The streets of Yangon at night are as bright as day with flashing neon lights.
The navy blue Hummer was unusually well-behaved and not speeding, driving at a normal speed in the lane.
Baru was in a good mood. From time to time, he turned his head to look at his young wife who was seriously replying to fans' messages in the passenger seat. The veins on his arm that was operating the steering wheel were bulging, and his other hand occasionally touched her arm.
The cigarette in his mouth was not lit. He played with it with his teeth and tongue to relieve the dryness in his chest.
The general election is about to begin. In Yangon, Naypyidaw, and even Mandalay, various forces are ready to move. The storm is about to come. Myanmar will soon face another bloody storm. He cannot let Nan Xiaoxi stay in Yangon at this time. Sending her back to China temporarily is the best option.
But reason could not suppress emotion. When he wanted to separate from his young wife, Balu wanted to stick to her every minute and take her with him wherever he went.
Nanxi knew that he couldn't express his reluctance in his heart, so most of the time she just let him do what he wanted.
"We're here, baby, get out of the car." Balu parked the car at the entrance of "Paradise" and carried Nanxi out of the car. The younger brother who was waiting at the entrance came over and drove the car away.
"Is everyone here?" Balu asked his younger brother who came to greet him, with Nanxi's burgundy handmade crocodile leather bag slung over one shoulder and his other arm around her shoulder.
"We're here, Brother Lu, Brother Natu has already gone up."
"Got it. Bring me some ice cream and a fruit plate." Baru gave an order and took his men to the special elevator.
On the top floor of the club, just as the two of them walked to the door, Zhan Peng's nonchalant laughter came from inside.
"Hahahaha, Yingbai, you're really getting more and more useless. You even have to let your father arrange for you to get a wife."
Baru sneered and pushed the door open.
"Hey, isn't this the young master Long who just got promoted? What's up? Are you trying to be mean to me?" Zhan Peng glanced over at him. "Damn, he's still acting like this even after becoming an official."
Baru didn't bother to pay attention to him and glared at him coldly, "Are you jealous of me being an official? How about I give you the position?"
"I don't even want this lousy official in Yangon. He is nowhere near as free as the one in Daqili." Zhan Peng rolled his eyes and looked at Yingbai.
"Aren't you curious about what stunning beauty took in this evil dragon?" He raised his chin and pointed at Nanxi, "That's her, Miss Nanxi."
They spoke Thai, but when Chanpong looked over here, Nanxi knew they were talking about him and looked up at him.
Yingbai put his hands together and greeted Nanxi in slightly awkward Chinese, "Hello, I'm Yingbai, A-lu's good friend."
Nanxi smiled faintly and returned the greeting politely.
Ba Lu hugged his little wife in his arms and said, "Why be polite to him? We are one family."
Nanxi grabbed the back of his shirt with one hand and nestled in his arms. She didn't understand what they were saying and didn't respond. She just sat there quietly until Zhan Peng's phone rang.
After he finished the call, he turned to Nanxi and said, "Yana is here, do you want to sit with her?"
Nanxi's bored eyes suddenly lit up, "Okay, where is Yana?"
"Let's listen to the singer in the hall downstairs. She doesn't like us drinking, bragging and making noise. Do you want to go downstairs?" As soon as Zhan Peng said this, Nanxi knew that there were some things that she couldn't stay here to talk about, even if she didn't understand them.
She squeezed Baru's palm and said, "I'm going to go down and talk to Yana for a while, you guys chat."
Balu glanced at Zhan Peng and pursed his lips. "Go ahead, let Biaozi follow."
Nanxi nodded and went out. Biaozi came up and took her downstairs.
"Tell me, what's the matter." After Nanxi left the door, Balu seemed to have loosened the reins. He raised his hands to stretch his muscles, put his long legs on the coffee table, lit a cigarette, and spoke lazily.
"Damn it, look at you, how come your dragon pretending to be a snake didn't suffocate you to death?" Zhan Peng rolled his eyes at him, annoyed.
"You know shit. I'm enjoying myself." Balu responded while letting out a long breath.
Yingbai seemed to have long been accustomed to their bickering and even fighting. He shook his head helplessly and then looked at Baru.
"Along, what is Commander Wu's attitude towards the Myanmar election?"
Baru raised his eyes, a hint of coldness spreading through his nonchalant gaze. "Why? Do you want to get involved?"
"Along, the interests of Southeast Asian countries are interconnected, and their political perceptions are basically the same. We all know this. The Thai top leaders attach great importance to Myanmar's election. If someone who shouldn't be in power is allowed to take office, it will be very troublesome for you and me, both publicly and privately."
Baru lowered his eyes, fiddling with the cigarette case in his hand. His long eyelashes covered his shrewd eyes. "Yingbai, today is a private place. You can brag, talk business, and talk about women, but you can't talk about politics. Do you understand?"
"I don't mean anything else. I just want to make a bet in advance and make some money. Aaron, don't be so sensitive." Yingbai sneered and patted Balu on the shoulder.
Ba Lu nodded and smiled, "Isn't it easy to make money? I'll help you make it."
After all, we have been brothers for many years. Although principles are principles, everything can be discussed outside of principles.
Baru opened his beer and took a sip. "Didn't you say you wanted to get some arms? I have some here. I just got them a few days ago, and they're barely warm yet. I'll give them to you at the purchase price, and you can make a killing by reselling them. How about it?"
Ying Bai twitched his lips. "I don't know what kind of person you are. How can you be willing to let go if you don't make money? I don't expect you to have a change of heart. At the very least, you can stop cheating me."
Zhan Peng and Na Tu clinked their glasses, and they understood each other tacitly.
With Baru's dog-like temper, even a mosquito flying past him would leave a leg as a bribe. How could he not make money? What a liar.
