Outside a little-known secret room in Qibao Auction House.
Xu Jiushi stood like an iron tower, his aura calm and steady, his eyes revealing a hidden glint of light.
Ning Liu's figure appeared at the end of the passage, and Xu Jiushi bowed slightly.
"My lord."
Ning Liu nodded and pushed open the heavy stone door.
"Squeak—"
The stone door scraped against the ground, making a teeth-grinding sound.
A dark and damp atmosphere filled the air, and the light in the secret room was extremely dim, with only a few luminous pearls in the corner emitting a faint glow.
In the very center, a figure was tightly bound to a cold stone chair by several dark gold, specially made chains. Runes flowed on the chains, clearly indicating that they were specifically designed to imprison powerful soul masters.
The man had disheveled hair, an unshaven beard, and his robes were stained with dust and dark bloodstains, making him look extremely disheveled.
Even so, beneath his lowered head, one could still sense an indelible air of arrogance.
It was none other than Tang Hao, the Haotian Douluo who once dominated the continent.
Ning Liu walked slowly closer, his footsteps echoing clearly in the empty, secret room.
Tang Hao seemed to sense the newcomer, slowly raised his head, and looked indifferently at Ning Liu with his bloodshot eyes.
His voice was hoarse, and there was no fear in his tone, only a detached indifference that suggested he had seen through life and death.
"Since things have come to this, just kill if you want to. Why go through all this trouble?"
Upon hearing this, Ning Liu suddenly laughed, the laughter echoing in the secret room, carrying a hint of something unspeakable.
"Hahaha……"
"Haotian Douluo? A hero of his generation?"
Ning Liu's laughter stopped abruptly, his eyes suddenly sharpened, and his tone was filled with undisguised sarcasm.
"I originally thought that Haotian Douluo, who could give even the Spirit Hall a headache, must be an extremely heroic figure."
"After seeing it today, it's nothing special."
Tang Hao suddenly raised his head, a flash of anger in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it, only letting out a cold snort without refuting.
Ning Liu walked up to him and looked down at him.
"Tang Hao, do you know where you went wrong?"
"In my view, you have committed at least four major sins in your life!"
A flicker of emotion finally appeared in Tang Hao's eyes, as if he cared deeply about Ning Liu's evaluation.
"Oh? Tell me about it."
He wanted to see what tricks this junior from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School could come up with.
Ning Liu extended one finger.
"First, he is disloyal to the clan!"
How has the Haotian Sect treated you?
"We will spare no resources to nurture you, and regard you as the future of our sect!"
"You, for your own selfish reasons, have caused the entire sect to be forced into seclusion, unable to hold its head high for decades. The sect's honor has been disgraced because of you; this is disloyalty!"
Tang Hao's breathing became heavier, and the chains made a slight clanging sound.
"I did it for Ah Yin..."
"shut up!"
Ning Liu interrupted sharply.
"Your wife is innocent, but as a successor of the Haotian Sect, you acted rashly and recklessly, putting the sect in danger. This is your fault!"
Ning Liu raised his second finger.
"Secondly, to be unrighteous to one's friends!"
"Did any elders from your sect intervene on your behalf regarding what happened back then?"
"Are there any brothers under your command who will fight for you?"
"You left, leaving all the pressure to the sect and those who trusted you. How much criticism and suppression did they endure for you? Did you ever think about that?"
"Are you aware of the fate of the four major clans with single-attribute attributes?!"
"This is unjust!"
Tang Hao's body trembled slightly as he growled.
"I don't care. If I can't even take care of Ah Yin, who else can I take care of?!"
"Yeah?"
Ning Liu sneered.
"I think in your eyes, there are only your own loves and hates, while the lives, deaths, honors and disgraces of others can be thrown to the back of your mind?"
Tang Hao's eyes flickered, clearly Ning Liu had hit a nerve.
Ning Liu continued, raising his third finger, his voice growing increasingly cold.
"Thirdly, he was an unkind father!"
"What have you done for your son Tang San?"
“You’ve been drinking every day since he was a child, leaving him to fend for himself in Holy Soul Village. Have you ever fulfilled your responsibilities as a father for even a single day?”
"You only know how to wallow in your own pain and despair, but you forget that a father should provide for his children! This is heartless!"
"I……"
Tang Hao opened his mouth, wanting to defend himself, but found that any words seemed so pale and powerless in the face of Ning Liu's accusations.
He was despondent because of Ah Yin's death. He thought this was an explanation to Ah Yin, but he neglected his responsibility to his son.
Ning Liu pressed on relentlessly, raising his fourth finger. His tone was filled with a deep sigh, like a heavy hammer striking Tang Hao's heart once again.
Fourth, he is unfilial!
"You have ruined the glory of the ancestors of the Haotian Sect!"
"Your father, the former sect leader of the Haotian Sect, died with resentment because of you. Are you aware of this?"
"His greatest wish before his death was for you to revive the sect, but you left him with unfulfilled dreams!"
"This is unfilial!"
The words "dying with eyes wide open" struck Tang Hao like a bolt from the blue, causing his carefully constructed defenses to crumble completely.
"No...no..."
He muttered to himself, his eyes glazed over, his face filled with pain and regret.
The pride and perseverance of the past were shattered under Ning Liu's merciless analysis.
He thought he was acting out of love and for justice, but in the eyes of the world, he was nothing more than a reckless sinner who was disloyal, unjust, unkind, and unfilial.
