Chapter 228 Identity

Chapter 228 Identity

The King's Campus of Royal Holy Crown University, in the northern suburbs of Tivian.

In the morning, inside the King's Campus, in a tall administrative office building, two middle-aged men in suits, top hats and carrying briefcases were walking quickly in the long corridor. The teachers passing by couldn't help but look at the two men with curiosity, it was obvious that they were not staff members of the school.

The two men walked quickly to the end of the corridor, where they stood at a door with a large flower pot beside it. One of them knocked on the door politely, and a slightly old voice came from behind the door.

"Come in."

Hearing the voice, two men opened the door and walked into the room. Then, in front of them was a spacious office. Behind the desk in the office was a man in his forties or fifties.

"Good morning, Director Andrew." One of the two men who entered the office called out to the man behind the desk, and the other man responded with a smile.

"Haha, nice to see you again. Buzz first, Ma first, come and sit down."

Listening to Andrew's words, Buzz and Mark closed the door, then walked up and sat in front of Andrew's desk. Andrew also poured two cups of black tea and sent them to Buzz and Mark.

"Thanks."

Boots and Mark thanked him, and as he looked at the two men in front of him sipping their tea, Andrew continued speaking.

"To be honest, I've been very bored recently. I've been looking forward to someone from the bureau coming to chat with me. Gentlemen, what are you doing here this time?"

Listening to Andrew's words, Boots and Mark put down the teacups in their hands. They looked at Andrew, and Mark said in a very serious tone.

"Director Andrew, we came here this time to confirm some information with you as the King's Campus Observer."

"Confirm something? Anything happened recently?" Andrew said with a frown as he listened to Mark's words, and Buz on the other side also answered.

"Yes, some news did happen in this area last night. Let me briefly explain. Yesterday afternoon, someone sent a letter to the bureau through the messenger service of the Stonemasons Guild..."

Next, Buzz and Mark told Andrew about what happened to the Security Bureau's hunter team at the North Pine Forest near the King's Campus last night, including how the hunter team successfully ambushed the cult group at the designated location according to the contents of the letter, and how they encountered obstruction from the Cretaceous Stage Beyonders when the cult group was about to be wiped out. Andrew listened silently.

Mark, Buzz and Andrew, the three people in this room are all members of the Tivian Security Bureau, but their positions are different. Mark and Buzz are staff members of the headquarters, while Andrew is an observer dispatched by the bureau to the King's campus.

Historically, due to traditional issues, students at the King's Campus have frequently explored secrets and frequently caused incidents of varying sizes, which often ended with the Security Bureau stepping in to clean up the mess.

After experiencing such situations many times, the Security Bureau simply set up an office directly on the King's Campus and sent observers to observe the students' study of secret knowledge at all times.

Normally, these observers would directly serve as instructors for the secret groups formed by these students, guiding these young men and women to study the mysticism within a safe range. Currently, the observer dispatched by the Security Bureau at the school is Andrew.

In the office, Andrew listened to what Booth and Mark said with a frown. After drinking a cup of tea, he slowly replied.

"You mean... there might be a secret cult-like group operating near the King's Campus? They can even send out Beyonders at the level of the Creature?"

"Yes, and there was a police report the other morning that some homeless people with scars were found running south in the northern suburbs. The police arrested several of them and questioned them. Many of them seemed to be frightened and not fully conscious. A few who could speak said that they seemed to have escaped from the school."

Buzz continued to add, while Mark on the side asked Andrew seriously.

"So, now the bureau is thinking that something is wrong in the King's Campus. So they sent us to consult you, Director Andrew. What abnormalities have you found in the King's Campus? Especially regarding the abnormalities in the students' formation?"

"No, I haven't seen anything unusual here. Except for the fact that there seemed to be a shooting in the next town a few days ago, there is nothing unusual."

Andrew spoke bluntly, and his words made Boots and Mark feel obviously surprised. They looked at each other and then looked at Andrew.

"Are you sure there really isn't one? Director Andrew?"

"Of course. I've worked in the bureau for more than 20 years. Don't you believe me? I'm sure there's nothing special going on in the school. There may be something haunting this area, but I can guarantee it's not in the school. Aren't most of those scarred homeless people you mentioned unconscious? It's possible that they have poor judgment and can't name a place. Maybe they're referring to a place around the school."

Andrew said with great certainty, with a glimmer in his eyes as he spoke. After listening to Andrew's words, Boots and Mark also frowned slightly. Among them, Mark said again.

"Director Andrew, you are a senior, and we naturally trust your qualifications and loyalty... But now, can you take us to see the academic structure of this school?"

"Of course, no problem. There should be someone there right now. We can go take a look together."

As he spoke, Andrew stood up, walked out from behind the desk, pushed open the office door and walked out, while Booth and Mark followed him.

Just like that, following Andrew, Boots and Mark walked through the school. After walking for a distance in their hearts, they came to the gathering point of the students. Here, Boots and Mark saw a group of students reading quietly. This place seemed like a small library.

"Hello, Andrew."

"Yeah, okay."

Some students greeted Andrew and said yes, and Andrew nodded in response. Then he turned around and looked at Buzz and Mark who were following behind him.

"You can watch whatever you want."

Seeing this, Buzz and Mark also began to observe around the gathering point. They asked the students some questions from time to time and looked at the books they were reading from time to time, but they did not find any problems.

"Director Andrew, I heard there is an empty ruin under this school. Can we go there and take a look?"

"Ruins? I'm afraid it's not that easy to see there."

As Andrew spoke, he walked deeper into the gathering point. Boots and Mark immediately followed. After they passed through a long and clean corridor, they came to the end of a corridor. There stood a statue in front of them.

"The entrance to the ruins has long been sealed. It takes a lot of effort to get in. However, it is already an empty ruins with nothing in it. It is completely worthless. Many people in the bureau should know this."

Andrew spoke to the two people beside him with a gleam in his eyes. The two people looked at the stone statue that sealed the entrance in front of them and nodded, acknowledging Andrew's words and did not ask to open the seal.

Afterwards, Andrew and returned to the office in the administrative building. Across the desk, Andrew spoke frankly to the two people in front of him, with a gleam in his eyes still there.

"Okay, gentlemen, now you have seen everything you need to see. As you can see, there are no problems on campus. Can you help report the situation back to the bureau?"

"Well, it is indeed as Director Andrew said. There is no problem here. We will report back to the bureau right away. Thank you for your help."

Mark replied, and there seemed to be a hint of trance in the eyes of him and Booth when they looked at Andrew.

"Haha, no trouble, this is what I should do."

Afterwards, Buzz and Mark left the office together. After they closed the door and walked away, Andrew, who was sitting behind his desk, took a deep breath.

Then, Andrew's body began to change. His body shrank slightly, and his entire face began to twist and reshape like clay. His skin became thinner and his hair began to shrink back into his scrotum.

After a while, the figure sitting behind the desk no longer looked like Andrew. Whether in terms of face, physique, or skin color, it was someone else sitting there.

Bald head, pointy ears, pale skin, dark circles under the eyes, prominent cheekbones... this is the vampire of the Eight Pointed Nest, Claudius.

Claudio sat in the chair in the office, looking at the photo of Andrew on the desk, and couldn't help but snorted.

"Humph... Andrew Wynn, the identity of a dead person is quite useful."
