After coming out from Wu Meng's place, Zhan Peng had a gloomy face and didn't say a word no matter what Balu asked.
The man, who was already in a bad mood after being scolded, became even angrier and kicked Zhan Peng in the butt.
"Are you fucking deaf? I'm asking you a question?"
Zhan Peng rolled his eyes at him. "If you want to take action, go find the commander and get the order. I'll naturally have no objection. But if you want me to follow you and secretly kill people, forget it. You are the commander's treasure, and in the end, won't I be the one who gets shot?"
"It's fucking awful." Baru said with a look of disgust.
"Any news from your side? Yana has been gone for so long, I can't stand it any longer." Zhan Peng opened the car door, sat in the passenger seat, and lit a cigarette.
"At first I thought she had been abducted, and I could still hold on and look for her. But when I found out she had left on her own, I really wanted to die. A-Long, I couldn't sleep all night. I sat up all night holding her clothes until dawn. I couldn't hold on any longer.
Zhan Zhan has called Yana several times to ask about this. I don't know how much longer I can keep this a secret. How can I face my son?
The man lying on his back no longer had the unrestrained look he used to have. He had an untidy beard, dark circles under his eyes, and a dejected look on his face.
Baru glanced at him and started the car. "Let's go to Paradise and have a drink with Natu."
When the two drove to "Paradise", it was almost dark and the booths on the first floor were gradually filled with customers.
The two men, with tall figures and outstanding temperament, always stood out in the crowd. Yin Yin saw them at the cashier counter and ran over.
"Brother Along, Brother Zhanpeng, you are here? I haven't seen you for a long time." She smiled sweetly, with a hint of intimacy in her tone.
The two men, each with their own concerns, responded casually and walked towards the private elevator.
"You guys go up first, I'll have someone bring the food up later. Would you like some beer?" Her eyes were sparkling and she had a little girl's giggle. Although she was talking to the two of them, her eyes were a few inches towards Baru.
"Well, let Natu come up after he finishes his work." Zhan Peng responded, and then followed Baru who had already walked to the elevator entrance.
"Do you feel that this girl's eyes are looking at you a little too brightly?"
Baru glanced at him nonchalantly, "Why would I look into her eyes when I have nothing to do?"
Zhan Peng smiled, "Then I advise you to take a closer look."
The man glanced at him arrogantly, thinking that he was a man whose wife had run away and who was crazy about women, and wanted to take a second look at even a female mosquito.
When they reached the top floor, before they had even finished smoking a cigarette, Yin Yin personally brought people up.
He placed the beer, fruit plate, and snacks on the coffee table, then turned around and asked,
"Brother Along, Brother Zhanpeng, are you guys staying here tonight? Do you want to clean up your rooms in advance?"
This entire building belongs to them. Zhan Peng has no wife to take care of him now, and Balu's wife is not around either. Natu's family lives in the flat downstairs. The two of them come here whenever they have nothing to do. Natu simply cleared out the downstairs floor of his house that was used for storage and built an apartment for each of them. If they get drunk or stay out too late, they can just go downstairs to sleep.
"Go ahead and do your work, Yinyin. We have someone to clean our apartment. You're the cashier at the front desk, not the manager." Zhan Peng always had a faint smile on his face, and his tone of voice was flat, but there was an inexplicable sense of alienation in his voice.
Yin Yin's smiling face froze, she glanced at Baru, then looked at the things on the table.
"Well, you guys chat, I'll go get busy first." Her eyes were always intentionally or unintentionally tilted towards Baru who was playing military games on the side.
Zhan Peng has been dealing with all kinds of women since he was very young. He can read more than ten emotions from those women's eyes. If he was a little uncertain just now, now he is very sure that this girl is interested in A Long.
In other words, the look in her eyes, which made her want to rush over and throw herself into his arms immediately, was far from just interesting.
A'long is handsome, strong and resolute, and exudes masculinity from head to toe. Many girls with stronger personalities are fascinated by him. When they were fighting in northern Myanmar, the conditions were difficult and they had to bathe in the river. Many times, girls from nearby villages would come to secretly watch him when he was bathing.
Zhan Peng raised his eyebrows, smiled faintly and said nothing. He looked at Yin Yin's reluctant back and shook his head.
"Aaron, what do you think Brother Meng meant by waiting and seeing what happens? He's not trying to compromise, is he?"
Zhan Peng opened a can of beer and handed it to Balu, then spoke softly.
Baru took the beer and took a sip. "Who knows? Mengge has been an officer in Yangon for so many years. He no longer thinks like us soldiers. He is a power-grabber. Just wait and see—"
The man turned off his cell phone, stretched his arms, and lay lazily on the sofa.
"You guys can wait, but can I? As long as the commander doesn't get power, he won't be able to free up his hands to join forces with the Thai side to capture the Half-Faced Buddha. I have to play along with that woman surnamed Su. Damn it, what the hell is going on?"
Zhan Peng was furious, and even more furious when he saw Balu acting as if it had nothing to do with him.
"Aren't you enjoying it?" Baru closed his eyes. "Did you sleep with your wife a long time ago and run away because she found out?"
"I wasn't asleep. She took off all her clothes and pressed against me. I pushed her away." Zhan Peng wiped his face in annoyance.
"I promised Yana that after we get married, she will be the only woman I have. I'm a man of my words and I absolutely won't break my promise."
"Not asleep? Then she can let you go?"
