Ye Ling held the trophy, the cool touch of the metal still lingering on her fingertips.
However, what was even worse than the coldness was the sudden burning heat in her heart.
The energy was like a restless beast, rampaging in her body, as if it wanted to break out.
"This feels... wrong!" Ye Ling murmured, frowning.
She could clearly feel that the energy came from the mysterious energy body in the center of the field that was regarded as "waste".

It was a dark night, and in the shadow of an abandoned factory, two figures approached quietly.
In the dim light, Ye Ling recognized Duan Yu's tall figure at a glance.
"Duan Yu, you're here." Ye Ling lowered her voice and walked quickly to him.
"I won't give up easily." Duan Yu's voice was low and firm, like a reassurance, soothing Ye Ling's uneasiness.
