Nan Suzhi's eyes were filled with coldness as he looked at the man opposite him, gritting his teeth and his blood was burning.
"Brother, I remember what you said. I'll be leaving first." Nan Xi saw that Nan Suzhi's face was not right, and Balu was a reckless person. She was afraid that they would have another conflict, so she wanted to pull Balu out.
The man sat motionless on the chair, looking directly into Nan Suzhi's eyes with a half-smile. Then, under his gaze, he stuffed all the remaining steaks from Nan Xi into his mouth, chewed them with a wicked smile, and swallowed them.
"It's so fucking disgusting." He handed the paper to Nanxi, "Wife, wipe my mouth."
Nanxi smiled awkwardly at Nan Suzhi, "Brother, we're leaving first."
Then he grabbed Baru, pinched his lower back, stood on tiptoe to wipe his mouth and cursed him softly.
"You're crazy, Ba Xiaolu, you're just an idiot."
Nan Suzhi didn't say a word the whole time. The knuckles of his hand holding the fork were white as he watched the two of them leave while playing and joking. Then he ordered some wine and drank in the seat where Nanxi had sat until sunset and the lights came on.
Ba Lu did not take Nan Xi back to the villa, but went to "Paradise".
When I pushed the door open, Zhan Peng was lying on the sofa, cursing on his cell phone. Opposite him was Wu Jie, who was disassembling an M2000.
Baru's face darkened instantly, and he turned to Wu Jie and asked, "Why did you follow me?"
"Today is my 7th birthday. Uncle Zhan has given me a present, but you haven't given me one yet, so I came here to get it." Wu Jie asked while fiddling with the gun without even raising his head.
"Who taught you that? I didn't give it to you because I didn't want to. And you came to my house to ask for it. You have a really thick skin." Baru kicked Wu Jie in the butt.
"Ajie, today is your birthday. Sorry, I didn't prepare a gift. Can I give it to you tomorrow?" Nanxi rolled her eyes at Balu and went over to sit next to him.
"No need, Xixi, just give me a kiss as a birthday present." Wu Jie finally looked up and looked at Nanxi seriously.
"Are you looking for a beating?" Baru walked over, pulled Nanxi to his side, and glared at Wu Jie, "Get out of here."
"Xixi, this is my birthday cake. I saved it specially for you. Try it." Wu Jie ignored Baru and handed a piece of cake he brought from home on the coffee table to Nanxi.
"Thank you, Ajie." Nanxi took it with a smile. The two sons of the Wu family have high emotional intelligence, and I don't know how they were raised. The more you look at them, the cuter they become.
"Xixi, then sing a happy birthday song for me." Wu Jie became more and more demanding.
Nanxi pulled Balu aside, sat over, and sang a birthday song for Wu Jie. The man next to her had sparks in his eyes.
"Okay, we're done singing, get out of here." As soon as Nanxi finished singing, Balu picked up Wu Jie and threw him out.
The child, who had been used to being beaten since childhood, was tough and resistant to beatings. He staggered to his feet, sniffed his nose, and walked over again.
"Uncle Long, where is my gift?"
Baru was really fed up. He took out the Beretta 92F he had been using for a long time from his waist, unloaded the bullets, and threw it on the coffee table.
"Give it to me, get out of here, get out of here, get out of here..."
Wu Jie picked up the gun expressionlessly, put one on each side of his waist, and pulled up his pants. "Uncle Long, give me some bullets."
"Fuck you—" Baru could no longer bear it and was about to take action. Wu Jie was quick-witted and rushed to the door, "Xixi, remember to finish your cake."
After saying that, he opened the door and ran out.
"He's just a little kid, and you don't care if he runs away like that? Go and catch him back." Nanxi pushed Balu's arm, her eyes full of anxiety.
"He's from the Wu family, not just any kid. He's a real tough cookie, leave him be." Baru said unconcernedly, "Damn it, it's his birthday, and I have to sacrifice a gun. I owe the Wu family a debt."
"Stop complaining." Zhan Peng hung up the phone. "I was also cheated out of a gun by this kid. Damn, he was so cute when he was little that I could fool him with some money. Now he's grown up and wants a gun for his birthday. When he gets married, won't he be like you and cheat me out of my family fortune?"
"Who the hell fooled you..." Baru glared at him unhappily, slandering his image in front of Nan Xiaoxi.
"Hmph..." Zhan Peng rolled his eyes at him, "Dog..."
"Zhan Peng, are you fucking crazy?" Balu was so angry that he wanted to strangle him to death.
"Can you two stop acting like fighting cocks every time you meet?" Nanxi couldn't stand their childish bickering and said disdainfully, "If you have something to say, just say it now. I need to go home and sleep after that."
Baru finally calmed down, gave Zhan Peng a look, then took Nanxi's hand.
"Baby, let's stay in the apartment downstairs tonight. Don't worry, I bought a copy of your things and put them in there. We might be late by the time we're done."
"Well, you guys go ahead and do your work. I'm going to go downstairs and call my dad."
Balu thought about it, nodded, called Fu Chai in, and asked him to send Nanxi to the apartment downstairs and guard the door until he returned.
"I say, I've seen men who are clingy to their wives, but I've never seen anyone as clingy as you, Balu. You've become a fucking soft-tailed snake." Zhan Peng laughed at him in a mean way.
"What do you know?" Baru stretched his muscles, lay down on the sofa, took out a cigarette, lit it, blew out a few smoke rings with his face tilted back, and then spoke.
"Nan Zhenguo suddenly handed over most of his fortune to her. She's now the biggest creditor of the Aung Su government. I have to sleep with one eye open at night."
Zhan Peng's expression finally turned serious. "Is your wife a creditor of the Aung Su government?"
There was silence for more than ten seconds.
"Balu, I didn't expect you to stumble upon such a golden nugget."
The man frowned, "Am I short of money? Compared to her safety, I would rather she was that silly, delicate young lady from Daqili. Why would she need so much money?"
Bluish-white smoke blurred his handsome profile. "But, he's her father. He's thinking about his daughter. Who am I to stop him? Besides supporting her, protecting her, and preventing her from getting embarrassed or hurt, what else can I do?"
"Ah, in this world, the most difficult people to deal with are father-in-law and mother-in-law. You are better off than me. You only have a father-in-law, who is busy all day long and has no time to bother you. Unlike me, I am almost going moldy from being scolded by my father-in-law every day." Zhan Peng smiled bitterly and shook his head, lighting a cigarette.
"Your father-in-law still says he doesn't know Yana's whereabouts?" Baru asked with his head tilted.
"Hmm!" Zhan Peng puffed on his cigarette irritably. "Judging from the tone he used when scolding me, he probably really doesn't know where the person has gone."
The man thought for a few seconds and looked at Baru.
"Aaron, your wife probably knows where Yana went. Go back home tonight and behave well and help me find out."
"I see. I'll go back and ask." Baru replied casually.
