Chapter 26 Undercurrents

Lu Zhaoming's expression changed drastically; he realized he had fallen into a trap!

"Damn it, there's a bomb here!"

Without thinking twice, Lu Zhaoming hurriedly ran out of the factory...

Will he be able to escape successfully?

Who exactly is that mysterious dark figure?

What conspiracy does the scorpion have up its sleeve?

Lu Zhaoming struggled to run through the flames of the explosion. He needed to find out the truth as soon as possible in order to protect himself and the people he cherished.

He stumbled out of the factory, glanced back, and saw the entire factory engulfed in flames, thick smoke billowing, like a giant furnace devouring everything.

Lu Zhaoming knew that this battle had only just begun.

He must return to the safe house as soon as possible to organize and archive the intelligence he has gathered. Only in this way can he better cope with the challenges ahead.

He wiped the dust off his face and walked resolutely toward the safe house. As for the identity of the shadowy figure and the truth behind "Project Sky Dome," he was determined to find out the truth...

Lu Zhaoming sprinted all the way, his speed comparable to Usain Bolt on drugs!

After finally making it back to the safe house, my clothes were practically rags, and my hair looked like it had been struck by lightning. I was practically a walking explosion site.

He rushed into the studio, catching his breath, and began frantically organizing the intelligence he had gathered from the Scorpion's lair.

It feels like a race against time; if you're a second late, you might be going to meet Marx.

"What the hell are these guys doing? Human experimentation? They really think they're scientists!" Lu Zhaoming couldn't help but swear when he saw the appalling experimental data on the screen.

These scumbags are even more ruthless than the Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil!

Just as he was overwhelmed with work, the system suddenly popped up a message: "Warning! The host's behavior has attracted the attention of higher-ups. It is recommended to proceed with caution!"

Lu Zhaoming suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as if someone had poured ice water over him.

Higher levels?

Damn, is the game difficulty set too high?

He's just a lowly judge now; there's a boss above him.

As he was pondering what exactly this "higher level" was, the studio door was suddenly pushed open.

Su Li stood at the door, her face as cold as ice, her eyes full of questioning.

"I need an explanation." Su Li's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable sense of pressure.

Lu Zhaoming looked up at Su Li in front of him, and his heart skipped a beat.

He knew that some things could not be kept secret in the end.

But he can't say it yet, at least not all of it.

“This has nothing to do with you…” Lu Zhaoming said with difficulty, his eyes darting away.

Upon hearing this, Su Li sneered and interrupted him directly: "It's alright? Heh, I'm afraid it's not that simple, is it?" She slowly walked in, each step seeming to tread on Lu Zhaoming's heart, making him feel a sense of panic.
