Chapter 118 Student Council President (16) (1/2)

"That's what he told me this morning."

Yan Huaize pinched Jiang Jiang's knuckles in his hand, and complained in a voice that was neither light nor heavy, "I clearly missed you, but he scolded me. Isn't that too much?"

Jiang Jiang wore a champagne-colored mermaid dress today. The silk fabric shone with a pearl-like luster under the light.

The delicate embroidery on the hem of her skirt appeared and disappeared with her steps, outlining her slender waist.

She tied up her long hair, revealing her slender swan neck. The diamond earrings hanging on her earlobes swayed gently with her movements, casting fine light and shadows on the sides of her neck.

Her makeup was light, but it just highlighted her delicate features, especially her smiling eyes, which seemed to be filled with starlight.

Yan Huaize was lost in thought until Jiang Jiang waved her hand in front of his eyes: "Are you stunned?"

He finally came back to his senses, his Adam's apple rolled, "Yeah."

Jiang Jiang pursed her lips and smiled, and two small dimples appeared on her cheeks.

"You are good at choosing clothes. I like them very much. Thank you, boyfriend."

The two of them were sitting almost in the corner, but their contrasting looks still attracted a lot of people's attention.

Yan Huaize moved quietly and used her body to block those bold gazes directed at her.

He sneered in his heart, thinking that his grandfather probably never pursued anyone when he was young. The place where they arranged the meeting was like a dinner party. All around him were people drinking and chatting with each other, wearing false smiles and masks of interest.

From time to time, he looked at Jiang Jiang with a scrutinizing look, as if evaluating whether she was qualified to be in this circle.

Yan Huaize felt suffocated and ridiculous.

Why do they think that he needs their approval to like someone?

Yan Huaize turned his gaze to Jiang Jiang. She was staring at the transparent wine in the glass. It was unknown what she was thinking, and her face was still flushed from being slightly drunk.

I just told her to drink less, but she didn't listen. Now she looks drunk.

But perhaps he was also drunk, because Yan Huaize heard his own voice:

"Isn't it boring?"

Jiang Jiang was indeed a little drunk, and a simple sentence made her brain work for a while before she nodded blankly.

The man in formal attire in front of me was in the process of transitioning from a boy to a man. He had the handsome features of a boy and the calm temperament of a mature man.

The light reflected in his smiling eyes, and they sparkled like stars.

She heard him invite:

"Then let's run away."

Jiang Jiang: “?”

For a moment she thought she had misheard, but as she watched him stretch out his hand towards her, she felt that it wasn't strange for him to say such a thing given his personality.

So without hesitation, she placed her hand in his palm.

The next moment he grabbed her and pulled her up.

"Are you ready?"

His voice, with a smile on his face, passed by my ears like the wind.

The two of them moved in the opposite direction of the crowd. Jiang Jiang could even feel some people around him looking at him with puzzled eyes, as if they were wondering why the host of the banquet was walking in this direction.

"If I just leave, Grandpa Yan will be angry, right? Are you really okay?"
