Lu Zhaoming crouched behind a twisted piece of steel bar, his eyes fixed on the passage in the distance.
As soon as the system notification sounded, he quickly hid in a concealed spot, his heart pounding.
The wind on the wasteland carried fine sand particles, whistling past our ears with a "shush-shush" sound.
He peeked out slightly and saw a well-equipped patrol team in white robes rushing towards the main control center.
"A high-energy signal source has been detected rapidly approaching." The system's cold notification sounded again.
Lu Zhaoming frowned, his gaze sharp as a hawk's, as he quickly scanned his surroundings, searching for the best ambush position.
He understood that to hold off these white-robed figures, he had to act swiftly.
"System, activate the jammer," Lu Zhaoming commanded in a low voice.
The miniature jammer in my hand started with a "hum" and emitted a faint blue light.
A few seconds later, several people in white robes on the patrol suddenly stopped, their energy weapons flashing with an unusual light.
"What's going on? The signal is unstable!" A voice from a team member in a white coat crackled over the radio, tinged with a hint of panic.
Lu Zhaoming's lips curled up slightly; this was his chance.
He swiftly leaped from his hiding place, his folding knife drawing a silver arc in the air before precisely piercing the neck of the nearest white-robed soldier.
Blood gushed out, and the sound of soldiers falling to the ground was drowned out by the heavy scraping of metal.
The patrol was thrown into chaos as the men in white robes frantically searched for the source of the attack.
Taking advantage of the brief chaos, Lu Zhaoming quickly dodged and used the cover in the ruins to maneuver against the white-robed man.
The folding knife in his hand reflected a cold glint in the dim light, and every strike was incredibly precise.
He thought to himself: I must buy more time so that Liu Gang and Xiao Dao can successfully retreat.
At this moment, Liu Gang and Xiao Dao were retreating along Plan B.
Liu Gang's face was pale, and an unusual light flickered in his eyes.

"Run!" Liu Gang suddenly shouted and turned to rush forward.
Xiao Dao followed closely behind, but after running only a few steps, he found himself surrounded by soldiers in white robes.
The eerie glow of the energy weapons flickered in the darkness, illuminating the hideous masks on the faces of the victims.
“Liu Gang, you…” Xiao Dao’s voice trembled slightly as he stared intently at Liu Gang.
Liu Gang's eyes suddenly became vacant, as if controlled by some force. He slowly raised the weapon in his hand and aimed it at the knife.
"Brother!" Xiao Dao's tears welled up instantly, her voice filled with despair.
However, just as the bullet was about to be fired, Liu Gang's body jolted suddenly. He lunged at Xiao Dao and used his own body to block a bullet aimed at Xiao Dao.
Blood immediately stained his clothes, and he collapsed to the ground.
"Quick...hurry up...I can't control myself," Liu Gang said weakly, his voice filled with pain and struggle.
Tears streamed down Xiao Dao's face, but his eyes shone with determination. He quickly hoisted Liu Gang onto his back and turned to flee in another direction.
Bullets whizzed past his ears, but Xiao Dao's steps never stopped.
Lu Zhaoming successfully stalled the white-robed man by creating chaos with the jammer, but he felt increasingly uneasy.

He must find a way to break free from Liu Gang's control as soon as possible.
Upon returning to the base, Lu Zhaoming immediately gathered everyone together.
The blacksmith was the first to speak: "If the psychological suggestion device relies on a specific signal frequency, we can try to create a jammer to completely block it." His words were firm, and his eyes gleamed with wisdom.
However, the news Old Joe brought was disheartening: "The White Coat has begun transferring the core equipment. If we don't act quickly, we will lose our last chance." His voice carried a hint of unease, as if he had a premonition of something ominous.

Liu Gang remained silent for a long time before finally nodding, but there was still a hint of struggle in his eyes.
Lu Zhaoming knew that time was of the essence and that he had to act as soon as possible.
He took a deep breath, turned to look at everyone, and said, "Prepare for action. This time, we cannot give the white-robed man any more chances."
