Chapter 189, /.

"From the Prince of Hengchang's family?!" The old lady was startled. She looked at the adorable little baby in her arms, blinked in surprise, and then suddenly realized, "No wonder, I was wondering where you stole this little baby from."

Upon hearing this, the little boy looked up and asked sincerely, "Was Niannian stolen?"

The old lady looked at the adorable little baby, smiled, and patted her head, saying, "Yes, little Niannian must be a little fairy who was stolen from heaven."

The little boy giggled, then tilted his head back and asked expectantly, "Can Niannian play pitch-pot?"

The little girl's ears twitched as she heard the sound of the neighbor's children playing pitch-pot, and she couldn't sit still any longer.

"Pitch-pot?" The old lady was taken aback, then realized, "That's right, a bunch of rascals are playing in the yard next door. Niannian heard the noise? But they're all older boys there. Niannian, why don't you go play with the older girls in Qionghua Garden?"

Upon hearing this, the little boy immediately pouted and threw himself into the old lady's arms, saying in a childish voice, "Niannian doesn't want to play with them!"

The old lady looked at Huo Chengche strangely.

The latter's deep eyes flashed with a cold light as he said to the old lady, "Let her go play. It's time to let those spoiled brats in the capital see that even the pampered little darling of the Prince of Hengchang's family is more capable than them."

"Okay," the old lady said, seeing Huo Chengche's expression, she knew something had happened, and she smiled kindly as she put the little baby on the ground.

The little boy happily ran a couple of steps, then turned back and asked, "Isn't Crown Prince going to play with Niannian?"

Huo Chengche smiled faintly, "Niannian, go ahead. Your brother, the Crown Prince, has something to discuss with your grandmother. I'll come find you after we're done."

"Okay!" The little boy obediently agreed, then ran off on his short legs, calling out in his childish voice, "Sister Zhuangyou!"

Kang Mama, who was standing next to the old lady, had just received a look from the old lady and was about to go and deliver the little baby. But when she turned around, she found that the little baby had already disappeared and even the sound of him was far away.

Huo Chengche shook his head and smiled at the dumbfounded Madam Kang, "Madam Kang, there's no need to see me off. Niannian runs fast; even the most agile eunuchs in the palace can't catch up with her."

The old lady was taken aback when she heard this, and then she couldn't help but laugh and cry. "The Prince of Hengchang is still the same as ever. Even raising a daughter is so unreliable."

At this point, the old lady couldn't help but sigh, "But you know, other people raise their children so well, they're so clever and adorable. Look at how Rao Rao is raised by Zhuang Shi, it's such a worry! Speaking of which, if it weren't for the Prince of Hengchang, where would your uncle be today? I had a son late in life, and back then your uncle was spoiled rotten by me..."

"Then Grandmother must thank Prince Hengchang once more." Huo Chengche took a sip of tea and spoke calmly under the old lady's questioning gaze.

When the little dumpling heard her prince brother complaining on her behalf, her earlier unhappiness vanished instantly. As soon as she stepped outside, she pulled Changyin and Wenlian aside and said, "I heard the sounds of slingshots and pitch-pot over there! Let's go check it out!"

Xiao Wenlian was still sullen. She whispered, "But Niannian, I... I don't know how to play the pitch-pot game..."

The little boy chuckled, "It's okay, pitch-pot isn't like archery, it's fun whether you hit it or not! Fifth Sister, haven't you ever played it?"

Wenlian shook her head, and Changyin followed suit, reminding the little boy, "Pitch-pot isn't a game only boys play."

"No way!" The little boy pouted and said proudly, "I listened for a while, and that boy's throws weren't as accurate as mine! Hmph!"

That little cutie is so proud!
