Ye Ling stood at the edge of the interstellar fantasy beast habitat, gazing at the fog in front of her. Colorful halos flowed in it, like a legendary fairyland.
But she knew that beautiful appearance often hides deadly dangers.
She took a deep breath, and the air was filled with a strange fishy-sweet smell, mixed with the primitive breath of wild beasts, which made her alarm bells ring.
"High-energy warning ahead! This atmosphere is definitely that of a super-super-super (SSS) level copy!" Ye Ling complained silently in his heart.
She stepped carefully into the habitat, the soft moss under her feet emitting a faint fluorescent light.
The surroundings were eerily quiet, with only the occasional chirping of unknown insects and birds adding to the sense of mystery.
"This place is so eerie. Is a boss going to suddenly appear?" Ye Ling clenched the energy gun in his hand and remained alert at all times.
Suddenly, a huge figure rushed out from the fog and stood in front of Ye Ling.
It is the guardian of the mythical beasts - Renekton.
He was two meters tall, covered with hard scales, and wielding a huge battle axe in his hand. He looked majestic and murderous.
"Trespasser! Get out of here!" Renekton's voice was like a muffled thunder, making Ye Ling's eardrums buzz.
Ye Ling quickly raised her hands to indicate that she meant no harm.
"Big brother, don't get excited. I just want to study the mythical beasts here. I have absolutely no ill intentions!" But her words did not make Renekton put down his weapon. His eyes were still full of hostility, like a beast guarding its food, ready to attack at any time.
"This is not the place for you! Leave immediately, or you will suffer the consequences!"
Ye Ling sighed helplessly. It seemed that this Renekton was a stubborn guy and difficult to communicate with.
"Well, it seems that I can only use courtesy first and force later..." She thought to herself, but her eyes fell on the battle axe in Renekton's hand, on which a strange light was faintly flowing.
"This thing looks very powerful..." Ye Ling dodged and barely avoided Renekton's powerful blow.
She moved nimbly, like a nimble swallow, within the attack range of the giant axe.
"Wow, you're quite agile!" Renekton roared and swung his battle axe even faster. The strong wind he created whistled and scratched Ye Ling's cheek, causing it to hurt.
"Oh my god, this attack range is simply a humanoid self-propelled turret!" Ye Ling complained while observing the attack trajectory of Renekton.
She found that although Renekton was powerful, his attack method was a bit simple, and the charging time before each attack was long, which gave her a lot of room to dodge.
"It seems that this guy is a power-type player, and his agility is not very good!" Ye Ling had an idea in her mind. She began to deliberately guide the direction of Renekton's attack, making him miss again and again and waste his energy in vain.
Renekton's attacks became more and more impatient, and every time he missed, he became more angry. The ground trembled slightly, and the surrounding trees were blown to and fro by the strong wind.
While dodging the attack, several low growls came from deep in the habitat, attracting Ye Ling's attention.
She caught a glimpse of several mythical beasts of various shapes poking their heads out from the mist, curiously looking at the human who dared to challenge Renekton.
Their eyes flashed with strange light, and they seemed to be full of interest in Ye Ling.
"It seems that my performance has attracted the audience!" Ye Ling was secretly happy. She knew that she had to make a quick decision and not waste too much time here.
But she also felt a little hesitant. If she forced a breakthrough, it would probably anger these phantom beasts, and the situation would then become even more difficult to control.
As time passed, Ye Ling's strength began to decline and her breathing became rapid.
She frowned and struggled internally.

"Wait..." Ye Ling raised her head suddenly.

"666, it's done!" Ye Ling was secretly happy. Taking advantage of the moment when Renekton was distracted, she flashed and ran towards the depths of the habitat.
However, just when Ye Ling thought she was about to succeed, a creepy roar suddenly came from the depths of the habitat, deafening, as if it came from an ancient behemoth.
"Shit, what's going on?" Ye Ling's heart sank, and an ominous premonition came to his mind.
The surrounding fog began to roll, as if something was about to break out of the ground.
Ye Ling's heart beat faster and she felt like a little white rabbit that had strayed into a pack of wolves and could be devoured at any time.
"Duan Yu, where are you..." In the silent forest, Ye Ling's whisper was blown away by the wind. She thought of the missing Duan Yu, and her heart was filled with worry and longing.
The silence around her made her even more painful, and her eyes revealed deep despair.
Renekton quickly woke up from his confusion. He looked at Ye Ling's back and said, "Don't even think about escaping!" He roared, raised his battle axe again, and chased after Ye Ling.
Ye Ling looked back at Renekton and knew that he had to find a breakthrough as soon as possible, otherwise he would really die here.
She gritted her teeth, increased her speed, and ran towards the depths.
But Renekton was faster, like a raging beast, unstoppable.
At this moment, Ye Ling suddenly felt her feet go empty, she lost her balance and fell into a bottomless cave.
"Ah..." Ye Ling's scream echoed in the forest and stopped abruptly.
