Zhuangyou watched Chen Zhixian's actions and knew that Chen Zhixian was subconsciously treating the little baby as the sixth princess.
She seemed unconcerned, only giving Chen Zhixian a smile in return, watching her pale face as she entered the inner room, and then looking through the window towards the maid outside the door with a slightly cold gaze.
The little girl looked at her beautiful aunt, whose face had suddenly turned pale, with a puzzled expression. She didn't understand what had happened, but she could sense her aunt's fear and panic for a moment.
However, it seems that after having that memory, the little girl can vaguely distinguish between her own emotions and those of her pretty aunt.
As for that memory, it immediately appears in the little girl's mind whenever she thinks about it, as if it were truly her own memory.
The little boy continued to tilt his head strangely.
Chen Zhixian had already taken the items and delivered them.
"These are the knee pads that Consort Min Zhao requested. I made two pairs, one thin and one thick with fleece lining, in case the weather suddenly gets cold and I don't have time to make more. There are also some thick lined jackets here for Miss Linzhi. Please try them on when you get back, and if they don't fit, I'll make some alterations."
The little boy sat on the soft couch, listening to his pretty aunt's conciliatory voice. Suddenly, his little face puffed up, and he angrily and quietly pushed open the window, peering out through the window.
The little baby peeking out saw that the palace maid named Linzhi had given her two small bundles with an arrogant glance, and then snatched them away, opening them one by one to take a look.
When she came across the clothes Chen Zhixian had made for her, she frowned, raised her hand, and threw the clothes at Chen Zhixian.
"What kind of shoddy material is this! Are you trying to fool me with this kind of stuff?"
The little dumpling pouted, her face puffed out in anger. She had just started to struggle and was about to speak up for her aunt when her little nose suddenly twitched and her eyes blinked.
Zhuangyou also realized who it was, winked at the little boy, and made a "shh" gesture.
The little dumpling puffed out its cheeks, let out a soft hum, then obediently lay back down, only its little head peeking out. It pouted, suppressing its annoyance, and then quieted down again.
Neither the domineering Linzhi nor the submissive Chen Zhixian noticed anything amiss in the courtyard.
Chen Zhixian stared at the clothes lying on the ground, her lifeless eyes devoid of any emotion. Head bowed, she explained in a low voice, "The embroidery workshop hasn't been providing any good fabrics lately..."
"Then why don't you take more money! You expect good materials if you don't pay people?"
“But I didn’t…” Faced with Linzhi’s sharp accusations, Chen Zhixian still tried to explain without losing her temper.
"If you don't have any, do more embroidery to earn money! Use the time you spend fiddling with these tattered things and embroidering those ugly clothes to do some embroidery that can earn you money! Do you think that little jinx will come back to life if you keep doing this all day?"
As Linzhi spoke, she crushed the once vibrant wildflowers on the ground.
The little dumpling couldn't hold back any longer. Regardless of who was standing outside, she angrily got up, stood on the windowsill, and shouted fiercely in her cute little voice:
"You big bad guy! Your pretty auntie kindly sewed clothes for you, and instead of thanking her, you made her sad and even trampled her flowers! I'm going to tell her—"
The little girl's words stopped abruptly, she paused for a moment, then immediately changed her tune, continuing in the same cute yet fierce tone, "I'm going to tell Grandma Dowager! I'll make her..."
