Chapter 102 The Storm of Judgment Rises Again

After a successful evacuation, the group returned to their temporary base, covered in dust and grime. The air was thick with the smell of relief after the ordeal, along with a lingering stench of blood.

Dr. Li removed his blood-stained mask and shook his head gravely. "Tsk tsk, horrific! If Liu Yan hadn't been in good health, he would have been dead long ago. Now..." He paused, his tone heavy, "If we can't get an inhibitor within three days, not even a miracle can save him."

Lu Zhaoming slammed his fist against the wall, sending dust flying. "Damn it, I was too late!"

Suddenly, a familiar electronic voice rang in his mind, and a semi-transparent notification popped up on the system interface: "Host has triggered the hidden mission 'Reboot Judgment,' completion conditions unknown." Lu Zhaoming narrowed his eyes. This damn system, it messes up at the crucial moment, and even its mission assignment is cryptic?

He looked up at the sky in the distance, dyed red by the blood-red sunset, where thick smoke from the doomsday factory rose like a ferocious monster.

"It seems that what's meant to happen can't be avoided." Lu Zhaoming muttered to himself. He turned around and said to everyone, "Everyone, get ready, we need to go back."

Su Li grabbed him, her voice urgent: "Go back? Are you crazy! That place is a meat grinder!"

Lu Zhaoming patted her hand, his eyes firm: "Don't worry, I have my own plans. This time, we won't fight head-on. We only have one goal—the experimental samples of the Crimson Owl."

“But…” Su Li wanted to say something, but was interrupted by Lu Zhaoming.

"No way! Liu Yan became like this because of us, we can't just stand by and watch him die!" Lu Zhaoming took a deep breath, his voice low and powerful, "The next move must be made with everything on the line..."

"Heh, interesting..."

“This is the only way,” Lu Zhaoming said in a low voice, his tone carrying an undeniable determination.

The air seemed to freeze, leaving only his resolute gaze, like two sharp knives piercing the silence.

Su Li looked at him with concern, her charming face filled with anxiety: "Can your body handle it? Don't forget, you almost kicked the bucket last time you used the Eye of Judgment."

Lu Zhaoming sneered, a cynical smile playing on his lips: "No time to think about that. Do you want to see Liu Yan turn into a pile of wasteland and fertilizer?"

He didn't give Su Li a chance to continue arguing and turned to walk out.

"Qinglian, prepare the vehicle! Xiaocao, stick close to me; your antibodies might come in handy. As for you, Su Li..." Lu Zhaoming turned around,

Su Li stomped her foot angrily, her charming face filled with helplessness.

The team regrouped, the roar of engines breaking the silence of the camp.

Lu Zhaoming sat in the driver's seat, his eyes sharp as a hawk's, staring intently at the direction of the Doomsday Factory in the distance.

There, it is both hell and hope.

The car bumped along the rugged wasteland, its wheels kicking up clouds of dust.

Lu Zhaoming gripped the steering wheel tightly, his mind constantly simulating the factory map and the traps that Red Owl might have set.

He had to be absolutely certain, because this time, they were gambling not only on Liu Yan's life, but also on the future of the entire team.

As the vehicle slowly came to a stop outside the doomsday factory, a nauseating stench filled the air—the remnants of countless experimental subjects who had died.

The dilapidated walls are riddled with bullet holes and bloodstains, as if telling the story of the fierce battle that once took place here.

"It seems that Red Owl has already noticed our arrival," Lu Zhaoming said in a low voice. He could feel a suffocating sense of oppression in the air.

Sure enough, at that moment, the factory gates slowly opened, and squads of fully armed soldiers walked out, their dark gun barrels pointed at Lu Zhaoming and the others.

A figure stepped out from the crowd; it was Chi Xiao.

A playful smile played on his lips.

"Lu Zhaoming, I knew you'd come back." Chi Xiao's voice was cold and hoarse, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue in your ear. "You think you can win? This was all just my testing ground. And you were nothing more than my test subject!"

Lu Zhaoming met Chi Xiao's gaze without flinching, a mocking smile playing on his lips: "Is that so? Then I'll show you how your test subjects destroy your testing ground!"

He slammed on the gas pedal, and the car, like an angry bull, charged toward the enemy's lines.

"Fire!" With a command from Chi Xiao, countless bullets rained down on Lu Zhaoming and the others.

With the powerful predictive ability of his Judgment Eye, Lu Zhaoming constantly dodged bullets while maneuvering the car, crashing through the enemy's defenses.

Su Li and Qing Lian also picked up their weapons and launched a counterattack against the enemy.

The little grass clung tightly to Lu Zhaoming's clothes.

Under Lu Zhaoming's leadership, the team, like a sharp knife, pierced the enemy's heart.

However, the enemy was simply too numerous; they surged forward wave after wave like a tide, filling one with despair.

Just as Lu Zhaoming and the others were about to be trapped in a desperate situation, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in front of them.

“Lu Zhaoming, I know what you want. Come with me.” Xiao Que’s voice was low and urgent; she seemed to know the shortcut to the core laboratory.

Without hesitation, Lu Zhaoming chose to trust Xiao Que. He led his team to follow closely behind Xiao Que and ran deep into the factory.

Little Sparrow led them through a maze of twists and turns, bypassing one defense line after another, until they finally arrived at a tightly closed door.

"This is the entrance to the core laboratory," Xiao Que said, pointing to the gate. "The experimental samples are inside."
