Emperor Chongjin turned around and pulled her back, then took the little baby from her arms and put her on the ground. "Niannian, why don't you go out and play? Your godfather is going to help your aunt teach the bad guys a lesson. It's better for the little one not to watch."
The little baby is pouting.
Emperor Chongjin said, "If you're a good girl and behave, how about your godfather takes you and your aunt out for a couple of days?"
"Okay!" The little boy was immediately won over and happily ran out with a "da da" sound.
Without the little baby in front of him, Emperor Chongjin looked at Chen Zhixian, pursed his lips, opened and closed them again, before finally speaking:
"Over the years, it has been my negligence. Back then, I did deliberately distance myself from Yingying because of the Imperial Advisor's words, but I... I have never felt that it was your or Yingying's fault, I..."
“Your Majesty,” Chen Zhixian interrupted Emperor Chongjin with her head bowed, “It is human nature to seek advantage and avoid harm, I know that. Your Majesty bestowed rewards on other princesses as well as on Yingying, which is enough to show that Your Majesty is only distancing yourself from her, not blaming her. Moreover, it was not Your Majesty who forced Yingying to her death.”
Instead, they are those vicious women who bully the weak and fear the strong, with black hearts and twisted minds!
The little boy couldn't hear what was said after that.
In the neighboring yard, Zhuangyou looked on with a headache at the little baby who had rolled onto the roof in the blink of an eye. The little one was round and chubby, and it was hard to see him unless you looked closely.
She really didn't know whether she should be glad that no one around saw what was happening, or annoyed that no one saw her scream, which would only make this little devil more unrestrained.
Who taught her this bad habit of climbing rooftops? What kind of little darling would climb a rooftop for no reason?
Zhuangyou looked around and, seeing no one, gritted her teeth and quickly took to the air to lift her little darling down.
When the little boy saw that his older sister Zhuangyou was coming to catch him, he giggled, rolled to the window, and dashed into the house.
Zhuangyou quickly followed, but when she got to the window, she saw that the little baby was standing obediently by the window and hadn't left.
Zhuangyou was a little surprised, but the moment she stepped into the room, she immediately sensed something was amiss.
"Sister Zhuangyou, why do I feel like something is covering my ears after I entered this room?" the little boy asked curiously as he turned around.
"Because the room has been renovated and made very soundproof. Once inside, the outside sounds are suddenly cut off, so the little princess feels as if there is a layer covering her ears."
As Zhuangyou explained softly to the little boy, she looked around the room with a slightly serious expression and a wary look in her eyes.
The little baby curiously looked around the room, sniffing the air with his little nose. Suddenly, as if he had smelled something good, he ran to a pillar and climbed up to the roof beam.
Zhuangyou turned around at the sound, and her eyelids twitched when she saw the little girl. She quickly stopped her, "Little princess, you can't move!"
But it was too late; the little boy ripped a wooden plank off the roof beam with a "whoosh."
Because of Zhuangyou's words, the little baby stopped what he was doing in a daze, blinking his round eyes innocently as he looked at Zhuangyou.
Zhuangyou quickly jumped onto the roof beam, and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that there were only a few envelopes lying quietly under the wooden plank.
"Sister Zhuangyou, what is this?" The little boy took out the envelope, turned it over, and there was a faint totem on it.
The totem was originally invisible, but when the little baby wiped it with his dirty little hand, the totem appeared.
