“If that’s what Mr. Tong thinks, then… that’s fine too.” Huo Chengche coughed, looking at Tong Youlin’s devout and serious expression, he was both amused and exasperated.
Upon hearing the young boy recognize his surname so readily, Tong Youlin was even more convinced of his guess. He immediately smiled and invited the boy inside, saying, "Little immortal, please come in and sit down! You couldn't bear to see us like this, so you came to save us, couldn't you!"
He invited the boy into the house, speaking excitedly as he prepared to bow down.
Huo Chengche raised his hand to support Tong Youlin. Hearing his words, his sword-like eyebrows furrowed, his expression imposing and sharp.
save?
Hearing Tong Youlin's words, he narrowed his deep eyes, gave a nonchalant "hmm," and followed up on Tong Youlin's words, saying calmly, "I came here for Niannian. Since I have encountered you who have been wronged, I will naturally not sit idly by. Tell me about it."
Huo Chengche did not acknowledge the immortal's identity, but Tong Youlin was too excited to notice it for a moment.
He felt the strength of the boy's hand, which was enough to support him as he was about to kneel down. This was definitely not the strength of an ordinary child!
Tongyou Lin immediately became even more respectful.
This was a lucky accident, a twist of fate.
Huo Chengche gestured slightly toward the seat beside him, nodded, and said in a low voice, "Please sit down, sir. Would you mind bringing me a damp cloth?"
When the boy mentioned "wet handkerchief," he looked down at the little baby in his arms who was panting.
Tongyou Lin immediately understood, "I can't accept being called 'Master' by a deity, so I'll have my wife go get a handkerchief for little Niannian!"
Nian Nian Little Fairy?
Huo Chengche listened to his address with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. After nodding his thanks, he watched him leave before looking down and gently bouncing the little baby who was nestled on his shoulder and blowing bubbles. "What great thing did Niannian do to make this bearded man misunderstand like this?"
The little baby sniffed, blinked his innocent, dark, watery eyes, snuggled into his elder brother Zhu Xiang's warm embrace, and cuddled against his neck, refusing to let go.
Huo Chengche knew the little girl was frightened, so he gently patted her back and said in a deep, slightly hoarse voice, "Alright, Niannian, don't be afraid anymore. Your Crown Prince brother will never leave Niannian again. Didn't your Crown Prince brother tell you that no matter where Niannian goes, your Crown Prince brother will be able to find her?"
Wherever she is, I will be by her side; whenever she needs me, I will appear.
A promise is a promise.
The boy's slightly husky voice rang in the little boy's ear with a seductive quality, calm and steady. The little boy sniffed, moved his fluffy little head, tilted his head to look at the prince's gentle profile, and rubbed his soft, pink face against his neck.
A strong sense of familiarity suddenly swept over the little girl, something struggling and churning in her consciousness, some kind of memory, but it always seemed to be covered by something, she couldn't remember, only her emotions showed through.
I can recall the feelings and emotions I had at the time, but I can't remember the memories of that time. This feeling is terrible.
The little dumpling lifted her head, whimpering like a spoiled little animal, and stood up domineeringly by stepping on the boy's arm. She held onto her older brother's neck, pouted her little mouth, and brought her little face close to his face, sniffing his face with her little nose.
Sniff, and sniff again.
The little baby sniffed around the boy's face several times, its soft little nose almost touching the boy's face a few times.
