"Crown Prince! They're so mean! Sister is mean, and Auntie is mean too! They bully Niannian because they outnumber her!" The little dumpling whimpered and nestled in her big backer's arms, rubbing against Huo Chengche's shoulder, her little mouth pouting to the sky.
"Yes, I heard you. Niannian has been wronged." Huo Chengche looked at the pitiful little baby in his arms, and bounced him with heartache. His gaze fell on Qin Zhuangshi and Qin Raorao beside her, and instantly turned cold and sharp.
Full of the wrath of a superior, with a disdainful gaze that seemed to control the world, Qin Zhuangshi's heart sank instantly upon meeting that look. Her previously haughty expression froze on her face.
"Your Highness the Crown Prince?!" Qin Zhuangshi's face turned ashen as she stared in shock at the Crown Prince, who was slowly walking towards her carrying the little baby.
Seeing Huo Chengche holding the little baby, she immediately felt uneasy.
Huo Chengche ignored her and looked at Changyin, who was wiping away tears, and Wenlian, who was holding her small hand to comfort her.
"You two, come here," Huo Chengche said calmly, his voice cold yet carrying the air of a supportive elder.
At this moment, the gentle and soothing call made the two little ones feel incredibly at ease.
Changyin sniffed and quickly ran to Huo Chengche's side with Xiaowenlian.
The boy looked at the two little girls with red eyes and sighed helplessly. He then looked down at the little dumpling in his arms who was pouting, and the contrast was striking.
No wonder he's a little puppy who's been raised like a dog.
A hint of helplessness flashed in Huo Chengche's eyes. He raised his hand for the first time and patted Changyin's head.
Xiao Changyin was stunned for a moment, looking up at her cousin, the Crown Prince, who seemed like a god, and was somewhat apprehensive.
“Changyin, there are no cowards in the Huo royal family. Your mother is Princess Xinglin, the eldest princess of the same rank as the eldest princess of Dayi. You are her daughter. If anyone dares to insult your mother, you will make her pay the price.”
The boy's cool voice echoed softly in the courtyard, carrying an unyielding and authoritative air. His few words, though seemingly light, weighed heavily on everyone's heads, sending chills down their spines.
When Qin Zhuangshi arrived, she overheard a few words and knew what the girls in the courtyard had just been saying.
Her face turned deathly pale. Just moments ago, she had unconditionally protected Qin Raorao, but now, she slapped Qin Raorao across the face.

The sudden slap stunned Qin Raorao. She didn't know what had happened. She just stared blankly at her stern-faced mother, her dazed eyes filled with disbelief, and tears streamed down her face.
Just before she was about to burst into tears, Qin Zhuangshi suddenly turned stern and pointed at her, saying, "Shut up! How dare you cry! The two sisters had a few words, couldn't you just let the younger sister have her way? How dare you insult Her Highness the Princess?! Kneel down now! Qin Raorao covered her face, her ears ringing, and stared blankly at Qin Zhuangshi, whose face suddenly turned ferocious. She was so frightened that she couldn't speak.
Huo Chengche coldly lifted his eyelids. Of course he knew that Qin Zhuangshi wanted to take the initiative and directly shift the blame to "the little girls bickering and not knowing their own strength."
