The energy source is so close, yet it feels like being trapped in an iron barrel.
Ye Ling stared at the defensive devices that were flashing with a faint blue light. They were like dormant steel beasts, emitting a heart-pounding pressure.
These devices have strange shapes. Some look like giant crabs with bared fangs and claws, some look like coiled poisonous snakes, and some look like floating ghosts, flickering and unpredictable.
There was a strange metallic smell in the air, mixed with the strange fragrance emitted by the energy source, which made Ye Ling feel a tingling sensation on his scalp.
"How do I use this thing?" she muttered to herself, her fingers tapping unconsciously on the mecha's operating panel.
Duan Yu's injury was like a huge rock pressing on her heart, making it impossible for her to fully concentrate.
Just as Ye Ling was racking her brains to think of a solution, a frivolous voice rang in her ear: "Hey, isn't this the useless Ye Ling? What's wrong? Are you stuck here?"
Ye Ling turned around abruptly and saw Evelin standing at the entrance of the passage with a mocking smile on her face.
A surge of anger instantly surged into Ye Ling's heart: "What does this have to do with you? Go cool down!"
"Don't be so angry," Evelin walked over slowly. "I see you've been thinking about it for a long time. Why don't we work together?"
Ye Ling sneered: "Cooperation? You? Are you so kind?"
Evelyn shrugged. "Of course. I don't want to waste my time on a loser like you. How about this: we break through these defenses together and split the energy source equally?"
Although Ye Ling was full of doubts, she had no better solution at the moment.
She took a deep breath and nodded: "Okay, as you say."
However, just as Ye Ling was about to act with Evelin, Evelin suddenly revealed a sinister smile: "Oh, I suddenly changed my mind. I think I'd better keep this energy source for myself."
"You!" Ye Ling was furious, feeling that she had been fooled.
Evelyn clapped her hands, and several small defense robots appeared from behind her, flashing with a cold metallic luster.
“Now, get out of the way, otherwise…” Evelin curled her lips into a sneer, “Don’t blame me for being rude!”
Ye Ling's eyes were cold, and she spoke word by word: "Evelin, you will regret it."
Ye Ling's eyes were stern, and a sneer appeared on the corner of her mouth: "You want to stop me with these broken copper and iron?" Before she finished speaking, she had already started the mecha. The silver-gray body made a deafening roar and rushed towards Evelin like a lightning.
"You're overestimating yourself!" Evelyn snorted coldly and controlled the small defense robot to rush forward.

Various energy weapons intertwined into a gorgeous light net in the narrow passage. The explosions came one after another, making the passage buzz.
Ye Ling's mecha shuttled freely among the intensive attacks, as agile as a nimble swallow.
She controlled the mecha, sometimes rolling to dodge, and sometimes wielding the energy sword in her hand to chop the attacking robots into pieces.
Each attack was precise and powerful, demonstrating her superb mecha control skills.
“Damn it!” Evelin’s face was gloomy. She didn’t expect Ye Ling to be so powerful.
She gritted her teeth and increased the intensity of her attack.
The number of small defensive robots increased, and their attacks became more and more fierce, surrounding Ye Ling.
Ye Ling felt the pressure, but she did not panic.
She took a deep breath, her eyes determined: "Want to trap me? Not that easy!" She activated the thrusters of the mecha, and the speed increased instantly. She shuttled between the robots like a silver lightning, dazzling people.
At this moment, Duan Yu suddenly let out a muffled groan.
Ye Ling's heart tightened and she turned around to see Duan Yu's face was pale with a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth.
The aftermath of the battle once again affected his injuries.
"Duan Yu!" Ye Ling was extremely anxious. Everything around her seemed to be urging her to end the battle as soon as possible.
Evelyn keenly caught Ye Ling's distraction. She seized the opportunity and controlled a robot to fire a high-energy laser cannon, directly hitting Ye Ling's mecha.
With a loud "boom", Ye Ling's mecha was hit, the fuselage vibrated violently, and the alarm lights on the control panel flashed wildly.
"Ye Ling!" Duan Yu shouted weakly.
Ye Ling gritted her teeth and tried hard to control the shaking mecha.
She knew that she could not fall down. She had to protect Duan Yu, break through the defense line and reach the energy source!
Evelin’s sneer echoed in the passage: “Ye Ling, you’re done!”
A cold light flashed in Ye Ling's eyes. She slowly raised her hand and placed it on the start button of the mecha core...
"The game has just begun!"
Ye Ling raised the corner of her mouth and revealed a contemptuous smile.
"That's it? It's not even enough to tickle me!" After saying that, the core of the ancient mecha started up, a powerful energy poured into the mecha, and the body of the mecha emitted a dazzling light.
With a "buzz", the speed of the mecha soared instantly, leaving a trail of afterimages in the passage.
Evelyn's defense robot was unable to capture Ye Ling's movements at all and could only passively take the beating.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" The explosions continued, and Ye Ling's mecha destroyed the robots one by one like cutting melons and vegetables.
Evelin’s expression became increasingly ugly, her eyes filled with fear.

At this moment, Duan Yu's weak voice came: "Ye Ling... be careful..." Ye Ling turned her head and looked. Duan Yu's face was pale, but his eyes were full of affection.
