Chapter 586 Identity
Putte East Coast, Tivian.
During the day, in the remote suburbs of Tivian, there is a steep cliff along the coast. Below the cliff are countless rugged reefs. Turbulent waves sweep in from the sea, constantly washing and beating against the solid rocks, and the sound of waves is endless.
At the top of the cliff, a large military fortress stands on it. The fortress is surrounded by the sea on two sides and has tall walls, numerous watchtowers, and dense shooting holes on the sturdy turrets. On the high walls of the fortress, countless soldiers in Putin uniforms are patrolling back and forth, and the Putin flag is fluttering in the wind.
This fortress was built on the seashore. On the surface, it looked like a coastal defense fortress. However, if you look closely, you can find that the artillery on this fortress is not only aimed at the sea. There are also many troops deployed on the shore which should be the rear. The defense in all directions is very strict, and the level of vigilance seems to be much higher than that of ordinary military facilities.
The name of this fortress is Lengya Prison. Yes, it is not a military fortress in essence, but a prison, and a special prison at that. The criminals imprisoned in it are all related to secret crimes. This is one of the many prisons set up by the Pritt government specifically for special criminals.
The so-called special criminals are prisoners related to secret cases. When Plit's secret police cracked extraordinary cases, most of the criminals they captured were detained in such special prisons, from ordinary minions of the cult to Black Soil-level cadres. These ordinary members of the cult and low-end extraordinary people in the Tivian area were all detained in this prison. As for the extremely rare Cretaceous-level cadres, there are other more strict areas to accommodate them.
Outside of Lengya Prison, in the not-so-dense woods on the shore, two figures were riding two horses, walking in the narrow and long alley between the trees. The leader was a woman wearing long boots and trousers, a black windbreaker, a short hat, and a standard hunter uniform. She was Misha Devonshire, the special captain of the Tivian Security Bureau. Behind her was a hunter in uniform, also riding on a horse, named Greg.
On the slightly muddy path, the two men rode their horses towards the tall fortress in the distance. Gregor raised his head to look at the building that was getting closer and closer in the distance, and spoke.
"Ms. Devonshire, we are almost there."
"Well... the journey is not that long, it's a little slow..." Misha responded silently after listening to Gregor's words, and Gregor continued to speak.
"Yeah... it's a little longer than before, but Ms. Devonshire... is it necessary for us to come here? That guy has interrogated us many times, so he must have found out everything that should be found out..." With a hint of doubt on his face, Greg looked at Misha and asked, and Misha answered calmly.
"Last night when I was sorting out the clues, I suddenly figured out some new things and had some other ideas. If my idea is correct, that guy might be hiding something from us. This time I need to ask him clearly..."
"oh……"
Listening to Misha's words, Gregor nodded thoughtfully, and then stopped saying anything, but continued to ride his horse and follow Misha in front. After they walked for a distance, Misha in front paused slightly, touched her body as if she remembered something, then frowned and looked back at Gregor behind her.
"I was careless... My ID is missing. It seems I dropped it there when I was inspected at Muchakou. Meshihos, could you please help me look for it there?"
"Muchakou? That's still a bit far. I know. Please wait here for a moment, ma'am. I'll be back soon." Hearing Misha's words, Gregor pulled the reins in his hand and turned the horse around, then rode back along the same route. Misha rode on her horse, standing in the distance looking at Gregor's receding figure. After a while, she saw that he had completely disappeared.
In this way, Misha waited silently there, as if waiting for the return of Gregor who had left. After a while, a rustling sound suddenly came from the woods beside Misha. Misha turned her head, and then she saw a figure on horseback walking out of the woods.
It was a black horse that Misha had never seen before, slightly larger than the ones she and Gregor rode. On the horse's back was a blue-haired man who was also wearing a hunter's uniform. The blue-haired man had the same facial features as Gregor, who had left not long ago.
In front of Misha, a man who looked exactly like Gregor appeared. If the hunter uniform this young man was wearing was not a little worn out, and obviously not the same one Gregor was wearing, and the horse was not the same one, and if this young man had not had a smile on his face that Gregor rarely showed, which made people feel a little uncomfortable, and showed a temperament completely different from Gregor's, Misha might have mistaken him for the real Gregor.
"Hello, Ms. Misha, nice to meet you."
Looking at Misha in front of him, the young man who looked exactly like Gregor smiled and said "Yes", then took off his hat and saluted. Looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar figure in front of her, Misha also spoke curiously after looking at him for a few times.
"You are...Rose's man?"
"That's right. With a little trickery, he gained Xue'an's ability. Your subordinate left in a hurry just now. I almost didn't have time to observe him." Facing Misha, Qingqi continued to speak with a smile, and Misha continued to speak.
"What should I call you?"
"Well... my real name. Ms. Misha, you don't need to know it for the time being during this mission. You can just continue to call me Greg."
Shrugging his shoulders, the young man who called himself Gregor spoke to Misha, while Misha turned her head to look in the direction where the real Gregor disappeared and continued speaking.
"You won't do anything to my subordinate, will you?"
"Of course not. The most we can do is give him some false memories so that he can cooperate with our pace. Um, Ms. Misha, you care about that guy very much. Could it be that you are..." Qingbi spoke with a teasing tone, and Misha responded immediately.
"Don't talk nonsense. I'm just a little concerned about my subordinates. I don't mean anything else. That kid is quite reliable and his skills are pretty good when he's on a mission. It would be a pity if something happened to him... But then again, you actually have the ability to implant false memories in others. How do you do that?" After changing the subject, Misha continued, and "Greg" also responded.
"It's just a small trick achieved through dreams. It's not an important ability of mine. There are quite a lot of restrictions on it, and it only works in a few situations.
"Okay, let's not waste any more time talking nonsense now, let's get down to business, those guys have already started to move, we don't have much time, we have to hurry up."
"Greg" said this to Misha, and then looked at the tall fortress prison in the distance. After listening to "Greg"'s words, Misha nodded slightly, and then rode her horse back to her original destination, while "Greg" continued to follow behind her.
After replacing a subordinate, Misha continued to head for her destination. After a while, she arrived at the gate of the tall fortress prison. At the forward checkpoint, she was stopped by the guards and inspected.
After dismounting, undergoing a full inspection and showing complete documents, Misha was released. When she walked to the foot of the towering city wall, a warden with a smile on his face walked out of a small door and greeted Misha with a smile.
"Oh my, who is it? It's Ms. Devonshire... It's been a long time since we last met. Please forgive me for coming to meet you from afar."
