Qin Qing felt sorry for her husband, and at least half a bottle of disinfectant was poured on the wound on his leg.
Thinking that they might live together for a while in the future, he said to the pale-faced man who tenderly watched his wife bandage his wound with trembling hands, "Qin Qing, twenty-one years old."
Li Xiong was frightened by the way that big belly was being used. When he heard what Qin Qing said, his thick lips suddenly curled up and he said, "My name is Li Xiong. I used to work in mechanical engineering. I'm thirty this year. From now on, I'll call you Xiao Qin!"
The pregnant husband then raised his clear, sweaty face, forced a weak smile at Qin Qing and said, "My name is Qian Bin. I used to work in a government department. I'm 28 years old. This is my wife, Sun Lili. She used to be a kindergarten teacher. She's 25 years old and five months pregnant." When he said this, his eyes looked at his wife's belly, and his eyes became softer.
The little girl held her father's hands that were tied behind her back, looked at Qin Qing and said, "My name is Cheng Xinxin, I'm nine years old, and my father is Cheng Chuan, he's thirty-three years old, and he's a doctor!" Her soft voice made people want to rub her head.
When Qin Qing heard that Cheng Chuan was a doctor, he couldn't help but look at him again, but saw that his face was pale, but there was a hint of unwillingness to surrender in his eyes.
The other tall, thin one was called Zhou Shan, a recent college graduate who was unemployed. The chubby one was called Wang Xiaobao, still a university student, but he hadn't been feeling well that day and stayed home. Both of their parents had turned into zombies, and their relatives and friends had just abandoned them.
After everyone introduced themselves, Qin Qing nodded. This was considered a preliminary understanding. Seeing their expressions becoming increasingly worse, she thought for a moment and pulled out two bottles of well water from her backpack, actually from her space.
One bottle went to Sun Lili, asking her to feed her husband, and one to Cheng Xinxin, asking her to feed her father. Then he took out another bottle and gave it to Li Xiong, Zhou Shan, and Wang Xiaobao. While the well water wasn't very effective in restoring strength, it was at least better than nothing.
Qin Qing watched them finish their water, then said seriously to Sun Lili and Cheng Xinxin, "The zombie virus takes effect about three to five hours after being injured. Remember, don't let them go. I'm going to the supermarket to scout the way and will be back soon. No one is allowed to open the door except me. Otherwise, you will bear the consequences!"
Sun Lili took Cheng Xinxin's hand and nodded vigorously. Then they helped cover the pharmacy's transparent glass door with cloth to prevent passersby from seeing who was inside. Qin Qing quietly leaned sideways and squeezed out through the slightly opened door.
Once she was alone, Qin Qing quickened her pace and rushed towards the supermarket. After all, the journey had taken too long, and she was a little worried about the items in her warehouse. She was even more worried that someone would take advantage of the items in the supermarket first.
The pharmacy wasn't far from the supermarket, and since Qin Qing had already checked in, he arrived in less than ten minutes. The first thing he did, of course, was to go to the jewelry counter on the second floor and store all the jade, whether it contained cool jade or not, into his space. Then he went to the supermarket's vegetable section. Apparently, the zombies weren't completely useless after all; they'd at least kept out everyone who'd intended to rob the supermarket. Therefore, the vegetables in the display cases were still fresh and largely untouched.
Qin Qing packed everything in, no matter what kind of food it was. She especially packed the various instant dumplings and glutinous rice balls in the freezer, along with the freezer itself. Wherever she went, she was like a swarm of locusts. She especially ate up rice, flour, and other grains, leaving practically nothing behind. Fortunately, her space had been expanded; otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to fit everything in.
After she'd almost cleared out the grain, vegetables, and frozen foods, she set her sights on the warehouse. It was a large supermarket, after all, and she was confident the contents would be a pleasant surprise. The door to the warehouse was similar to the jewelry store's, except this one didn't have a fingerprint lock, but a sturdy, large iron lock. She found a pair of pliers from the supermarket and, with all her might, finally broke the lock.
When she emerged from the supermarket warehouse, the space she had finally freed up was completely crammed full. Little did she know, the team that later came looking for supplies would be furious when they saw the empty warehouse and freezer.
Qin Qing glanced reluctantly at the clothes and quilts. She knew that if she wanted to pack more things, the best way would be to find more jade, or to find mutant zombies and obtain crystal cores to expand the space. Otherwise, no matter how much supplies she had, she would be left with nothing.
Before she even reached the door, her ears twitched. Thanks to her alertness, she saw a group of people sneaking in at the supermarket's first-floor entrance. They seemed to be working together to find supplies. Qin Qing frowned. She had just thoroughly searched the supermarket's vegetable and frozen food sections, as well as the warehouse. If they met face to face, there would inevitably be a quarrel. Besides, she didn't know what was going on with Li Xiong and the others. She was usually aloof, and she was disgusted by the group of people who had just distorted right and wrong. She really didn't want to have anything to do with them anymore.
She thought about it. The supermarket had four entrances and exits. Since this one was occupied, it seemed she could only exit through the left door. She stepped softly, bent over, and moved to the left. From a distance, she heard a thin, shrill-voiced man in the group shout to a burly man walking in front of him, "Brother, it looks like no one's been here before. Why don't we just stay here?"
Another muscular dark-skinned man turned around and glared at the skinny little man, saying in a low voice, "If you eat well, your whole family won't be hungry. We have a whole family to support!"
The skinny little man shrank back because of the stare, and then he muttered secretly: "They are just a bunch of old immortals. It's a waste of food to keep them alive. It's better to save more food for us!" But when he saw the muscular man's fist as big as a bowl, he gradually fell silent.
The burly man in front waited until the thin man finished speaking before he looked around at the faces of the people around him. Seeing the expressions on everyone's faces after hearing what the monkey said, he had the answer in his heart.
"Okay, this supermarket is so big, let's gather all the food that can fill our stomachs first, and we can deal with other things later." The burly man in the lead gave the command in a calm and majestic voice.
The group hesitated for a moment before nodding and dispersing to look for various edible foods.
