Chapter 4 Human Traffickers
The pregnant woman protected her belly with a helpless look on her face. Her eyes looked around and finally fell on Shen Zhuyi, her tone pleading.
"Sister, can you hold the baby for me? He's so noisy that I can't eat. Hold him for me and I'll finish eating quickly."
Chen Zhuyi was a little hesitant, but looking at the woman's bulging belly, he understood how difficult it was for her. In addition, he had never had children in his life and had a natural love for children, so he finally nodded and agreed.
After taking the child, Chen Zhuyi looked into his eyes.
The child was probably only three years old, but was as thin as skin and bones. When Chen Zhu saw him, he immediately gave her the water in his hand and pointed at the water in a flattering manner.
"Sister, drink."
Chen Zhu's eyes curved, not wanting to disappoint the child's kindness, so she took the water, unscrewed the lid and pretended to touch it in the air. She even smelled some orange scent in the water, thinking that it was orange water made by the parents for the child.
"Thank you, sister has drunk it."
The child kept staring at Shen Zhuyi's movements and giggled when he heard her words.
The pregnant woman said she would finish eating quickly, but Chen Zhu held the child for more than ten minutes and she only ate half of it. Chen Zhu frowned, but didn't say anything and continued to play with the child with his head down.
Suddenly, she felt dizzy and the child in front of her became a double image. Chen Zhuyi felt something was wrong.
Suddenly, someone else sat down next to him. Chen Zhu turned his head and found that it was the old lady from before. Alarm bells rang in his heart and he looked at the pregnant woman fiercely.
The other party was also looking at her and smiled provocatively. Chen Zhu immediately realized that she was being tricked!
But she clearly didn't eat anything outside!
wrong!
Chen Zhu lowered her head and saw the child in her arms still laughing while holding the cup of water. During the ten minutes they had been together, the child handed her water but she didn't drink a sip herself.
There was a drug in the water! Even if she didn't drink it, just smelling it would have taken effect.
No wonder the pregnant woman eats so slowly, she is waiting for her!
They are human traffickers!
Chen Zhu reacted quickly and put the child down. He propped himself up and tried to stand up, but the aunt next to him grabbed his arm, lowered her head and winked at him. The child immediately howled loudly.
Chen Zhuyi's hands and feet began to lose strength, and he was helped by the old lady and the pregnant woman to walk towards the carriage entrance.
Chen Zhu wanted to shout for help, but his voice was too soft and was drowned out by the old lady's loud voice.
"My dear, your husband has realized his mistake. Let's go home. You see, the child is still so young. What will you do with this runaway child?"
The pregnant woman agreed, "Yes, sister-in-law, you ran away from home. I came to find you with my mother, pregnant. What's the matter? Can't we talk about it at home?"
The child walked behind, howling and shouting, "Mom, please don't abandon me."
Along the way, the confused people thought it was a family conflict and didn't pay much attention to it. Some even kindly made way for it.
Chen Zhuyi struggled desperately and shouted, but it was of no avail.
The conductor began to announce that the train was about to arrive at the station. Passengers who wanted to get off picked up their luggage and crowded in. The noise drowned out Chen Zhuyi's cry for help, and no one paid any attention.
Chen Zhuyi was held hostage, staggering as he got closer and closer to the entrance of the carriage, his heart filled with despair.
Passing by the rest area in the carriage, Chen Zhu suddenly caught a glimpse of some green.
They are the soldiers I just saw!
This is her last chance!
The huge desire to survive made Chen Zhu burst out with strength. She stepped on the old lady's foot, and when she screamed and lost her grip, she used all her strength to shake off the pregnant woman, then gritted her teeth and ran towards the soldiers.
Chen Zhuyi's face became paler and her consciousness gradually blurred. She gritted her teeth and bit the tip of her tongue, and the pain made her more awake.
step.
Two steps.
"Save me!"
Just one step away, Chen Zhuyi was grabbed by the old lady and pulled back.
Huo Jinzhi was originally thinking about his brothers when he was suddenly brought back to reality by a weak cry for help. Hearing the cry for help, his soldier's deep reaction made him take action immediately.
He grabbed Chen Zhuyi's hand and pulled her to his side. Seeing that her steps were unsteady and her face was pale, he immediately realized that she had been drugged.
When the old lady saw the clothes on Huo Jinzhi, she cursed inwardly, let go of Chen Zhu without hesitation, turned around and dived into the crowd to escape.
Huo Jinzhi supported Chen Zhu and spoke in a cold voice.
"Taozi! Yangzi! There are human traffickers, chase them!"
The two soldiers behind him reacted and immediately chased after him.
As soon as Chen Zhu knew that he was rescued, he could no longer hold on and closed his eyes and fainted.
Huo Jinzhi reached out and caught her.
…
Chen Zhuyi woke up again and found herself lying in the hard sleeper compartment. Huo Jinzhi, who had been watching her opposite, saw her open her eyes and walked up to ask.
"Comrade, is there anything else wrong with your body?"
Chen Zhu shook his head, sat up, looked up at Huo Jinzhi, and smiled slightly.
"Thank you for saving me."
The train attendant helped clean the girl's deliberately dirty face, revealing her originally fair and delicate skin. There were two small dimples beside the corners of her raised mouth, and her clear eyes were looking at him with a smile.
Huo Jinzhi was distracted by the smile, and he looked away with a vague look and hummed.
"They've all been caught. They're part of a human trafficking ring, and the child is one of them. They specifically target wary but kind girls like you."
Chen Zhu nodded.
Neither of them spoke and the atmosphere was a little awkward.
"Brother Huo, Taozi needs to stay and help. I'll go with you." The person who came in saw Chen Zhu wake up and said, "You're awake. Hello, my name is Ma Yang."
He was the one who started smoking. Chen Zhuyi introduced himself with a smile: "Hello, my name is Chen Zhuyi. Thank you for saving me."
Ma Yang smiled foolishly and scratched his head.
"Everything is for the service of the people, Comrade Shen. We have already negotiated with the conductor. You will rest here. I checked your destination and you will get off at Tongshi, just like us. We will call you then. Brother Huo and I will be seated next to each other."
Because Shen Zhuyi was a victim who needed to recuperate, the conductor made an exception and changed her carriage. Huo Jinzhi and Ma Yang, who saved people, were also upgraded to the hard sleeper carriage.
Chen Zhu thanked him and felt relieved.
After such an experience, she would be afraid to stay in a hard seat again. Now there are fewer people in the hard sleeper and there are two soldiers protecting her, so she feels a lot safer.
Nothing happened during the rest of the journey, and because it was a hard sleeper, Chen Zhu felt much more comfortable sleeping.
After two days and one night of travel, the train slowly arrived at its destination.
"Comrades, the train has arrived at its final destination, Tongshi Station. Please put your luggage away and line up to get off the train in a safe and orderly manner." The announcer's voice sounded.
Chen Zhuyi packed her small bag and got off the car with Huo Jinzhi and the others.
After spending a day together, although it was Ma Yang and Shen Zhuyi who talked mostly, Huo Jinzhi was always silent listening to them and only spoke occasionally, but they also became familiar with each other.
Chen Zhuyi was surprised to learn that Huo Jinzhi and his men were actually soldiers from Moon Island.
And the island she is going to go to is Moon Island!
Ma Yang said it was fate at the time.
However, after getting off the car, they had to separate. Huo Jinzhi and the others needed to go to other places first, while Chen Zhuyi had to follow the educated youth team on the boat to the island.
After saying goodbye, Chen Zhu took a deep breath, feeling the heat in the air, his eyes firm and expectant.
A new life is finally about to begin!
Looking at the sign, Chen Zhuyi quickly found the sign for Moon Island. Before he walked over, he heard a complaint.
