Chapter 70 The White Robe's Trump Card

Lu Zhaoming carefully held Xiaodie in his arms; the touch was so gentle it was almost heartbreaking.

This girl practically sacrificed herself to help him.

"Let's go, we shouldn't stay here any longer." Lu Zhaoming's voice was deep, with a hint of barely perceptible gentleness.

He knew this was not the time for sentimentality; that old fox in the white robe must have an even bigger conspiracy waiting for them.

Su Li followed closely behind Lu Zhaoming, her eyes filled with worry.

"Zhaoming, where do we go next? That old guy definitely won't let this go."

Lu Zhaoming's lips curled into a cold smile, his eyes flashing with a dangerous light.

"Of course... we should strike at the heart of the enemy!"

"Straight to the heart of the enemy?!" Su Li exclaimed in surprise, her voice even changing slightly.

"You mean... we're going to find the White Robe's lair?"

“That’s right!” Lu Zhaoming nodded, his tone certain.

"That old guy is definitely hiding in the command center deep inside the laboratory. That's where all his schemes originated!"

“But…” Su Li hesitated.

"It must be heavily guarded there, and probably full of traps. Wouldn't it be too risky for us to just barge in like this?"

Lu Zhaoming stopped, turned around, and looked at Su Li with a determined gaze.

“I know it’s risky. But we have no other choice. If we don’t take the initiative, we’ll just be led by the nose by that old guy until he completely destroys us!”

Su Li fell silent.

She knew that Lu Zhaoming was right.

The white-robed man's strength is unfathomable. If they don't find his weakness soon, they will eventually be in dire straits.

"Okay, I'll listen to you." Su Li took a deep breath, her eyes hardening.

"But you must promise me you'll be careful. If things go wrong, retreat immediately!"

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." Lu Zhaoming patted Su Li's shoulder, indicating that she didn't need to worry.

He turned his head and looked ahead, "With the 'Doomsday Judgment System' in hand, no matter how cunning that old guy is, he won't be able to escape my grasp!"

After saying that, Lu Zhaoming activated his "energy analysis" ability.

Suddenly, a strange energy fluctuation appeared in his perception, like an invisible thread guiding their direction.

"Follow me!" Lu Zhaoming shouted, carrying Xiaodie, and rushed towards the direction of the energy fluctuations.

Su Li followed closely behind, her eyes scanning the surroundings warily.

Along the way, they avoided patrolling soldiers and surveillance cameras, moving like two ghosts through the laboratory corridors.

"Watch out!" Suddenly, Lu Zhaoming stopped and pulled Su Li behind him.

Not far in front of them, a red laser beam was sweeping back and forth across the corridor.

“It’s an infrared sensor!” Su Li said in a low voice.

"An alarm will be triggered immediately if the laser beam is touched."

Lu Zhaoming squinted, carefully observing the trajectory of the infrared sensor.

He discovered that a very brief gap was left between the laser beam sweeps.

“Hold your breath and follow me!” Lu Zhaoming whispered.

After saying that, he took a deep breath and then rushed out.

His figure moved like a nimble cheetah, weaving through the gaps in the laser beams without touching any of the red lines.

Su Li followed closely behind, trying to walk quietly and carefully avoid the laser beam.

Although she was not as agile as Lu Zhaoming, she successfully bypassed the infrared sensor blockade thanks to her rich experience and calm mind.

After passing the infrared sensor, they continued to move along the direction of the energy fluctuations.

Soon, they arrived at a huge circular hall.

In the center of the hall stood a scientist dressed in a white coat.

He had his back to them, as if he had anticipated their arrival.

Lu Zhaoming's heart skipped a beat. He knew that this person was the one in the white robe!

The man in the white robe slowly turned around, revealing a completely expressionless face.

His eyes were cold and empty, like those of an emotionless robot.

"Lu Zhaoming, you really came." The voice in the white robe was deep and hoarse, making people feel very uncomfortable.

"Every step you take is within my calculations."

Lu Zhaoming calmly observed the white robe.

He discovered that the old man was more dangerous than he had imagined.

He exuded a suffocating sense of oppression, like a volcano about to erupt at any moment.

"Then tell me, what exactly do you want to do?" Lu Zhaoming asked coldly.

A strange smile curled at the corner of the white-robed man's mouth.

"What do I want to do? Heh... I want to create a perfect world!"

"A perfect world?" Lu Zhaoming sneered.

"You? Based on these filthy experiments of yours?"

"Experiment? No, this is art!" The white-robed man's eyes turned fervent.

"You mere mortals have no idea what true beauty is. Only I can create the most perfect works!"

Having said that, the man in white waved his hand.

Suddenly, the surrounding walls slowly opened, revealing dozens of huge incubation chambers.

Inside the incubation chamber, experimental subjects of various shapes and sizes are suspended.

Some have wings, some have sharp claws, and some even have several heads.

Their appearance is bizarre and terrifying, sending chills down your spine.

"These are all my masterpieces!" the white-robed man said proudly.
