Chapter 189, /.

The little one fell asleep quickly.

Zhuangyou looked at the little bundle of sleep, smiled, yawned softly, and got up to go to the outer room.

The night was silent, with no sound, except for the rustling of the wind.

The little lump on the bed stirred, and a fluffy little head poked out from under the covers, its bright, dark eyes sparkling, showing no trace of sleepiness.

In the darkness, those bright, sparkling eyes were like two round crystal balls, blinking clearly even in the pitch black of the night.

The little bundle of milk perked up her little ears and listened attentively for a while. As a pair of dimples appeared on her cheeks, this little darling began to rebel completely.

The little boy quietly crawled out of bed, carefully put on his clothes and shoes, and then quietly climbed out the window.

The main room of Qinghua Tower is on the second floor. Soon, a cute little koala was hung on the windowsill.

They look so cute, but those who actually see them don't have the time to appreciate their cuteness; they're all worried for the little one.

However, no one saw it, and the little ball of flesh rolled over and easily hugged the pillar next to it, then slid down with a "whoosh".

Once on the ground, the little dumpling bounced around happily a couple of times, his dimples showing, and then he took a few quick little steps and ran out of the yard.

It was the dead of night, a time for deep sleep.

The little eunuch guarding the gate was dozing off when the little boy ran up to him, skillfully found a large round barrel and hid behind it. Then he pricked up his little ears and listened carefully to see where people were.

Then, the little girl looked up at the wall, and soon she spotted a section of the wall. She ran over, grabbed the vines hanging from the tree, and in no time at all, she climbed up!

The guards in the distance saw a round little figure climb over the wall and thought they were seeing things. They touched their heads and couldn't help but sigh, "The cats that the noble ladies in the palace keep are getting fatter and fatter. They're practically balls. It's amazing that they can still climb over the wall."

These words did not escape the little boy's ears. He glared angrily in that direction, his eyes, which gleamed with a faint, eerie light, further confirmed the guard's suspicion that he had seen a raccoon dog in the darkness.

Seeing this, the guard on patrol quickly tugged at him, "Stop talking! How dare you talk about your cat master like that! Let's go! The fatter the tabby cat, the more favored it is. Look how round and chubby it is, we can't afford to mess with it!"

Upon hearing this, the little dumpling became even angrier and let out a fierce "Awoo!" Although the sound was not loud, it suddenly seemed like an earthquake. The ground nearby shook, startled birds took flight, and swarms of ants and crickets fled in panic.

A rustling sound suddenly rang out, accompanied by a sudden gust of wind. Thick clouds obscured the moon, which, in the eyes of the two guards, appeared as if dark clouds had suddenly gathered and a cold wind had risen. Terrified, the two of them screamed and ran away immediately.

The little dumpling pouted, gave a haughty but adorable snort, and then strode off with his head held high.

Then, the thick clouds dispersed, the gale stopped abruptly, and even the insects, ants, birds, and beasts that had been fleeing in all directions seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, and their movements gradually slowed down.

The little baby that terrified them, though its little feet were soft and white and its legs were short, was surprisingly fast. It ran to a palace in no time.

The little dumpling tilted his nose up and sniffed the air, smelling the familiar light bamboo scent. His dimples deepened, and he ran inside.
