Just as they rushed out of the base, a deafening explosion resounded through the sky.
The entire base was instantly engulfed in flames.
Lu Zhaoming glanced back and thought to himself, "What a pity."
The base that the scorpion had built up over so long was destroyed in an instant.
However, he had no time to sigh.
Because he has more important things to do.
"We cannot stay here; we must leave as soon as possible," Lu Zhaoming said in a deep voice.
"Where to?" Su Li asked.
Lu Zhaoming narrowed his eyes and looked into the distance.
"Let's go to a place that even a scorpion would never dream of."
"Xiao Cui, lead us around to his back!"
Although Xiao Cui didn't know what Lu Zhaoming was planning, she knew that she had no choice but to listen to him for now.
She nodded and, with Lu Zhaoming and Su Li, ran off in another direction.
Su Li watched Lu Zhaoming's retreating figure.
She always felt that Lu Zhaoming was hiding something from her.
"What exactly do you want?" Su Li couldn't help but ask.
Lu Zhaoming stopped, turned around, looked at Su Li, and a mysterious smile appeared on his lips.
"You'll find out soon enough."
With that, he turned around again and walked forward.
Su Li watched Lu Zhaoming's retreating figure, her heart filled with unease.
She had a feeling that something bad was about to happen...
The explosion was deafening, and a wave of heat rolled in. Lu Zhaoming wiped the ash off his face, spat out a mouthful of saliva that tasted of gunpowder, and stared at the sea of fire in front of him. He felt nothing, and even had a slight urge to have some barbecue.
"This wave, this wave is a complete annihilation!" Lu Zhaoming said smugly, hands on his hips, exuding an aura of "I will go even if there are thousands of people against me."
Su Li rolled her eyes and said irritably, "Can you be serious for once? The person is dead, and you're still acting silly here?"
Just then, a mechanical system notification sounded in his mind, completely baffling Lu Zhaoming.
"Warning! Unknown energy fluctuations detected. Please investigate immediately."
What? There's a hidden boss?
Lu Zhaoming's anus tightened instantly, and he quickly activated "eagle eye" mode, scanning his surroundings.
In the distance, a series of low footsteps could be faintly heard, like the movement of some giant creature, each step carrying a chilling sense of oppression.
“These footsteps…” Su Li’s expression changed, and a hint of fear appeared on her alluring face. “They’re not human!”
Xiao Cui was so frightened that she clung to Lu Zhaoming's leg, her face contorted with grief, "M-Master, let's run! I...I don't want to die!"
Lu Zhaoming took a deep breath, suppressing his unease, and stared firmly in the direction from which the footsteps were coming.
"Run? Where do you think you're going?" Lu Zhaoming's lips curled into a dangerous smile as he drew his Judgment Blade, its blade gleaming coldly in the firelight. "Since you're here, let me see what kind of monster you are!"
Before the words were finished, a hoarse voice came from afar: "Heh, Lu Zhaoming, your good days... have only just begun..."
