Huo Chengche frowned deeply—another strange person had arrived.
"What's going on? Why are you just standing here like an idiot?" Xuan Di walked over carrying a double-layered food box. As soon as he turned the corner, he saw Huo Chengche and his group.
Xuandi came following the sound and wasn't puzzled to see them there. However, the way they all seemed to be "stopping and looking into the distance" was rather eerie at first glance.
Huo Chengche snapped out of his reverie at the sound, looked at Xuan Di who was carrying a food box, his brows furrowed, and asked in a low voice, "Have you encountered anything strange on your journey?"
"Strange thing?" Xuan Di raised an eyebrow, his nonchalant gaze meeting Huo Chengche's deep and solemn expression. He paused for a moment, then straightened up and thought carefully. "No, there isn't."
As he spoke, he took the food box and swished it under his unhappy little sister's nose. The little dumpling immediately perked up, blinking her bright eyes and drooling. She immediately became restless in Huo Chengche's arms, kicking her short legs to jump onto her brother.
To be precise, she pounced on her older brother who was holding the food box.
Huo Chengche watched as Xuan Di started teasing the little boy in a very unserious manner as soon as he arrived. His brows furrowed with a sharp glint of displeasure as he glared at him.
Xuan Di's smile froze, and then his little baby pounced on the food box in his hand.

He knew all too well how hot the food box was; the food had been put in right after it was cooked. In his haste to get back, from the time the food was put in until he arrived here, it had only been about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, which was when the lid of the food box was at its hottest.

In an instant, Xuan Di didn't have time to argue with Huo Chengche. He quickly scooped up the little baby, held him in his arms, and handed the food box to Huo Chengche.
"Xiangxiang!" The little dumpling was scooped up as soon as he pounced over, and immediately pouted unhappily. He kicked his little legs angrily, and his little bottom, which was held in his older brother's arms, shifted back and forth, and then he started to wriggle into his older brother's arms again.

Xuandi breathed a sigh of relief, looking down at his younger sister's unhappy face. In the blink of an eye, she was back to being that carefree, mischievous older brother, grinning and playfully flicking her nose, teasing her with a hint of disdain.
"I think I just heard some little baby cry because of an ugly face? Tsk tsk, how pathetic, not at all like a man of the Wei family!"
The little dumpling listened angrily to the words of the five bad guys, his eyes still glistening with tears he hadn't wiped away. Hearing his fifth brother's gloating, he got even angrier. He grabbed his fifth brother's paw and bit down hard with a "woof".
"Hiss—you little brat! Let go! Hiss... keep chanting..."
