Chapter 34 Auction Over!

Inside the auction hall, bids rose and fell, and the numbers continued to climb.

"Four hundred and thirty thousand!"

"Hehe, this friend is really persistent about Miss Ning's secret. I'll offer 450,000!"

Inside the venue, Ning Liu was watching all of this with great interest.

Suddenly, an untimely knocking sound rang out.

Ning Liu raised an eyebrow slightly. At this moment, who would dare to disturb his refined mood?

"Come in."

Ning Liu's voice was calm. He was not worried and believed that Wang Wei's strength was sufficient to handle most emergencies.

The door was pushed open with great force, and a figure rushed in, filled with rage.

It was Ning Rongrong.

Her eyes were red, clearly from crying, and her delicate makeup was smudged. She was staring intently at Ning Liu.

"Ning Liu!"

She screamed in a shrill voice, her voice trembling with sobs.

"How dare you do this! How did you even get your hands on that thing?!"

Seeing this, Wang Wei was about to step forward when Ning Liu waved his hand.

"Wang Wei, go out and guard the door. No one is allowed to enter without my permission."

"Yes, owner."

Wang Wei bowed and stepped back, closing the door behind him.

Ning Liu then slowly got up from his seat, walked to Ning Rongrong, suppressed a smile, and put on a feigned surprised expression.

"Oh dear, junior sister, what's wrong?"

"Who dares to anger our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School's little princess?"

Then, he paused, changed the subject, and spoke with a hint of mockery.

"But speaking of which, Junior Sister, you truly are amazing!"

"A simple account book could fetch such an astronomical price at auction."

"How about this, I'll make the decision. All the gold soul coins from the auction of this ledger will be yours, not a single one less. How about that? You've made a fortune out of thin air!"

Ning Rongrong was so angry at his words that she trembled all over.

She had thought Ning Liu would feel guilty and would explain, but she didn't expect him to act like this, and even tease her in return.

She suddenly realized that Ning Liu was determined to embarrass her.

Seeing that force wouldn't work, Ning Rongrong's anger instantly crumbled, replaced by a tearful look of grievance.

"Waaaaah..."

She sobbed, and tears streamed down her face like beads from a broken string.

"Senior Brother... Senior Brother Ning Liu..."

"I was wrong, I was really wrong..."

Her voice was choked with emotion, thick with a nasal tone.

"Please don't treat your junior sister like this..."

"Junior sister, please, please stop the auction, please..."

Ning Liu looked at her tearful appearance and chuckled inwardly, then said decisively:

"no."

“The auction has already begun; there’s no reason to stop it halfway through. Unless…”

He deliberately dragged out his words.

"Unless you buy it yourself."

"Aren't you very rich? You didn't even blink when you bought the soft nails."

Ning Rongrong's crying stopped abruptly.

"If my dad finds out I spent so much money on an account book, he definitely won't give me any more pocket money!"

"Waaaaah..."

She cried even harder, as if she had already foreseen her future miserable life of being penniless.

Ning Liu felt that the time was about right.

If we push her any further, this little girl might really break down.

He got up, walked to Ning Rongrong's side, and took out a clean silk handkerchief from his storage soul tool.

"Okay, okay, stop crying. If you keep crying, your makeup will be ruined and you won't look pretty anymore."

He reached out and gently wiped away the tears on Ning Rongrong's cheeks.

The silk handkerchief was soft and carried a faint fragrance, and Ning Liu's movements were unexpectedly gentle.

Ning Rongrong was a little stunned, and looked up at Ning Liu with her tearful eyes.

Under the light, Ning Liu's profile was clearly defined, and the faint smile at the corner of his mouth didn't seem so unpleasant at the moment.

She suddenly realized that this senior brother, who was usually quite unremarkable, was actually... quite handsome.

But the thought only flashed through my mind.

The next moment, she thought of the complaints she made about certain people in her diary, even some of her first times, and some of her girlish fantasies, all of which this guy had seen through.

In an instant, Ning Rongrong's cheeks turned bright red, the blush spreading all the way to her ears.

Ning Liu took in her embarrassing situation and was overjoyed.

He put down the handkerchief and softened his tone.

"Junior sister, how about this, you just offer 900,000 gold soul coins to bid on that notebook."

"After you take the picture, I promise you a huge surprise!"

Ning Rongrong blinked her still moist eyes, somewhat hesitant.

But if we don't film it, those shady characters will see what's inside...

"What...what surprise?"

She asked with a hint of uncertainty.

Ning Liu gave a mysterious smile.

"If you tell me now, is it still a surprise?"

Ning Rongrong bit her lower lip, and in the end, shame overcame her hesitation about the money.

"Okay! I'll trust you this once!"

She picked up the bidding device in the private room and pressed the numbers with trembling fingers.

Nine hundred thousand gold soul coins!

Inside the auction hall, all the noise seemed to have been paused.

The group looked at each other in bewilderment.

"She spent 900,000 on soft armor before, so it seems that's really all the money she has left."

"Now no one dares to follow, right? If it really goes badly, who can afford to pay for it?"
