Zhuangyou quickly stepped forward, gathered the three little dumplings into her arms, and looked back at the empty path behind her. She knew that if Aunt Lin and the others hadn't arrived by now, they were probably lost.
Soon, the courtyard was in complete chaos.
Qin Raorao was instantly surrounded by people after she fell. There were maids and wet nurses who seemed to appear out of nowhere, as well as little girls who gently greeted her and scolded her for being a "wild girl".
Zhuangyou looked at the crowd surrounding her with a headache, which showed just how much the second daughter of the Duke of Zhongwu was favored.
Xiao Changyin looked at the chaotic crowd with fear, her eyes already brimming with tears. She turned to Zhuangyou and asked, "Sister Zhuangyou, did I cause trouble?"
"So what if I caused trouble? It's not like I made a mistake. I cause trouble every day at home. There's a saying, 'a blessing in disguise,' so causing trouble isn't necessarily a bad thing!" The little dumpling said earnestly, using the long, mischievous tone of a well-behaved baby.
Sure enough, Xiao Changyin was confused for a moment, then nodded. Although he didn't understand, he remembered it.
Zhuangyou had a headache and gave her a helpless glare at her little tyrant.
However, she didn't get angry.
When she looked down, the little baby in her arms had already disappeared!
Zhuangyou was startled and quickly looked up, only to see the little baby had already climbed up the crooked tree next to her.
"Why are you crying? Just because you cry doesn't mean you're right. No matter how loudly you cry, you were the one who started the hurtful remarks!"
A cute but fierce little voice came from above, and everyone was stunned for a moment.
For a moment, the noisy chatter suddenly stopped, and even Qin Raorao, who was wailing loudly, was stunned. She sniffled, looked up, and stared blankly at the little baby standing in the tree.
"Whose wild child is this!" Qin Raorao's wet nurse, Madam Mo, shouted sharply, breaking the sudden silence.
"Nanny, this is some illegitimate daughter from some family. She barged in without any manners, and our young lady kindly asked her a few questions, but these unruly girls actually attacked her and pushed her!"
The maid who had been beside Qin Raorao immediately stepped forward and whispered in Mo's ear.
Hearing the maid's words, the little boy immediately said angrily, "It was this older sister who first said that Changyin's family was from a poor, remote area, and that's why Changyin pushed her!"
With a cold face, Mo the wet nurse glanced at the little bundle of milk in the tree and snorted coldly, "No matter what the reason, you can't push our girl! Can't you talk things out if there's a misunderstanding?"
The little boy immediately retorted angrily, "Then why don't you say: no matter what, you can't be rude to guests! Why can't you speak properly and instead look down on people?"
This little one is really good at mimicking adults' speech.
The wet nurse was speechless for a moment, and finally had to take a good look at this little bundle of joy.
At only three years old, he can speak eloquently and persuasively!
The wet nurse's face darkened, and she ignored the little boy, asking the maid directly, "Where are the servants of these ill-mannered wild girls? Did they come here on their own?"
"No," the maid quickly looked around and, upon seeing Zhuangyou, immediately pointed at her, "She's over there!"
The little dumpling frowned as she looked at Nanny Mo, who was completely ignoring her. She jumped up in front of her, puffing out her cheeks, and said in a cute but fierce tone, "Why do you say Nian Nian is ill-mannered just because you can't refute what Nian Nian said?"
