Leaving Xuan Di behind him, Huo Chengche hugged the sulking little baby in his arms and bounced her around, patting her back and coaxing her, "Fifth brother is so mean, he actually scolded our good baby Niannian. Let's ignore him and come on, how about the Crown Prince takes Niannian to see the flowers?"
"Okay!" The listless little boy immediately perked up and even made a funny face at his naughty and fierce fifth brother.
Then, the little girl giggled happily, kicked her short legs, and urged her prince brother who was holding her, "Prince brother, run! Fifth brother is coming to catch us!"
Immediately afterwards, a string of silvery laughter echoed in the courtyard, along with the little baby's soft, sweet voice, which arrogantly smacked her fifth brother again and again.
Huo Chengche smiled indulgently, happy to listen to his little wife's commands and play with her.
Xuandi was stunned when he suddenly missed his target. When he turned around and looked up, he found that the two of them were really gone!
All that remained was the distant, childish voice, softly and repeatedly speaking ill of him.
Xuandi was so angry that his face turned black and he jumped up and down. Whose sister was this little brat! How could she be so easily coaxed away by that pretentious little prince!
"You ungrateful wretch!" Xuan Di cursed through gritted teeth, but resigned himself to his fate and quickly chased after him.
He really wasn't comfortable handing his sister over to that big bad wolf like that!
The little dumpling nestled on her older brother's shoulder, giggling happily. She blinked her eyes, gazing at the garden with its craggy rocks and artificial hills, and then, kicking her short legs, suggested, "Brother Prince, shall we play hide-and-seek?"
Huo Chengche hesitated slightly and furrowed his brow.
When the little dumpling saw that her prince brother didn't immediately agree, she pouted with a pitiful look, her dark eyes immediately glistening with tears. Her little voice was soft and sweet, "Okay, okay! Prince brother can play with Nian Nian for a little while!"
How could Huo Chengche resist his adorable little wife acting so coquettishly?
Just then, he heard Xuandi following behind him. His thin lips curled slightly, and a dark glint flashed in his eyes. He immediately recognized his easy-going elder brother, the Crown Prince.
“Okay,” he agreed with a gentle smile, bouncing the little dumpling around. A wicked smile played on his thin lips as he suggested, “How about we let your fifth brother be the one to catch you, and your crown prince brother can hide with you?”
The little boy also saw his fifth brother following behind. His bright eyes darted around, and with a kick of his short legs, he happily agreed, "Okay! Let fifth brother be the one to 'catch,' and we'll hide! Hehe."
Xuandi had just caught up when that carefree, silly laugh entered his ears.
He knew exactly what Huo Chengche was up to, and with a dark face, he snorted coldly, "You can play by yourselves! I don't want to play this childish game! I'll just watch you kids play from the sidelines."
While they said they were watching over her, their main concern was their younger sister. Whether it was him or Huo Chengche, the prerequisite for playing with her was to keep a close eye on her. All those strange things that had just happened were aimed at the little cutie, so they couldn't let her out of their sight!
Huo Chengche listened to Xuan Di's words and smiled coolly, not responding to him. He only pretended to regretfully say to the little baby in his arms, "Niannian, look, your fifth brother isn't late. What should we do? It's not fun for just the two of us to play. How about... we stop playing?"
