Chapter 189, /.

"So what!" Xuandi smiled nonchalantly. "There are always some curious little fools who are willing to fall for it."

The little boy frowned, immediately sensing that something was amiss.

Why does this "little fool" comment seem to be referring to her?

Xuan Di flicked the little silly girl's nose, then suddenly a glint flashed in his eyes. He glanced to the side and behind him, and the unrestrained wicked smile on his lips instantly turned cold and sharp.

"Alright, you three just sit here and call out as Fifth Brother just told you. If anyone comes, Nian Nian, remember to collect the money first. As for the rest, just fool around with them!"

Xuandi rubbed the little boy's head, said those words, and then turned and walked away with a flourish.

As he passed by the palace maids and eunuchs, he instructed them, "Stay far away and do not come near."

As soon as she finished speaking, Aunt Lin wanted to call out to Xuandi to ask him for clarification, but when she turned around, she found that Xuandi had vanished without a trace!

She stared in disbelief at the empty alley, then immediately looked up at the sky, but there was no sign of him leaping across the sky. Yet, Xuan Di's voice had just reached her ears!

"Don't worry, Aunt Lin. We're watching over things in this bustling city. What could possibly happen? For our young mistress's age, the bustling city is much more fun than teahouses or cosmetic shops!" Zhuangyou said with a smile, pulling Aunt Lin aside.

Aunt Lin came to her senses, still looking bewildered. She glanced at the three little ones laughing merrily over there, hesitated, and ultimately didn't move.

Aunt Lin was an old servant of the Empress Dowager. Since she didn't move, the remaining wet nurses, maids, and eunuchs could only watch from afar and didn't go forward to take their young master down.

The little ones here are quite happy.

The little dumpling pouted, still holding a grudge against that "curious little fool".

However, the little glutton, wanting to eat a big meal, still called out to her brother in her childish voice.

Little Bun: "Child prodigy, fortune teller, face reader, divination—three coins a time!"

Long tone: "Face reading, fortune telling, three coins!"

Wenlian: "Three coins!"

This adorable baby's voice, with its two echoes, attracted a lot of attention. Many people treated it as a rare sight and came to join in the fun.

Before long, the stall was surrounded by a crowd of onlookers, mostly old women who had come to the market.

Of course, these old women wouldn't actually give three coins; how much they gave depended entirely on their mood.

"Grandma, Grandma, you can't lie to the baby!" The little baby hugged Grandma Sun tightly, not letting her leave. He pouted and spread out his little hand, revealing two copper coins.

“It’s only three coins a time, but Grandma only charges two. Grandma is such a kind person, she would never lie to a little baby, right?” the little baby said in a childish voice, her bright black eyes blinking as she looked at her.

Grandma Sun was amused by the little boy's appearance and laughed heartily. She picked up her chubby grandson and twisted his ear, saying, "Look at you, look at you! This little girl is so young and she can already talk sweetly and make money, while all you know is how to eat! You can't even do farm work!"

As she spoke, Granny Sun took out two more copper coins from her bosom and placed them in the chubby little hands. She then took the opportunity to pinch the cheeks of each of the three little children, beaming with joy. "Alright, alright, since you're such a sweet little girl, how about Granny gives you an extra coin?"

"Okay!" The little boy, clutching the four large copper coins he had finally earned after sweet-talking for so long, happily waved goodbye to his grandmother.
