symbols, which looked like tadpole script or ghost paintings, making Ye Ling dizzy.
However, in the corners of the pages, she found some notes in modern text that explained the meaning and use of these symbols.
Following the instructions in the secret book, Ye Ling sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and tried to clear his mind.
She followed the breathing method described in the book, breathing in and out, and felt a warm current flowing slowly in her body, like hot spring water, nourishing every nerve of hers.
