Chapter 270 Murder Case (1/2)

Chapter 70: Murder

At night, in the Feiteng Theater, the extraordinary and wonderful performance had come to an end, but the audience in the auditorium were still discussing heatedly, discussing the breathtaking performance that had just taken place.

Most of the audience were talking about Adele's amazing dancing skills, which seemed to have improved. Some were discussing the dance called "Mother of Scarlet", the meaning of the dance, and the highlight of the assassination that was thought to be an accidental result but was part of the dance. Some were talking about the other unknown dancer who was the main supporting role. Many people were surprised that this light dancer could keep up with Adele's dance steps. Many people thought that such a talented light dancer who was chosen by Adele as a dancer had a promising future.

The audience in the auditorium were also talking about it. In front of the giant screen on the stage, the host came on stage again to host the show and praised the performance.

Behind the giant screen, Adele, still in her bright red dance dress, walked to the side and picked up a red grindstone knife from the ground. She stroked the intricate patterns on it, especially staring at the actual circle and equilateral triangle symbols with a solemn expression.

"Have you found Maria?" Turning around, Adele, holding a grindstone knife, asked a theater staff member behind her, and the other party answered immediately.

"We've searched the entire backstage, but couldn't find Maria. Now we're looking for other places in the theater." The theater attendant in a red shirt and overalls said, then he looked at the grindstone knife in Adele's hand and asked with a hint of worry in his expression.

"Well, Miss Adele, if something like this happens, do we have to stop the performance immediately?"

"No need. Everyone has worked hard to train for this performance for a long time. Don't stop just because of me. Let's continue with the next show. We are still good friends."

Adele answered calmly, and the waiter nodded after hearing Adele's words.

"yes."

After the response, the waiter walked out of the stage, and Adele took another look at the grindstone knife in her hand, put it away, and walked backstage. The next show was about to begin.

In the audience, Dorothy no longer had the heart to continue watching the show. Now she was relying on the spiritual thread on the corpse doll Maria to sense her location. According to her perception, Maria was still in the theater, outside the venue, away from the backstage, somewhere near the audience.

'What's going on? The corpse just stopped moving after it got there? Is the controller of the corpse right there? Is he doing something to the corpse now?'

Dorothy thought so in her heart. According to her perception, the corpse had been staying in the same position for several minutes, motionless. Maybe the hidden manipulator was there.

In order to prevent Maria's original controller from noticing anything unusual, Dorothy left Maria with very thin spiritual threads, too thin to transmit visual or auditory information, and only to sense direction. Therefore, in order to determine the situation of the corpse doll, she quietly opened her magic box and took out the gecko corpse doll.

Dorothy controlled the gecko puppet and quickly jumped out from under the seats in the auditorium, quickly left the venue, and ran all the way in the direction where the puppet Maria was.

The gecko zombie flew quickly along the wall in the corridor outside the venue, and after a while it finally approached Maria's position. Then the gecko zombie's vision, and while it was approaching, she heard a sudden sharp scream coming from the front.

“Aaaaaaah!!”

Hearing the voice, Dorothy was startled for a moment, then she immediately accelerated and rushed towards the place where the scream came from. Then she saw that it was a bathroom with its door open, and a middle-aged woman was slumped in front of the bathroom door with a terrified and grim look on her face.

Seeing this scene, Dorothy felt something was wrong, and then continued to control the gecko to crawl forward along the wall, crawled into the bathroom, and saw the scene inside.

At this time, in the small space of the bathroom, there were scattered bloodstains on the walls and blood was flowing on the ground. In the pool of blood, a figure familiar to Dorothy was lying on the ground. Her face was miserable, her eyes were wide open, one of her eyes was a bloody hole, and there were several deep bloody scratches on her face. Blood was flowing out of her eroded abdomen in large quantities, and in the front where her finger was pointing, there were several crooked letters printed, forming a name Dorothy recognized.

'That guy... actually did this...' Dorothy thought to herself as she used the gecko doll to look at the scene in front of her. Then, in the main meeting room, Dorothy stood up from her original seat. When Nephnis beside her saw this, she asked curiously.

"What's the matter, Miss Dorothea?"

"Nothing, I'm just going to the bathroom and will be right back."

After briefly responding to Nefernis, Dorothy quickly walked out of the venue. After pushing open the soundproof door and walking into the corridor, Dorothy immediately came to a secluded corner, took out her magic box, enlarged the exit, and controlled a figure to crawl out of the magic box.

Our sight returns to the bathroom where Maria "died". Because of the old lady's scream when she discovered the body, many people have gathered around. These are spectators who came to the outside of the venue to relieve themselves during the intermission. They gathered at the door of the bathroom, and after seeing the scene in front of them, they couldn't help but scream in surprise.

These people were not only surprised by the tragic state of the body in the bathroom, but also by the death message written on the body before it died - "Adele".

"Hey... Hey... Someone's dead, someone's dead in here!"

"Isn't this the dancer who performed with Adele on the stage just now? How come he suddenly died here..."

"This bloody word...could it be..."

A group of people stood at the door of the bloody bathroom, panicking. Just when they didn't know what to do, a steady and deep voice suddenly sounded from behind them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please calm down."

Hearing the voice, everyone turned around and saw a man looking straight ahead, walking slowly towards them. He was wearing a dark grey windbreaker and a top hat. He was tall and thin, with a hooked nose and deep eye sockets. He held a cane in his hand and his eyes were sharp.

"Unfortunately, a murder seems to have occurred. I have notified the theater staff to come and maintain order and call the police. Please move aside and do not destroy the scene without authorization. As the person who discovered it, please stay over there and do not move anywhere until the police arrive."

Facing the surprised people in front of him, the man pointed to the side with his cane and said, while one of them looked at the man in confusion and said.

"Who are you?"

"As for me...my name is Ed, and I'm a detective." Faced with the question, Dorothy said, Edric smiled and answered.

At night, outside the Feiteng Theater, several horse-drawn carriages came rushing in from the distant street. Although the roadside in front of the Feiteng Theater was already full of carriages, these carriages were still rushing towards the roadside while ringing their bells.

Seeing the carriage coming towards them quickly, the coachmen who stopped the carriage and stayed on it wanted to shout a few times to indicate that there was no space here and wanted to drive the other party away. However, when they saw the police badge on the approaching carriage, they were so scared that they immediately gave up their seats and drove away, leaving the parking spaces for the following cars.

Several horse-drawn carriages with police badges printed on them stopped steadily in front of the Feiteng Theater. Then several policemen wearing helmets and uniforms got off the carriages. Among them, a middle-ranking policeman with the highest rank walked in front.

Sheriff Douglas stood at the entrance of Feiteng Theater. He rushed there after receiving the report. He glanced at the giant poster hanging above the theater, looked at the beautiful woman printed on it, and then led his men to walk over. At the entrance of the theater, there was already a security guard waiting anxiously.

"Did you call the police? Was there a murder here? Where is the person?"

When he saw the security guard, Douglas asked directly, and the security guard spoke happily.

"Officer, you are finally here. The crime scene is in the bathroom on the third floor corridor. I will take you there right away."

Afterwards, the guard opened the door and led Douglas and his police officers into the theater. As soon as they entered, they heard melodious music spreading in the space. Douglas couldn't help but frowned when he heard this sound.

"What's your response? A murder has happened, so why don't you stop the performance?"

Douglas spoke sternly to the guard, who answered tremblingly.
