Chapter 47 Double Rebirth (End) (2/2)

Jiang Yun was stunned for a moment, and then a bad premonition arose in her heart.

"...I know about your past life."

Jiang Yun felt cold all over: "Dad, what are you talking about? Yun'er doesn't understand."

Jiang Su ignored her pretense of stupidity and simply untied the purse containing banknotes tied around his waist and stuffed it into her hand. His voice was full of vicissitudes: "It's my fault. I shouldn't have forced you to marry, nor should I have neglected your education. It's Dad's fault. Go away, take the money and go far away."

He put enough money in it for Jiang Yun'an to live on for the rest of her life, and also arranged for some people to protect her along the way.

Jiang Yun shook her head desperately. She knew that her father must have known it. Although she didn't know who told him, the moment this secret buried deep in her heart was exposed, she was first panicked, but then relieved.

She choked up and said, "I should say sorry, Dad. I was stupid and was deceived by Lu Mingxuan in my previous life, which brought disaster to our family... But I will change. Please don't let me go."

Jiang Su looked at his daughter. He and his wife doted on the child. No matter what mistakes she made, they would admit it as long as she cried.

...That's why fate taught them a lesson.

When Jiang Su first heard about his experience in the previous life from the emperor, his first reaction was disbelief, but all the abnormalities that Jiang Yun showed after waking up that day told him that this was what she had done.

He had been angry and resentful, and even thought about ignoring his daughter from then on, but after the emperor told him his plan, he still chose to come here.

The road was bumpy and it took him a lot of effort to catch up with them.

During this time, he realized that it was not only his daughter's fault, he was also at fault, and he could not deny his mistakes just because he was also a victim.

But people are made of flesh and blood. How can they get over this by just thinking rationally when the daughter they loved for so many years caused the entire family to be executed in the previous life?

In the end, Jiang Yun left with the banknotes.

...the pain of losing my wealth and glory is not half as great as it is now.

Jiang Su looked at the land beneath his feet. This was the border of the capital. He never thought that he would see his daughter off here.

Looking at the other person's back that was getting smaller and smaller, Jiang Su turned his head away and finally shed tears.

From then on, we lost touch with each other, the spring mountains were as dark as ink and the grass was as smokey as smoke.

--

"Your Majesty." Ji Jin, dressed as a secret guard, repeated the conversation he had just heard. "Prime Minister Jiang also gave her the title deed to a Lingnan manor."

He didn't know about their important affairs, nor did he know the twists and turns involved. He just felt that the emperor's attitude was a little strange.

Lu Zheng paused with his pen in hand, then said, "Let him be. He must be feeling bad."

He also decided to let go of the past and regard the day he met Jiang Jiang as his new beginning.

As dusk fell, Lu Zheng stepped lightly into the bedroom.

There was only a dying red candle left on the gilded candlestick. In the warm yellow light, Jiang Jiang was leaning on the beauty couch and was already fast asleep. Sui'an was curled up in her arms, his little hand still clutching a strand of his mother's black hair.

Lu Zheng stopped and held his breath, even the rustling of his robes was reduced to a very low level.

He slowly squatted down, his fingertips hovering half an inch away from Jiang Jiang's nose, feeling her warm breath - such a living being made his heart tremble more than any treasure.

"Hmm..." Sui'an suddenly kicked his legs in his dream, and a corner of the quilt slipped off.

Lu Zheng hurriedly reached out to tuck the little guy in, but saw that the little guy unconsciously grabbed his thumb, and his soft palm was pressed against his crescent scar.

The candle flame popped, and Lu Zheng's eyes suddenly became wet.

He leaned over and embraced his wife and child, his lips lightly touching the top of Jiang Jiang's head: "I'm coming..." His voice melted into the darkening night, "...I'm coming home."

-----------Double finish---------

The next chapter is a short extra about Lu Zheng from the previous life traveling to this life. Don't miss it! (Actually, it should be about Lu Zheng who has lost most of his memories.) (I think it's quite exciting, hehe)

When I was writing this article, I was thinking about what ending to give Jiang Yun. I was quite afraid of being scolded (pointing fingers), but in the end I chose this ending.

My next story should be about a researcher stranded on an island and a super-possessive deep-sea hunter. I haven't decided on the plot yet, but I've got the general idea of the plot!
